Arrival Of A King [Mandatory Pack Thread]

In the last few months Quinn had been so busy trying to learn the new areas, as well as the ones she added to the pack. She patrolled the lands, keeping her head high and her paws light. Her tail hung gently over her spine, holding an authoritative stance. When she made it back to the pack lands, she moved to her den. Immediately, she wanted to see the stunning features of her mate, but more importantly, she wanted to prove to him that he was important to her. She moved to his side, he still sleeping soundly in their den. The scents of Azul and Lucy had faded with time and the excessive strong smell covering their own. This was their home now, completely. When she was close to him, she licked his muzzle in a warm greeting. "My love, please wake up. There is something we must do, we must speak." She waited for him to arise and walk out with her. "But before we meet the pack, I want you to know that I adore you. I love you more than anything else. And in the time you have been back, I want you to be a crucial member of this pack. I want our members to see you as a figure of power. I want you to be my Alpha, again. But I want the rest of the pack to know it as well. And to tell them, I want you to be the one." She looked to him with a vivid smile and licked his cheek once more. "When we come out of this den, I will call the pack to order, but you will address them. You can tell them anything you like. I will support you one hundred percent." With the conversation completed, Quinn bowed her head gently to him and licked his ear before turning out of their den and walking to the pack center. As her paws pressed lightly to the ground, she looked back to her mate with a smile. She watched him walk out of the den, and then lifted her head to the sky. She closed her eyes tight and shut the sun out. As her chin was straight up, she released a howl into the sky. The song was loud, but gentle. It reached the very tip top of the mountains and fell gracefully to the ground again. She called unto the pack wolves, requesting them to come to the center at once. Once she finished the call, she lowered her head and waited for her mate to sit by her side. She rested her haunches to the ground and wrapped her tail around her paws gingerly.

From the time of the devastation of Maple Woods, the land Fenris had once called home with his beloved family, sleep had not come easy to the large brute. Nightmares had constantly clouded his mind as to the uncertain fate of his mate, his darling Quinn, and their young pups. He still worried about what had become of his pups. He prayed that if they were still alive, that they were together. The three would take care of each other. Of this he was certain. Reed would take care of his sisters, protect them from the world. Harley, with her unwavering bravery would not lead them astray, and little Cadence would ensure them well fed and healthy. Having found Quinn, he could only hope that their litter would find their way to them, as he had to Quinn. Being reunited with her, he was now able to sleep more soundly at night with her by his side. He had not been surprised to find her once again in an Alphess position in this new land. She was a natural born leader, the perfect combination of assertive, kind, forgiving and patient. The wolves of Helidos were lucky to have her lead them. Far more fortunate than the wolves of Erenyx. He knew little about the other pack or its history, but from what he did know, it was not pleasant.

A warm lick to his muzzle awoke him from his slumber, accompanied by the sweet soft voice of the wolf he loved. A massive yawn escaped his jaws as he stretched his forelegs outwards and sat up, listening carefully to what she had to say. An adoring smile crept across his lips as she spoke. No matter how many times he heard her say it, hearing her tell him that she did indeed love him would always make his heart flutter and bring a smile to his face. It was time to meet the pack, and not only that, she wanted him to stand by her side once more as Alpha. Of course he would accept, and take on whatever role it was she desired him to. He was certainly intrigued to see the reaction of the pack to this sudden change, it would give him a good idea of who he would need to spend extra time proving himself too. These wolves knew nothing of him, not even his name. He did not expect their loyalty without proving his worth. But he was willing to work for it. "And I too adore thee. T'would bring me no greater pleasure than to stand by thee one more as Alpha." he said softly and nuzzled her gently. Rising to his feet, he followed her out of the den and into the centre of the pack clearing where he took a seat beside her. He closed his eyes and smiled, listening to the sweet song as she called to the pack, beckoning them forward. As she took her seat, he opened his eyes and gazed down at the tiny Alphess, his deep amber eyes completely entranced by her. "T'would seem we hath come full circle my dearest. Ne'er did I think an Alpha once, but now twice." he said with a light laugh. "Let the wolves of Helidos gather and rejoice in wondrous news."

