Soulless, snowy eyes followed a large buck as it walked along and stopped to graze occasionally. Paws of the purest white glide across the ground silently, stalking the deer with the skill of a purely trained predator. The wolf that possessed these eyes and paws focused on her prey fully, standing only a few feet away from it. The wolf was small, but ever since running into Esme she has been between having a tongue like a whip and being the nicest wolf you could meet. The muscles in her legs bunched and stretched with every movement, guiding her closer the prey. A laugh almost built up in her system, amused by how naive this deer was to not be cautious. She was also slightly offended that the deer didn't seem to think anything could hurt it in this place.

The fae's eyes were so light that there was hardly a difference between her iris and the whites of her eyes. Ember was in her full on predator mode, but the hunt was to take out frustration. When she had met Esmeralda, the other fae had flipped a switch in her that unfortunately Ember couldn't turn off. The fae's mood was volatile now, whip-like but with angelic looks. It was hard to resist trying to befriend her. Most would get close to her and see her kindness, then try to take advantage of it. That just wouldn't due, so she left them dead and torn apart, showing what she really was as they breathed their final breaths. There were always two sides to her, and she would always be passed off as too kind. After some time, she had wanted to stop hurting others and succeeded. That is, until Esme brought it back.

When Ember was close enough, she bunched her long legs under her small frame and prepared to jump. Pushing off of the ground, she landed on the large bucks back. Immediately the deer revolted, kicking and almost screaming. It was only a short fight, for the fae ripped into its neck until she'd mangled its throat. As it fell she jumped off and landed gracefully next to her prey. A sly smile lit her face, proud such a small wolf could bring down such a large creature. Bending her head down, she whispered softly. "Go raibh maith agat." After, she took the neck in her strong jaws, carrying it off to eat.

Settling down in the roots of a tree, she started in on the leg of the beast. Any of the food left over would go to the pack, even though their pile was already full.

The dark fae was invisible as she crept through the shadows. Her black coat kept her hidden from the animal's beady and innocent eyes. She'd been following the buck for what seemed hours but was only had been a near few, and impatient minutes. Juno's muscles recoiled underneath her fur as she was preparing herself to take down her soon-to-be meal. Her peppered lip curled showing the blood-stained and long canines. As her hind-legs were getting set to spring a whitish figure flew through, passed her emerald eyes onto the fae's prey. What the Hell? The blob then latched onto the creature with a snap to the neck dropping lifeless with a thud to the melting ground. She was angered at the thief, but stopped herself from moving towards it from her hiding place once the aroma of her pack reached the fae's peppered snout.

Her jaw clenched as she tried to resist the blood that dripped from the other wolf's mouth. Juno was hoping to bring that back to the camp but decided not to since it was now no longer in her grasp. A sigh left her muzzle, disappointed as she fought her thoughts that had told her earlier to jump sooner onto the prey. Her piercing emerald eyes watched as the white and grey wolf drag the lifeless creature away. Curiosity then sparked at the tip of her tail, telling her to follow. Now that she had been accepted into the pack not very long ago, the best she could do is be a little friendly. She'd already befriended one of the packs caretakers, Creek and instantly enjoyed her welcome. With a small pause she started into a slow, silent trot in the direction of the other. Juno made no noise as she pawed along the moist ground. Emerald eyes directly staring at the fae she didn't notice she accidentally stepped onto a dead twig. Her eyes widen with a small fear at the snapping noise that echoed through the trees. Hopefully the blob would think it was just another sound made by the birds chirping above, which meant spring was miraculously close.

Her long black legs could suddenly no longer move from the fear of the fae hearing her. No emotion left her face other than the wariness in her eyes. Oh no... She waited for the reaction from the white and grey wolf to trigger.

Ember chewed into the leg of her deer with obvious hunger. She hadn't yet fed herself today and this was a wonderful meal to fill her otherwise empty stomach. Getting to the bone, the fae then tore into its joint and chewed. The fae had been hungrier, but that was when she was a loner. Now a pack wolf, she had muscle building and could hunt better. Licking her strong jaws, she turned to get the blood stain from her fur. Ember then stood and shook, fluffing her fur as it lay on her small frame. Sitting back down, she looked around. Not much anything could taker the fae by surprise. So, when the scent of another wolf came near, Ember wasn't even an ounce surprised. Her ears flicked forward, curiosity making her want to leave her spot. No, if this wolf was interested, it would come to her.