The call woke her and the Elite responded immediately. Her Alphess required her presence in the clearing and Nnlya would only be too happy to oblige. She crawled from her painfully empty den standing outside the entrance to stretch. Her maw opened in a wide yawn, she shook out her fur, twisting her head from side to side. Yet another nightmare. It was the same one she'd been having for months, but that made it no less painful. Every time she saw his body beneath that mountain of rubble, every time she screamed his name and no reply came. Every time he didn't open his eyes. It killed her inside. Since his return, Drogo had been MIA, presumably in the healers den being properly attended to. It had been so long since she'd seen him, she wondered if their reunion was just a dream. A very vivid dream. Maybe she was going crazy. Maybe he really was dead. Would she never see him give her one of those rare smiles? Would their eyes never lock as fire found ice? She blinked away the thoughts. This wasn't the time. She padded to the clearing, apparently the first to arrive. She dipped her head to Quinn, "Good morning Alphess." Then to her companion. "Greetings Ser." She didn't know the male, but presumably there was an announcement to be made, so the time for introductions was later. Nnlya took her place seated before the Alphess and her friend, waiting for the others to arrive.

Rose's paws carried her forward from her den, she had been resting peacefully when she heard the alphess's call. Rose stopped gently as she quickly recognized the old alpha of Maple Woods. She smiled happily and moved a few feet from the alphess. She bowed her head in respect and then moved towards the clearing so she may see them clearly. "Hello dear Alphess Quinn, Fenris wasn't it?" She nodded gently to the he-wolf and then greeting the elite with a warm smile. She tucked her tail to around her body and sat very still as she listened to what they might have to say. She was gentle and calm, showing submission and yet being completely relaxed. She missed her old alpha, of Pine Summit, but she was glad to have finally met the old alphess of Maple Woods. She herself was sitting in a stance of ready to defend, she was willing to take on any wolf that dare to attack her alphess and she guessed, soon to be alpha. Her stance looked relaxed but she knew a good warrior could tell she was on guard. She had to be on full alert since she was the warrior of the pack. Her training from her mentor had taught her to always be alert. Her ears twisted slightly as she listened to the wind howl against the earth. Her amber eyes scanned the area and she breathed slowly. Her body shivered slightly with excitement. She was excited but containing it in and trying to look like a true warrior was difficult. She wagged her tail slightly before clutching it to her body as tight as possible. She was both pleased and ready for almost anything, perhaps the alphess was testing her wolves or it really was true love reunited once more. She was cautious and just ready to listen to what they had to say.

The onyx fae finished her border patrols and turned on her paws at the sound of a meeting vibrate off the forest's trees. She listened closely to the gathering, feeling the ground to detect whether or not she was fashionably late judging by the amount of wolves that had already shown up. Thankfully, she had come early to the party, having already dashed through the woods at growing speeds and passing each and every piece of obstacle like as if they were engraved in her very mind. At the edge of the clearing, Juno ducked low and kept a steady gaze as she worked into the light, more so towards the rest of the wolves and then some before finally lifting her head to see. Her paws silently made an entrance towards the front of the crowd, maneuvering over to see and stand at the back where she could not be seen. She did not acknowledge her leader's presence, but would once Azul arrived if he did. Elders were note required to come, to say the least, but she hoped he would to comfort her while she waited for Quinn to speak. However, her eyes could not be pried from the stranger standing close to the leader of theirs - who was this mysterious brute, and why did they seem so welcoming to one another?

The last time she had seen such a sight, it had been Quinn and Azul sharing a mutual conversation before announcing that he was becoming an Elder, and she, their new leader. With this, Juno's throat ran dry, as she wondered if this male too, could end up similarly becoming of the same relation to that topic. But this remained slightly indifferent in apposed to Azul's expression towards Quinn, as the female's eyes were not exposed of love, but admiration for, who is now, the Elder. Was this stranger a threat to their leadership? To say the least, the Beta sat at the edge of her seat and stared closely at the too for long amounts of time, looking away casually to recognize the fellow neighboring wolves that eventually filled the area and may or may not of greeted her in return. In many ways, she did not praise the female leader as most Beta's would. Psychologically, the fae did not find enough care behind it to even bother speaking with the grey wolf upon the matter; the only person that she would see fit for Alpha was the one and only - Azul, and that be it for her. Now, things were changing, and she knew not what to think of it other than bitter responses. This was not her home anymore. That home was destroyed when she, Alphess Quinn, had set foot into these lands.