Licking her paws, Ember smelled the scent get stronger. This was no doubt another fae. Lowering her head, she took on a protective stance. If this wolf was here to steal prey, Ember would forget that she wasn't supposed to harm pack mates. The fur on her hackles rose as she heard a twig snap. The fae almost laughed at the other wolf's lack of carefulness. When Ember realized that the wolf wasn't going to come any closer, she almost growled. Why did others not want to be around her? Probably because your insane..... her mind said to her. Ember replied to herself angrily, thinking to herself, You be quiet. I am not insane, just in pain. The fae didn't even know if that was true anymore.

Getting annoyed, she decided to mess with this other wolf. Slipping into the shadows unseen, the fae then crept silently towards the other fae. Ember made sure not to step on anything that would be loud, so her presence wouldn't be known. Coming up to the other fae's side, Ember then sat in the shadows. The only thing that could be seen were her white eyes. There was hardly a difference between the whites of her eyes and her irises. Flicking her ears back, Ember then half spoke and half growled. Her British accent flowing from her mouth like a river. "You know, it isn't exactly nice to sneak up on another pack member. If you were planning on watching me in silence you certainly were not doing a very good job." Ember disliked being watched greatly. It felt like they were judging her before they even knew her. It really depended what side you unlocked of the fae. Some were like her friend Creek, where she was friendly and warm around her. Others were like Esme, making Ember go to the darker and cruel side of her mind.

Sitting there and watching the other wolf, Ember huffed slightly. It would only be time to kno which side of her insane mind this fae could unlock.

The fae had noticed the snapping noise. Juno watched as the fae looked into her direction still remained next to the deer. The tone in the white and grey wolf's voice irritated her to a high. "I apologize my intruding on your meal but it's not like I meant to meet such a wolf in this situation. I was expecting a little hospitality but I guess that won't be happening anytime soon." Okay that was a little rude you know, maybe you should be a little friendly even though you don't know her.... She took a long and slow breath before speaking again to calm her annoyed mind. Taking a step forward, she spoke in a more welcoming tone. "I am Warrior Juno, it's nice to meet you....?" She trailed off on the question to see maybe the fae could inform her about her name at least.

Juno's eyes glanced up and down, analyzing every detail of her. She was a rather smaller wolf compared to her, but she was always taller from the start. The fae has piercing white eyes that almost looked like she had no iris once so ever and just a dark orb in the center. The warrior emerged into view, keeping her distance from the other. She was afraid the fae might take this situation to a whole another degree so she gave her enough space to talk. The scent of her pack was drenched all over her coat. She probably had been with the pack quite some time now since she seemed to be quite filled and strong to take down such an animal all on her own. Although she might be filled out some ribs still had shown. Juno was planning on persuading the wolf into letting her have a taste but she decided it was best that the other should enjoy her meal. As she waited for her response, Juno sat on the morning dew that covered the ground, straightened and completely composed.

Ember watched the other fae with lifeless eyes. When she spoke, the fae took in the rude tone. Her mind spoke to her once again, turning her attention inward. You should show her what danger she is talking to with such a disrespectful tone like that. A little blood coming from her wouldn't do any bad now would it? Ember shook her head roughly talking silently back to herself. No, I don't know her yet. You can't just tear into someone for replying with a rude tone when you yourself gave one. Inside her mind, the dark side huffed in frustration. Turning her attention outward once again, the fae focused on the oher fae.

As the other fae introduced herself, Ember kept her head slightly bowed. The other warrior was slightly bigger, but Ember's feeling were a mix of fear and menace. When the other fae took a step towards her, she took a step back. Ember wanted her space unless she knew the wolf to which whom she was speaking. " No, I don't give hospitality very often, for it respect has to be earned along with it. I am Warrior Ember, but if you would like you can just call me Em. It is nice to meet you Juno." Her white eyes stared lifelessly from the shadows, on edge as to what the other fae would do. Ember did not trust anyone or anything, so hiding in the shadows was a reflex. Sitting down, the fae kept her distance from the other wolf.

Realizing that she probably looked submissive, Ember nearly growled. Deciding different, she walked forward gracefully. As she came into the light, her coat was now seen fully. The fae's body was pure white until about mid chest, where huge gray and black swirls covered the rest of her. Eying the other fae warily, she tried to see if she planned for an attack. Keeping her small ears half flattened, Ember waited for the other wolf to speak.

She watched as the fae almost bowed her head. It made her curious to why she did it but decided not to ask. Juno's emerald eyes glanced into the white eyes of the other once she had step back. She arched a brow and remained seated showing no agression to scare of the fae. Stay calm and maybe she'll relax. After introducing herself in her almost kind voice the fae had then introduced herself as Ember with a rather interesting accent. "I understand that, respect will be earned eventually. Ember is a nice name. Are you from Age as well?" The black fae tilted her head a tad in interest. It was highly likely she was from the same pack from her scent but she's been wrong before.

"I was accepted this morning by a caretaker named Creek, do you know her?" Juno asked politely. Ember's white eyes and foreign accent were her only noticing features to her. Everything else on the other hand, did not. The rudeness in her tone wasn't all that befriending either. Usually if Juno met these kinda faes she'd instantly turn around or give a snide comment. Sadly, in this situation it is an important duty, being a warrior, to be social and know the names of all the wolves in the pack. Especially the warriors, which can be an alliance used to accompany her on an important hunt. As the fae emerged from the shadows her body came into view shining an angelic whitish and grey mixed coat. Juno, still not all that impressed by the fur, watched Ember walk out cautiously. She was proud of her color for which it kept her from being visible or noticed to another's eyes. Her gaze went upon hers as she came more visible, waiting quietly.

(( I'm sorry about our fight...... but I'm gonna avoid you until you aren't pissed at me anymore.))

Ember kept now pinned her ears against her skull. Ember took the look in Juno's eyes as hate, and it made Ember cower away. Yet another one that hates her. I guess I should just get used to it..... she thought. Cowering down, she gave up and let the other warrior have the dominance. Fire boiled in her heart, yet she lay on the ground. The fae hated this hugely, but she had been alone so long. Looking up, Ember's eyes showed the pain she had been through. Shaking her head quickly, her gaze once again turned to one of a blade. Sharp and deadly. Even though she lay on the ground, her gaze said something. They simply said, 'I know you hate me like everyone else, so why don't you just end my worthless existence?'

Speak very quietly, Ember looked away. "Yes, I am from Age. Juno is a wonderful name and yes I have met her. Creek is a nice fae who deserves a good and happy life. Unlike some others." Ember didn't give anything away that she was the one that didn't deserve those things. Her gaze was begging Juno to kill her, to end it. She turned her suicidal gaze away and looked at their surroundings. Still staying on the ground, Ember sighed. The memories were painful, but she didn't care anymore. Ember saw that the other fae wasn't impressed with her appearance, but she didn't care anymore. She was born with this grey white and black fur, even though she wished she was a color more like Juno. Having a black pelt would've helped her hide away from others, and Ember admired Juno's. Yes, this fae would have a mate and a happy life in no time. If only the other fae would stop waiting and end Ember's, then maybe the grey fae would be happy.

Keeping her gaze away, she waited silently for Juno to speak.

(( I'm not as pissed anymore...just a bit tired...))

Juno gazed at the fae that slowly laid on the ground. She didn't mean to reprimand Ember, she was just rather taller and it made her look more dominant even though she wasn't trying to be. A strange emotion filled the other fae's eyes and it made Juno feel almost worried for Ember. The she-wolf shook her head in what seemed to be frustration, her eyes then went back to her normal hard-like look. The kind of look that made a wolf always on their feet, ready to jump into action if needed to do so. Juno's expression showed little emotion but a bit surprise at the fae's words. "Everyone deserves a life, even those some others. Are you trying to say you don't want to live? To learn new skills and meet new wolves?"

Where was she going with such a depressing topic? Her thoughts tried to construct an explanation but resulted in total blackness. Nothing... The dark fae's emerald eyes gazed down to the warrior's with a friendly smile on her peppered maw. She had just met the fae but from the looks of it, she looked like she needed a hug or a little kindness in her life. Maybe that's what she needs... a friend... At the thought, her one ear pointed while the other was crooked. Her ears had a mind of their own and it annoyed the hell out of her since her ears liked to make other wolves not take her so seriously. It had it's perks though when it came to males, but since the other males were so afraid of her Alpha and father, Zephren, they didn't stay very long. Juno's attention grew as she locked eyes with the other and slowly came a step closer. Still keeping a distance between the two, she laid down to show she wasn't trying to over dominate Ember, and possibly show her that she was actually trying to be a befriending wolf.

Ember was having one of her insanity meltdowns. The small signs were nearly unnoticeable. Her eyes got a dull, dead color to them. Her fur was slightly ruffled. The fae's mind tried to cope with what it was going through, and it often led to attacks like this. Shaking her head, she tried to keep her voice from changing to a dangerous pitch as she spoke. "No, Juno, I do not deserve those things. I was told once that sane ones deserved those things, but then I was told I did not. You know who told me that? My adoptive brother. He pinned me down and whispered it into my ear, telling me how insane I was. I-i'm not sane, Juno, not at all......." The fae rambled uselessly, ending in making low mumbling sounds. The voice in her head kept screaming at her, telling her it was the worst decision to even tell another about Ember's...... condition. As Ember lay, her muscles tightened and her head pounded with the screaming. On the out side, it just looked like she was afraid. But oh, she was so afraid.