Lily padded out from the trees, following rather closely behind Juno, allowing the older fae to be her guide. Her injured shoulder and paw protested her movements, but she ignored the pain. Upon her entrance into the clearing, the newly appointed Omega glanced around, taking stock of everything around her.

Juno, of course, was present. There were four other wolves that she did not recognize: three females and one male. It was pretty clear to Lily which female was the Alphess. She sat on her haunches, tail wrapped around her paws, a figure of quiet authority. The male stood near her; he must be her mate. The two other fae she was not sure about. One clearly had more authority than the other, but she was not aware of their ranks.

Lily padded farther into the clearing, feeling rather exposed. She sat down on her haunches, and her the pain in her shoulder eased slightly. She glanced around again. Was what this meeting about?

The soft ring of the female superior's tone played with Lithium's harks before they settled. "Oh my..." The brute pondered closely. Perhaps the call had come from another in trouble, or perhaps it would amount to be nothing more than a gathering of sorts. While his current objective was to find another wolf to greet, it seemed his work was being cut out for him. "Excellent." Lithium murred, feeling that now was an opportunity that he would be foolish to miss.

As his paws began to push him forward, his momentum soon reached a heavy-paced gallop. Somehow, he seemed to have gained some form of dexterity he never knew he had as he dodged trees and slipped through gaps almost as if they were cut and shaped to his form. Perhaps he had become excited. A feeling he was now fond of nonetheless. His nostrils flared and his golden eyes fixed on the skewed path ahead that would surely carry him to the cryptic call's source.

Thoughts of what the situation could possibly be began to race through his mind quicker than his paws on the ground. Feeling that soon he was due to scare himself, he shook them out and carried on, centering his focus on the steadily clearing path. Finally, as he reached the thick foliage's edge, a sharp and heavy sigh escaped his maw and a smile of relief split his jowls. He had found it.

After allowing his breath to return to him for a moment, Lithium steadily began to shift himself smoothly towards the small gathering, logically noting the wolves holding the highest position to be those the group had surrounded. While his mind was hesitant, his rigid, formal and tidy posture would not allow such a betrayal of emotion. "Greetings, Ma'am, sir." Lithium offered with a respectful dip of his maw. "Apologies for my late arrival, I am new to these lands." While Lithium's gestures had offered some form of respect, it would not mean much from him just yet. Lithium was not so easily trusting and respect would have to be gained from him first hand. He could not and would not be swayed by what others had told him of a wolf, for he would have to witness such things himself.

At the call of the meeting the sable male awoke from his short nap. He stretched out, his bones cracking and stood to shake out a cramp in his hind leg. Age was catching up with him and at almost six winters he was feeling it now. Mornings met him with arthritis and a more feeble attempt to rise. Nights left him colder than the warm fur previous let him and stiffer as well. Hunts were growing shorter and his eye sight was growing less keen.

Making his way into the clearing he saw his beloved whom he had had chosen to spend his days with. Walking to her he nudged her shoulder, his old flirtatious side coming out. He then dipped his head the Quin and the new male. From the looks of it it seemed like the male would be promoted, but to what? "Greetings Alphess and her friend, I am Beta Marrok" he said smiling. As much respect as he had for Azul it extended to Quin. Unlike his mate he viewed her as his new leader, such was how a Beta should act. If another Alpha came along he too would have his respect.

It hadn't been even several days since Lyon had joined this so-called Helidos before a pack meeting demanded his presence. As of late, the brute made it his goal to familiarize himself with his surroundings, so far having only learned the pack lands. The hunter's lack of knowledge on the surrounding territories failed to deter him however, before long the male would know every nook and cranny there was and would make it a point to understand his home's geology on a scale to match the Alphas'. That goal was best on hold at the moment.

Entering the coterie's headquarters, as requested, there was little exchanged between he and the Alphess before he took his seat amongst the others. The she-wolf he subconsciously situated himself near was accompanied by a copper-hued fellow who was indubitably her significant other. Admittedly, their relationship puzzled him and Lyon could not fully comprehend the need for companionship. While breeding was all-in-all a dire need in itself, why did many individuals feel love must always be the excuse to reproduce in the first place? Lyon figured it was a mental want and silently thanked God - if there was indeed such a supreme being - that he was capable of overcoming such trivialities.