Coming out of her daze, the panic ended. Looking up at Juno with emotionless eyes, Ember said it one last time. "No, I do not deserve those things one bit, dear Juno. You certainly do, and I am sure you will get those things. If you knew half of the things I had done, you would agree with me. I am sorry for my rudeness before, but I just can't stand the perfectness of others sometimes. Even the most hideous wolves have that perfection I lack. Please forgive me, I am so, so very sorry." The fae's voice was calm, but there was a hint of sadness. The voice was gone for now, so she wouldn't get caught up in the attacks for now. Just noticing that Juno was too laying on the ground, Ember tilted her head slightly sideways. She almost laughed at how one ear flopped while the other didn't, but Ember hadn't laughed ever since she left her old pack. As Ember studied the other fae, both of her ears drooped. As a pup, her ears drooped over her eyes, for they were rather heavy for her small size. Even now, her ears dropped down in the middle sometimes. Now, it seemed, her ears decided that it was one of those times. It made Ember look slightly pup-ish, but it was something that couldn't be helped. Her onyx tipped tail fluttered on its own, but she didn't notice it one bit. Tilting her head the other way, Ember studied the other wolf. Shaking her small head, she tried to make her ears stand up straight, but it was no use. The dumb ears just dropped down again, almost covering Ember's eyes as she waited for Juno to speak.

"Sane? What do you mean sane ones? You are just another individual trying to face the obstacles life has to throw. We're all a little insane at times." When she spoke of her adoptive brother doing such things to torcher her mind, Juno felt sympathy devour her heart. "You aren't insane, Ember... I may seem sane but that's because of the environment I developed around my whole life before I had fled my pack. I'm so sorry about your brother..." She trailed off as she gazed down at the fae with dreary emerald eyes. Ember wasn't insane, she had just been worn and scared all her life. It seemed as if she didn't want to live anymore with all the baggage that struggled her thoughts. Juno saw the torcher rising in the silver eyes of Ember, and with that she knew how afraid she really was.

She listened to the fae's words that were spoked with a scared tone. "Your rudeness was no bother to me. I don't blame you for having your guard up, it's an instinct we all possess. Perfection isn't what I'd call myself, I'm barely noticed in the darkness but when you really think about it, you have the coat everyone eyes. I however am proud of my coat. I don't want to stand out like my father..." My father.. Juno hadn't realized how long she's been gone from the pack away from her loved ones that she'd left. Zephren was a kind-hearted father and cared deeply for her since she was what was known as a perfect pup. Juno had inherited her mother, Alisia's beauty and Zephren's great strength followed by both of their magnificent agility. The dark fae didn't think she was perfect but when she did show her face she felt the tension of each area have their eyes on her. It's probably why her packmates would always give her respect since she was their soon-to-be Alpha.

Her gaze went to Ember's grey and black ears that flopped down covering her white eyes lifelessly. She laughed and tilted her head to the side, at the fact she looked more like a pup than a warrior. Quite the odd ball we have here. One moment she's agressive the next she's fragile and afraid... Ember's ears were just like hers, stubborn and always in the way of complete seriousness. When the fae shook her ears, trying to put them back up, Juno caught a quick glimpse of the sadness in Ember's eyes before they were then covered again. The fae couldn't see her from the ears so Juno decided to get up from where she was, out of risk, and walk towards Em, sitting a foot away from her build that lay upon the ground. As she bent her skull towards Ember's ears she whispered in a calm voice. "Nobody is perfect...." Her emerald eyes gleamed at the white ones hoping she'd understand.

Embers ears stayed flopped over, nearly covering her eyes. This way made her eyes look bigger, showing innocence she did not possess. Her white eyes shown hints of sadness as they looked at Juno. The didn't want to live with the pain she was forced to go through day after day. Juno didn't seem to want to kill her, so Ember sighed. She nearly laughed again, but it was like the laugh refused to come. Looking at Juno, she spoke. "No, I'm not exactly sane anymore. I was raised wonderfully, and my environment could be described as nothing but good. I was even an Alphess." Ember couldn't finish, saying of how she watched her pack die was too hard. Everything was destroyed, and the fae herself almost raped. If anyone asked, Ember would say she was the Alphess of her old pack, but she wouldn't tell them how she was the one that created the loving pack herself.

Grinning small at Juno, Ember again bobbed her head to get her floppy ears out of her face. Sighing when the went back into place, Ember lifted one of her brows at Juno. "Well, these ears are rather annoying, but I could grow to like them. They fall this way naturally, and keeping them up is rather hard. What do you think? Should they stay down?" They didn't cover her eyes like they used to, but it was very pup like. When Juno came closer and whispered the words into her ear, Ember startled slightly. Cringing away on impulse, her white eyes widened in fear. Hadn't she just told Juno that words of torture were whispered to her? Mentally shaking herself, Ember stood. The fae looked back at Juno on the ground, speaking softly. " You do not know me completely, Juno. I am far from sane, but I don't care. If you want, I will share some of my kill with you. I can tell you're hungry, so don't try to deny me." If Juno stayed around, she would learn that nothing escapes Ember's eyes. She was too on edge all of the time for anything to escape her.

Dance With A Demon (Open) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dance With A Demon (Open) Dance With A Demon (Open) Icon_minitimeFebruary 22nd 2013, 16:01

"An Alphess you say? That's quite a commitment. I was in the position under the Alpha, whom was my father, Zephren. I was supposed to take the throne once he passed or I had found a mate..." A small pain shot at her heart, sometimes she wished she could never spoke of her past without hurting. The glow of her eyes faintly disappeared and it left just the green iris with no shine. Ace.. She'd found a mate but not the one Zephren had in mind. He wanted an arranged mating ceremony with Brenet, a brute that came from another pack's Alpha to join packs as one. A shaky sigh whispered from her muzzle and she inhaled slowly. Trying to avoid the topic she thought of a way to switch the subject onto something less memorable.

When the fae had mentioned her ears, Juno was relieved knowing she didn't have to change the subject. She softly chuckled at the fae's dead ears that covered her eyes stubbornly. "I think It'd be best to leave them down, no use in trying to fight them if their to stubborn to listen. Trust me, I've tried with these pests on my head as well, besides it kinda makes you look innocent. It'll help you when brutes underestimate thinking you are just another fragile fae until you lash open a can of whoop ass." Juno joked letting out a little louder laugh at the thought of that happening. "Haha imagine, the male will be entirely confused and result to retreating to what ever wasteland he came from." It's happened to her a couple of times when she was just a pup in training. A male a little taller than her wanted to wrestle thinking he could pin her down but it ended up the other way around with Juno winning. Zephren was proud of his little warrior of a daughter and saw great potential in her as well.

After the words she whispered to the sad fae she shook like as if she was having a seizure. As Ember stood she backed up another few feet giving her some space to breathe. She'd thought that it wouldn't be that bad if she soothed her. The odd one asked her some out of place questions starting with how she didn't know her and ended with if she wanted food. Juno arched a brow, concerned that this wolf had a bipolar issue... "I am hungry, Ember, I'm not denying that, but that won't be necessary. It was your kill and I can hunt for myself. Save the rest for the pack and I'll go on a hunt in the late evening when everyone has settled in. I'll be bored then and have free time so I'll just go then. Thank you for the offer though, it's nice to know that we can count on each other for food." She then bowed respectfully to the strange fae, a habit her old packmates and her had to do, to show respect towards others.

Time was ticking and she noticed how the sun had began to hit a little past noon. She wasn't completed with her den in the clearing yet and the dark fae needed to finish was she started. Juno didn't want to leave Ember though, she was different from most wolves at that usually grabbed her attention. The fact that she was in pain made her think it would be best if she watched Em for a while til it was time to separate. The rich pack's scent wrapped around her nostrils bringing her attention back onto the fae. Her fur hadn't been in these areas for that long so there wasn't much to smell other than foreign scents. "So... how long have you been here exactly, Ember? I figured you've been here for quite some time now, unlike me of course." A tilt to her head and her black ears pointed skyward, as she was looking at Ember curiously.

When Juno mentioned something about looking innocent if front of males, Ember froze completely. That was what she used to do, bring males into her den and kill them. Ever since her adoptive brother tried to rape her she had felt that all males wanted to force her into submission. The fae would never let that happen, their blood would cover the ground before that ever happened. Lowering her voice, Ember spoke softly. " Yes, I was an Alphess and loved my pack dearly, but they are no more. I tend to stay away from males and have never had one, dear Juno. They hate me and I allow them to." There was nothing Ember felt she could trust anymore, for the minute she began to trust they would run away. No one else could handle her rapidly changing moods. It was called bipolar to most, but Ember just saw it as something she had to deal with.

Ember listened as Juno spoke again, but this time she picked up the other fae's body language. Sighing, Ember spoke again. "You do not have to stay for my benefit if you do not want to. I am not asking you to stay with me. The sun sets and I'm sure you have a den to make, but I will be out at all parts of the night. Sleeping is hard when nightmares constantly wake you." If Juno truly wanted to leave, Ember wouldn't be bothered by it. She could just talk to her voice, let it speak to her. For a while, that voice was Ember's only friend. She was too dazed in bloodlust to care about anyone else. Now that she was in a pack, Ember tried to talk to that voice less. It kept coming back, but now it was angry.