Lyon directed his utmost attention to the matter at hand. Standing before all who entered, it didn't take a genius to figure out what may or may not come out of this sudden meeting. Though it was presumptuous, Lyon felt there was a fair amount of affection between the Alphess and the male at her side and even if his suspicions were not entirely right, he was sure the male in question would receive some form of promotion. That circumstance brought up an inquiry of his own, as a matter a fact, and Lyon reminded himself to seek out Quinn's attention immediately after news was delivered here. Soon, another thought occurred, that thought quickly passed on to the high-ranking female (Juno) not far off. "Is this male generally well-known?" If she confirmed, Lyon knew it wouldn't be a poor decision to also know the unknown Warrior; especially since he did not even know the brute's name.

Crystal was asleep in the entrance to her den, when the Alphess's howl woke her. Rising to her feet, she padded out into the warm sunshine and stretched. Crystal then headed off towards the pack clearing. Arriving at the clearing, Crystal could see a number of wolves already. "Greetings my Alphess and too you sir." Crystal said bowing to Alphess Quinn and the unknown wolf stood next to her. Slinking around the edge of the group, nodding at the two betas and Elite Nnlya, whom she also smiled at as she passed.

Crystal spotted a space next to Warrior Rose, with whom she had become friends with recently and curled up in it. Looking up from her lying down position.Turning to Rose, Crystal said "hey nice to see you again." before turning her gaze back to the Alphess. The caretaker wondered if the new wolf was what this was about. She had made more progess recently with her interactions with the pack, now adding Rose and Elite Eclipse alongside Elite Nnlya on her list of friends within the pack.

Though he had returned to Helidos, Drogo had yet to return to any such duties, even the ones of a warrior which he had been placed back as in his absence. He was not angered by this demotion, for he would have done the same where he in the Alpha's position. A missing Delta was a useless one, so why let him keep it. Never the less, he would work his way up to whatever position the new Alphess, Quinn as he recalled Nnlya telling him the day he had returned and he had stumbled upon her in Amor Glades. He smiled to himself in recollection of that day. He had not thought that he would ever see her again, but sure as the sun was to rise and fall every day, there she was. Since returning, he had spent all of his time with the healers tending to wounds that had not healed properly, and continued to cause him grief. Between the time he spent cooped away with the healers, and the time he spent off in solitude, retraining his body, he had seen so little of the wolf who had claimed his heart. But this was all about to change. He had been given a clean bill of health, and was ready to make his true re-entry into pack life.

Today was the day he had planned to seek out the new Alphess and ask her permission to take Nnlya as his mate, should she still wish it, but it would seem that would have to wait. Sensitive ears flickered at the sound of an unfamiliar howl. There was only one wolf whom it could belong to, the new Alphess, and at that, he trotted off towards the camp clearing where wolves had already begun to gather. Immediately, his dark amber eyes fell upon Nnlya's familiar face. It took a great deal of effort to pry his eyes from her, and glance at the other wolves around. Most he did not recognize, new members since his accident most undoubtedly, though among the strangers, he noted the Beta pair, Marrok and Juno, to whom he dipped his head respectfully as he walked past them to take a seat next to Nnlya. He nuzzled her shoulder gently and smiled but remained silent in wait for what the Alphess had gathered them for. He couldn't help but examine the larger brute that sat next to their tiny Alphess. He dwarfed her in size, but that was not an impossible feat given how petite she was.

A swift pivot was required to turn the brute and send him trotting quickly in the opposite direction upon hearing the call to summon all Helidos wolves, regardless of what duties they were doing or whatever status they were, to gather at the pack clearing. So used to Azul's voice in this type of situation was Eclipse that he did not realize the importance of the howl at first until he had mulled over that he was not familiar with the feminine chords that rang out over the territory and began to mentally narrow down which fae's sound it could be that called unto the pack. It only took a bit of logic to identify that it would be a figure of authority more than likely, and the only female that he knew, or rather did not know well enough, it could be in that case, with the fact taken into account of him not knowing the identity of the wolf behind the howl, was the Alphess. He could not recall her ever demonstrating her voice in such a way during her reign thus far, which explained his lacking ability to recognize Alphess Quinn's song right way. Anyhow, to make up for lost time he moved at double speed, almost sprinting to the site of the rendezvous.

When he arrived it was apparent that he was not early, yet Quinn was sat quietly and obviously had not started any anouncement or speach yet so he was not exactly late either. As he stood there on the outer edge briefly to scan around for where to situate himself, his eyes rolled over every wolf in the vicinity. The Beta pair were present, as were several unknown to him. Eclipse also noted that Rose and Crystal were together and his first instinct was to join them. However he spotted the fae whom he treated as his sister, his equal in rank, Elite Nnlya. A small smile graced his maw and he lifted a paw as he went to approach her, happy to see her after not having done so in a while. But then... who was that? A colorful brute came from the other side and neared her, gently nuzzling her shoulder. Eclipse stopped and planted his paw firmly again, eyes narrowing and smile soon fading. He was unaware of who the male was other than a packmate, and he was naturally protective of Nnlya who was very dear to him. Though he decided not to interfere here and instead turned, going with his original plan to sit with two of his friends, the white warrior and the gentle caretaker, though his eyes stayed focused on his adopted sibling and the brute beside her throughout the entire journey to reach Rose's side, his head even twisting around to an uncomfortable degree to accommodate this. A moment of staring later he blinked finally and switched attentions to the two near to him, nodding his head to them. "Greetings Crystal, Miss Rose" The mahogany wolf offered a glimpse of a smile though his mind was clearly preoccupied with what he had just seen. Dismissing it for now, he dropped his rear to the ground and waited to hear the explanation for this meeting while he concentrated on Alphess Quinn, who now he could see also appeared to have the company of a male unacquainted to himself. Furrowing his furred brow marginally, he glanced between the dog wolf and the petite she-wolf placed before the pack. He had a lot to learn about relationships within his pack, it seemed.

Kokoro was out just exploring the territories, and now he had decided to go back. As he entered the camp he noticed a meeting going on. He carefully made his way to the front and saw the alphess standing with a male, I wonder what this is about? Maybe we will have a new alpha male. He smiled and dipped his head, he had never met the male before so he figured he better introduce himself. "Hello sir, I am Kokoro a healer here, hello alphess." he nodded to each of them then stepped back and sat down waiting for the alphess to begin the meeting. He was happy to be in this wonderful pack and silently was going over what they needed for healing supplies. But another thought crept into his mind, it was of the new male. He wondered what this meeting would be about and what role this male played, he also hoped he could become friends with him. He didn't know many wolves in the pack, but the ones he did know were all very kind and all had wonderful personalities.

His thoughts broke as he listened to the Alphess for the beginning of the meeting. Whatever she had to say, he was going to listen. It was his duty to care for the pack, and he must know what is going on around the pack, in order to know of injuries, who to help, and where to be at a specific time. So he would listen to Alphess Quinn and greet this wolf with the wag of a tail.

So much had changed within the pack. But most of it had been Azul's fault. Since the day Fel killed his own daughter before him, Azul was not the same. He shied away from the rest of the pack. Most of the time he could be found within the neutral lands, looking for any sign of the bitch who took his pup's life. The onyx colored fae must be somewhere around here, unless she made her way to Erenyx to hide from her attacker. Azul was not done with her. Quinn had been too kind, only allowing the female to flee from their lands. How could the once Guardian of the original Alpha betray him in such a way? It was maddening, and it was because of this reason that Azul did not come home often. His pelt was ragged and filthy, covered in browns and greys from wandering so long. No longer was his pelt completely white like the fresh fallen snow. His golden orbs seemed almost dull and lifeless, even though their color was true and bold. It was the spirit within him, which forced the wolf to act in such a melancholy fashion. His mate was ill, never sure he was going to see her at her very best again. All their young were dead and gone. His reasons to breathe and live were fading. His solitude was growing, less and less he seemed to need the pack. In the neutral lands, his large frame could be seen hunting and killing, blood stained across his white chest, down his forelegs and covered his paws. The once great leader heard the call of the Alphess and knew it was time to come back home. He followed his way to the dens, the clearing and the others. Everyone around them seemed to be excited for what the Alphess would have to say and a mate beside her. He scowled as he stared to the pair. How could they be so happy when others in the pack were in such pain and turmoil? But he kept his thoughts inward, not muttering a single syllable to anyone around him. For the first time, the white wolf stayed in the shadows, seated on his hind legs. His eyes watched, looking over everyone and everything. For once, he was actually starting to feel like an Elder.