"I have been here for a few moons. I tend to stay away from the others though. I guess you could call me the guardian that is hardly seen. If I were to interact with the pack more, I'm sure that they would be bothered by my presence. Being an observer has always been my way." Ember flopped ears twitched slightly, for the fae had to always be moving. Tilting her head at a angle, Ember waited for Juno to speak.

The shadowed fae nodded, understanding every word Ember spoke. She could agree with the love she had for her pack. If Juno was to take the throne, like her family intended, she'd feel the same. The pack she'd came from consisted of elders that were always kind and great warriors that nourished the pack well. There was never any problems in her father's pack, she just wasn't happy about her future being chosen for her. That's why she'd fled, was to choose her life and be free of someone else's choices. She wasn't surprised by Ember not ever finding a mate, some faes just wanted to be alone. One less mouth to feed.. I guess She thought sourly and cringing to herself in regret she had ever thought of that.

Coming back to focus to the fae's words, Juno sat with straightened posture to show she didn't want to leave. "I know you aren't asking, but in all honesty I can finish my errands later. Creek is off to her duties, so it's nice to be a little social on my first day. It's nice to have someone to talk to, even if they think they aren't sane. I do have a den to make but I'm already halfway done with it, I can get it done easily. Now the nightmares on the other hand don't phase me, Haha, it's the damn owls that keep me up all night. Which gives me a little benefit because I should be on watch when everyone is resting soundly." Juno smiled at her to show that she wanted to befriend her now more than ever. She thought that she could get used to Ember's mood swings and stubborn ears. Maybe add a little change in life for once.

She squinted at the shining ray that peeked through the trees upon the two. The sun finally decided to show it's face and it shined directly onto them like as if it was sign. Ember must of not noticed for which she was still speaking to her. Her black coat glistened underneath the shine, radiantly and making her eyes look a bit more lime-ish colored than her natural emerald as she listened to the fae. "You won't be able to avoid the pack entirely, you know. Sometime of another you're going to have to interact with them even if you want to or now." Juno had always thought it was a warrior's duty to know the pack a little more, that's how she was raised. She knew everyone from the pack but didn't have friends like most pups. Zephren had put her into Alpha training since she could run. It wasn't easy growing up knowing you had no one to share secrets no one else knows but your thoughts. After a while when she was young before she met Ace, weird voices would speak to her and it made it feel insane.

All she had was Ace, but she wasn't even allowed to socialize with him unless she snuck out or passed by him with a nod that she'd see him later. "Being invisible has isn't benefits, I won't deny that. It's nice getting to feel like for once that no one's attention is on you 24/7. But, it also gets lonely along the way. You start talking to strange voices in your head and you have no one to talk to." She paused a moment then opened her mouth again. "If we are being truthful here I do have to say this, I'm enjoying myself in your presence right now. Creek didn't stay long enough to get to know better, but with you it's somehow inviting. You know what I mean? Screw the others if they don't like you, just know that I like you." She spoke in a friendly tone with a lopsided grin. Juno meant every word she said to Ember. The dark fae truly did like her now that she saw what she was really like. Her trust was slowly building and her eyes brightened with the fact that she could have a real friend for once in her life.

Ember looked up at Juno from under her floppy ears. As the sun shown directly on them, the markings in Ember's fur were distinct. In her white eyes, it looked like the sun hat set fire. Ember's eyes tended to reflect things, choosing the sun to reflect than her emotions. Why on earth would Juno want to befriend her? It was baffling, but the fae guessed she could deal with it. Juno's smile seemed to be contagious, for a tiny one lit Ember's face. As Juno mentioned not being able to avoid the pack forever, Ember winced. Lowering her head, she replied. "I know, Juno. I don't intend on not interacting with them at all. Just as little as I have to. After my last pack, I find it very hard to love another pack. Especially when one feels raw, like they are completely vulnerable to everyone's criticism." That was how she felt, like she was a punching bag for everyone to use and then leave. There had to be something better than feeling like that, but she didn't know what.