Walking about the lands, Odin was smart to keep to himself. There was no real reason to do so, but with Ember having found a new toy thing to love, what was the point? Did Odin really know what love was? No, the Mexican wolf had not the slightest idea, but he did know what it felt like to care for another being. He had not seen Ember since she had decided to go from Warrior to Healer, and though he did not agree with it, he never voiced his opinion. All he had to think about was the changing of the life around him. The pack was changing almost every day it seemed. Rumors of the treasonous acts spread like wildfire among the members. Odin did not care for it much. Instead of worrying over such things, he played in the fields, dug holes, and even chased down the furry rabbits. The summer had been gracious to him and his coat, not too hot and not too humid. But on the day the Alphess called, Odin realized he had not been paying much attention at all and entered the clearing, stumbling into the Beta female, "Oh so sorry Beta Juno.." he said as he made his way to sit close to the couple before them. Here he would sit, listen, and wait for the words to come from their lips.

Fenris watched in silence as the wolves of Helidos gathered. He examined each face carefully. So many faces and names to learn, and so many to prove himself too. The daunting task that would be to prove his worth to these wolves, did not sway him. He would not blindly follow a wolf whom he knew nothing about, or had even seen before. The wolves that sat before him had not joined this pack knowingly under his rule. They had either joined to follow Azul, or stayed when Quinn was handed the reins. He would not hold it against any who opposed this, though he hoped that they would give him a chance to show them he could be the Alpha they hoped for. He gave a silent nod of acknowledgement to those who spoke, though most only addressed Quinn, as could be expected. When what he presumed to be most of the pack had gathered, he gave one last smile to Quinn before turning his full attention to those before him.

Deep amber eyes scanned their faces again as he rose from his seated position, and took a step towards the pack, his body relaxed, but attentive. "Good morrow wolves of Helidos. Tis a great pleasure to meet thee. Though I am certain many questions have yet to be voiced, prithee let me speak, and I shalt answer what questions I may." he said allowing his ancient tongue to ring clearly so that all may hear him. "I, am Fenris, reigning from the lands once known as Maple Woods. T'was here, that alongside Quinn, I was Alpha to the wolves whom didst call it home. I shalt not bore thee with the tale as to how our homeland was lost, but after far to many moons away from my beloved, I hath finally found her. Quinn hath requested that I once more find mine place beside her as Alpha, and I hath accepted." he paused and allowed the wolves to digest this information for a moment, and gauge their varied reactions. He could see that not all were as pleased with the news as others.

"Let it be known that I expect no blind faith, or loyalty from thee. T'would be foolish, nay, arrogant of me to think mineself worthy of such loyalty, prithee givith me time to earn it, and I shalt prove to each and every soul that thine trust and loyalty is not misplaced with me." he looked over their faces once more and took a step back to allow himself to stand next to Quinn once more. In doing so he had opened to floor to whatever the pack had to say.

Others arrived soon enough. Rose was the next to greet the Alphess and take her place. Nnlya offered her a kind smile as she passed by. There were a few new arrivals she didn't know, to those she gave a quick nod in acknowledgement of their presence. Marrok also arrived. She had hardly spoken to him for months, but she still held the Beta Male in high regard after accepting her at the borders over a year ago. How quickly things could change in a year, she thought. She had gone from a young fae scrounging for meals and dancing on borderlines to joining a pack and rising through its ranks, gaining authority and respect as well as a few friends. But she didn't let her mind wander too far. With Fel gone, it went to the Elite to ensure the safety of her Alphess. Every face her eyes found she would study and learn, especially the new ones. They had yet to prove their loyalty in her eyes, so they would be under her watch for now. The Caretaker Crystal offered the Elite a polite nod, which was responded with a friendly smile. And then his scent found her. Drogo, the ever elusive Warrior had finally emerged from his den to return to the pack. To her. Her tail thumped against the ground in delight as he came near, heart thrumming when he nuzzled her shoulder, an affection which she gladly returned with a nuzzle of her own. So wrapped in the moment, it was that she missed seeing her adoptive brother, Eclipse, enter the clearing. She was unaware of his burning gaze on herself and her Drogo.