As Juno mentioned voices, Ember almost burst out laughing. Voices? Check. The fae's mind left that thought as Juno spoke more. Perking her floppy ears, Ember listened intently. So the other fae enjoyed Ember's company? That was a first. Creek had been the only one that seemed to want Ember around, and to her she was thankful. Thinking over Juno's words, Ember believed that they could actually become close friends in the future. If Juno bothered to stay around, she hoped that she would grow used to Ember's odd behaviors. Around Juno, Ember would show what she was truly like. Maybe, with Juno's help, Ember could grow to meld with her pack better. But for now Ember would just stay in the side lines. Looking up at Juno from her floppy ears, Ember smiled slightly and said, " I am enjoying your company as well. You don't criticize me like everyone else. Thank you for giving me a chance."

She nodded as she listened to Ember's words. "I know what you mean, Ember. If it makes you feel more comfortable to do as little interaction that is possible then it's fine. Vulnerability can make you look weak though, especially from Steele. With him, you won't stand a chance. So if avoiding is the only option, take it. It keeps you out of less trouble to deal with." Juno knew the risks of being vulnerable, her trainers had told her that it was a sign of weakness and to avoid all costs of having it. Brutes will notice it and take the advantage, if you keep yourself from being exposed then nothing can hurt you. She'd stuck to that piece of advice all her life, and so far it's been keeping her from getting taken advantage of, maybe it could even work for others as well, just like Ember..

Her brows furrowed at the sight of Ember actually smiling once she said that she needs to be more social of strange voices will talk to her. What's so humorous about that? Hm.. it's Ember...might as well not ask. She ignored it, but couldn't help but smile herself. Ember's smile sent a spark of warmth to her heart like as if Juno had done something right. She was happy to see that the fae was starting to come around and smile a bit. If this was going to come something more than just packmates, then it would be perfectly fine with her, just as long as Ember was happy. As the sunshine warmed her thick black coat she couldn't help but notice that when the sunshine hit Ember's fur it made her look angelic-like. Almost as if she was an angel that had welcomed Juno to her new home. "People shouldn't criticize you because you're different. They should be judging themselves for how rude they are and what feelings they can hurt in the process. Everyone deserves a change, even wolves like you, Ember. Yes, you are different than most of the faes I've ever met, but that doesn't change anything to my eyes. You are just as equal to my eyes as everyone else in this obstacle-filled world of ours."

The eyes of the black fae glistened in the light of the sun as she stared into Ember's bright white ones. She would remember this day till the day she passes. Now that she has finally joined a pack and met kind-hearted faes to befriend, she can now feel safe knowing she will be fine on her own. With the help of the other warriors, as well as herself, the pack will grow becoming a strong and nourished home for newcomers. Ember was now a friend to her, and that all that mattered because without a friend, you have no one. The sun's ray faintly then disappeared and hid behind a cloud causing the area to darken a bit under that shadows of the trees overhead. It was getting late, and she had to get stuff done. She didn't want to leave Ember though. Maybe she would like to accompany her on the way to the Rapid Falls to get a drink. "Ember, I was wondering if you would like to come to the Rapid Falls with me. My throats kinda dry from all the running. I figured you'd want to accompany me there since I'm new and don't have anyone to talk to."

"Avoiding is my only option. I will watch over my pack like a silent guardian, only to be seen when it is absolutely needed. No vulnerability will be shown around wolves like him, just mercilessness." Ember looked to the sky as she spoke, her mind churning with thoughts. Oh, but dear Ember, you wont have to worry about vulnerability for long. The voice practically sang in her head. Oh, right, that. Her thinking was of something she wasn't allowed to speak of, so the fae focused on something else. When Juno spoke it was the perfect distraction. Any more thoughts of that and Ember would've ended up in fits of insane laughter. Sometimes the voice could be hilarious in a sadistic way, other times it was like poison.

"I agree Juno, no one should be criticized. Thank you for not seeing me any different, you are so kind. Nicer than most wolves I met." Inside, the dark part of Ember wanted to scream and yell at her for being so nice. But the fae was in control right now, and she had just made friends with Juno. Not for llloooonnnnggggg, the voice sang again. Shaking her head aggressively, she shut the voice up for now. Looking up, she noticed the sun was retiring to its home. Going to sleep for the glorious moon to have its shift at illuminating the sky. What would the world be like with no sun or moon? Ember had these strange thoughts all of the time. Most would look at her and run, but the fae had a suspicion that Juno wouldn't.

When Juno asked to go to Rapid Falls, Ember smiled slightly. "Of course Juno, I would love to." Graceful as ever, the half sane fae began walking to the place she had been only days ago. Turning her white eyes on the other fae, Ember tilted her head curiously. Her right, floppy ear covering her right eye. "Juno, what do you think the world would be like without a sun or a moon? Like, if all of the sudden they went down and never came back up. Would others believed that they died? Would the stars be told as their murderers? Surely the stars only want the sky for themselves and not have to live up to something so big and beautiful as the sun and moon. They are selfish sometimes, those stars." Ember's tended to speak what she thought, and that left other wanting to either kill her or run from her. With Juno though, the fae believed that the other wolf would be just as nice as before. As she walked, all kinds of thoughts like those ran through her mind.