Few others arrived after that and finally the Alphess' friend stepped forth. A new Alpha, was her first thought. It meant double the number of wolves to protect. So she'd have to double her efforts. It made things a little easier that there had been no litters this season, so she had no pups to train. But she still had training duties. If any were to request training in the arts of war, it was her they would turn to. Eclipse was certainly capable of the job, but she was in some circumstances a bit of a perfectionist. Even if Eclipse was the requested teacher, she would stop by to ensure the student learnt all they could. But all this was for another moment. She nudged Drogo's shoulder. "We should pay our respects." The Elite rose from her seated position and walked the few paces to stand before the new Alpha, angled so that she still had some view of the wolves gathered behind her. She dipped her head respectfully. "It seems I did not offer you a greeting befitting your status earlier. I am Nnlya, ser, the Elite as appointed under our Alphess Quinn. Your being her mate extends the title of Alpha to you and I would like to offer you my continued services as Elite and protector of the Alpha-pair." She paused a moment, allowing his response. "Though I do not know your name, ser, I would still like to be the first of us to welcome you into our ranks. I hope you will care for this pack and love them as I do, and as our dear Quinn appears to." Her gaze turned momentarily to the Alphess. "I would also like to extend you my congratulations, Quinn. I am glad to see you and your mate happily reunited. I wish you both every happiness." She dipped her head once more and took a step back, her words at an end for the moment.

Rose sat very still, her eyes lay upon Eclipse as he kept a gaze on the other Elite and the Warrior that sat beside her. She felt like something strange was going on with the Elite she knew pretty well. As he finally sat down and greeted her and Crystal, she narrowed her eyes slightly before nodding her head. "Mister Eclipse and my dear friend Crystal." She turned and greeted Crystal with a quick nudge and a warm smile upon her maw. She turned slightly to Eclipse and tilted her head with curiosity. Her mind and gaze turned away from the brute and towards the he-wolf that was near Alphess Quinn as he spoke. Her ears relaxed and her tail curled around her body and she breathed happily as she realized she had been right, it was the Alpha of the old Maple Woods. She had met him once and that was it, but she was pleased to hear that he was to be alpha once more. Her tail wagged and she smiled happily, waiting and watching as the female Elite spoke her words to the alpha. She was unsure if she was allowed to speak, so she looked upon Eclipse in a question. She turned slightly back to the Alpha's and then she stood very slowly and in a respectful way. She bowed her head to them and she spoke her kind and loving words to them. "Congratulations my dearest Alphess and my new Alpha. Love is a wondrous thing and I am pleased to see you have found it in one another again. I am your faithful servant and Warrior." Her voice trailed off and she gave a warm smile before taking a few steps backwards and settling down near Eclipse and Crystal once more. She set her amber gaze to Eclipse, smiling happily before looking towards the alpha's with such joy and cheerfulness.

The healer has arrived later than he thought he would, nearly ashamed at the lapse of time, he strolled in just as the male began to speak. Many questions boggled his mind but for now he stood in the back and listen. The lead healer nodded in respect and smiled gentle to the male from a far and calmly gazed upon the Alphess. In Jackles mind he figured any decision Quinn would make would be best for the pack and he left it at that. There would come another time suitable for the lead healer to introduce himself, so for now he let others speak or their nature and ranks to the new Alpha. It seemed that Helidos was coming full circle once more since the resignation of the prior ruler Azul. Jackle found his rear upon the floor and he looked up all the wolves of Helidos. Finding comfort in knowing he had the most important job, taking care of all the souls before him. In Jackles eyes, without him and the other healers there wouldnt be much of a pack. The brutes heart swelled with pride, indeed it was a glorious day. New faces also marked the group and his tail brushes gentle upon the earth. There was much to come and the bringing forth of a King was the first of a series of events. Jackle waited to hear the others.

Drogo listened carefully as the male who sat beside their Alphess spoke. Drogo could not help but become curious about the males rather odd way of speaking. It seemed silly to him. He imagined it would be rather difficult to say anything of great length in such a way, but he would not voice these opinions, especially as this male, Fenris as he had introduced himself, was to be their new Alpha. He appreciated the fact that this Fenris character did not seem to expect their loyalty simply because he was now Alpha. He would certainly have to earn Drogo's trust and prove himself worthy to call himself the Alpha of Helidos, but he would respect Quinn's choice and at least give him a chance.

Feeling Nnlya's nose against his shoulder, he gave a silent nod and rose to his feet, following her up to stand before the Alpha pair. He let her speak first, as she was the Elite and he a simple warrior. When she had said her part, he bowed before the Alpha's "My congratulations to you sir on your new rank. I am Drogo, a warrior of Helidos, and I look forward to serving under you and your dearest Quinn." he said, keeping it short and sweet as there were many others who surely wished to congratulate them as well.