"Okay...." She responded with a bit of doubt. Juno didn't like the idea of Ember taking that route but there wasn't mush of a chance in forcing her not too. She had to learn that sometimes you have to take risks and make mistakes to learn better from. The black tail of the fae twitched at the pleasant words Ember spoke. "You are very welcome. Thanks for the compliment, I try to be a respectful and well-mannered wolf...." She talked with a lively tone and a perky smile. Holding her head a little higher she smiled at the odd warrior with gratitude. She was glad that other wolves, such like Ember, thought of her in that way because that was the way her mother was like. Her mother was a kind-hearted wolf and felt that everyone was created equal. She was the kind of fae that would straighten an argument between other brutes that were fighting over dominance. Alisia wasn't one for fighting, she liked peace between individuals... unlike her father who was stubborn and hard-headed at times when it came to battling. "it's nice to know you think that way of me, Ember."

She watched as the fae looked up at the disappearing sun go behind the thick fluffy clouds in the sky. Juno looked up as well and saw a cloud in the shape of a flower. Pretty.. she thought to herself. Her thoughts ended once Ember had accepted her request to accompany her on the way to the Rapid Falls. Juno gazed down at her with a huge smile crept on her maw as she wagged her tail vigorously. She got up from her position and came up to Ember's side as she too had gotten up to walk in the direction. "Great. Maybe we can run back before the sun sets and catch us a quick meal before we settle in for the night." Her ears perked up and she turned her head towards the bloodied carcass. "Oh, Ember. Don't you want to finish that? It'd be a waste just to leave it... I suppose." Back in her old pack they always ate the whole deer and left the bones for some brutes to gnaw on. Nothing was wasted, but since the food storage was quite filled for the pack she guessed it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

"Never mind, we don't need it." She shrugged with a lopsided smile to indicated it was no big deal to her anymore. Ember spoke to her in a questioning and curious voice. She wanted to know what'd it be like if there was no sun nor moon. Juno arched a brow and gave a puzzled look. Where in the world did that come from? She thought about the question though, like as if it was something that had come across her mind as well. "Hm... well if we didn't have a sun there wouldn't be a warmth, and light... and a source to grow grass. Not that we need the grass since we eat meat, but it's part of the food chain. See if we didn't have a sun then there would be no grass for the rabbits to get thick and fat with. Thus, not making us have something to make a meal of." Juno's thoughts raced some more and she was starting to ramble but didn't really care. The trainers that taught her were very intelligent and tended to tell Juno theses things in the process. Having a mind like Juno's, her intelligence level was accordingly high for a fae's mind and it was easier for her to remember things.

"And if we didn't have the moon, well we would be blind at night and not be able to hunt. Also there wouldn't be anything to howl to either. Haha unless we'd howl to rocks, that'd be quite interesting don't you think?" She was getting off topic as she walked along side Ember. She was starting to wonder if she'd answer it with a joking matter too. Juno could really like her, and could see the friendship between them grow stronger. She looked towards her and waited for Ember's response with her eyes trained on the ground ahead of them.

Ember listened as Juno replied to her questions about the sun and the moon. Everything she said was logical, but Ember didn't believe in logic most of the time. Sighing, she spoke softly. "The sun seems so selfish sometimes, shining brighter than the moon. If it exploded, the stars could have little pieces of it. In thought, the stars would then be able to light the earth when it was needed. The moon could do its job and glow. I do love the moon so, it gives me shelter when I otherwise have none. Ha, howling to rocks really would be ridiculous." Ember walked with her head up and tail curled. Being to the Rapid Falls once already, she knew its river smell. Heard how it flowed like a silent symphony.

Walking closer to Juno, she bumped the fae with her own shoulder gently. "I know you will have a great future, Juno." I just hope you don't think I betrayed you when all is said and done. She thought this sadly. Maybe Juno would become part of Esme's plan. Ember never thought she had any siblings. Esme was like her older sister. The both share the same violent tendencies and insane minds. But with Juno, there was a connection. A memory drifted back to Ember. She had been a loner, when a rouge came to find her. He said that he knew her father, and that Ember's father had new pups with another female but there was only one pup left. That meant that Ember had a brother or sister somewhere out there. Ember's heart yearned to know the sibling, but for now the pack wolves would just have to be with her. Bowing her head, Ember lead Juno to the Rapid Falls.