Her entrance was a bit louder than she had honestly liked. The brush was too loud as she passed through it to stand on the outskirts of the gathering. It was quite crowded at the front and she saw this with much relief; the masses was not where she felt she belonged anyways. She wanted to stand back and observe the others quietly. They were her patients, all of them. Ember knew that she’d learn to mend every broken bone or soothe any illness they had. It was a simple part of her rank, but she couldn’t help watching them all in her own adoring way. As she listened to Quinn her ears swiveled to focus on the male, already suspecting what she was going to hear. She heard it within the coming moments, but the way the Alphess interacted with him had been clear enough. The healer’s heart swelled with happiness and she wanted nothing more but to gush over the new pair, yet she remained where she was. Ember shook her head and called herself a silly fae. But, then again, wasn’t there a reason to gush? They were coming together in the partnership of love and it wouldn’t be long before the padding of little paws were around the corner. Oh, pups. She adored the little ones so much with their silly ways. No doubt the Alphess would be a wonderful mother and the new Alpha a father to match. Oh, she sounded like an elder wolf already. Ember looked to the ground in embarrassment of herself, though not many would notice.

The murmurs of acceptance moved throughout the pack and she smiled at such peace. Ember curled her tail around her paws and nodded in agreement with the others. She was happy Quinn had found someone. Ember would have parted her lips to speak herself but she was aware they would never had heard her. The fae’s pale, dove-like eyes moved about the others as she relaxed in her place.

She had arrived just in time to hear their newest sovereign speak. He spoke of his past relationship with Alphess Quinn, to which he was awarded the she-devil’s mild interest. It seemed that he, too, fared from the lands of Haven’s Grove. It was unnatural how many of them, of those meant to be buried away in a past life of hers, left behind and discarded, had followed her into her new kingdom. She hadn’t wished to relive any of the memories that she had left behind there. However, it seemed, the spark that was Haven’s Grove - what it had ignited inside of her, being nothing more beautiful than a poorly disguised dislike for the Erenyx Alpha male - was not finished with her yet. It was pitiful, at best, but she wouldn’t pointlessly argue with whatever it was that fate had in store for their kind, bringing them all back together once again.

What laced itself across her white muzzle was nothing more complex than a tiny sneer, outwardly happy that the couple was reunited, but inwardly repulsed by the love that was so clearly shared between them - so utterly blinding. She had never cared for the basic bonds, be it friendship or something more, that so many of the other wolves seemed to long for. She was perfectly content in her independence. Nobody else was needed to guide her, to caress her, aiding her through the hardships of living in this dark, evil world. She was her own lifeline. She supposed that, as of late, there would be some changes happening for her: she had, after all, made a deal with a fellow demon, letting him into her life, into her personal ideals, if only slightly. It’d be pathetic to pretend that she didn’t see some worth inside of him. He would make himself out to be a powerful ally, of this she was certain. As soon as she had used up every last drop of worth inside of him, however, she would throw him away like he had been absolutely nothing to her. It was not her fault if, somewhere in the midst of it all, he found himself getting attached and mistaking their deal for being anything more than strictly professional. She would, of course, make it easy for him along the way to make such an assumption. She rather wanted him to fall for her, if only a little. It was always so much more fun when her counterpart’s feelings became a playing card.

If it helped soothe the blow, she would feign for a while that she was falling, too.

She didn’t offer to the united pair any words of comfort, for she was indifferent to the idea of an Alpha male working alongside her Alpha female. Matters of Helidos were second, in her mind, to matters that involved the slaughter of Teren. She sooner considered this a temporary home, a residence that provided shelter and nothing more, until she achieved what it was that she sought. After all, living among the land of Rogues and Exiles wouldn’t due, for the place was crawling with all kinds of insane. Everyone thought them oh so threatening.

She would have to kill every last one of them to get some peace and quiet, and that would prove most tiresome. Bronze eyes blinked unresponsively, focused upon Fenris’ features, wondering if, should he see her among the crowd, he would recognize her face. Likely not, for she couldn’t recall acquainting herself with him throughout their time in Haven’s Grove, though perhaps, at some point, Alphess Quinn would feel inclined to fill him in on all of the details. They, after all, had such a special bond, what with their joint pasts - quite comical that after all of this time, even still, she didn’t see what lay beneath her angelic mask.

The male standing before the pack seemed to speak formally, confidently and with a positive portrayal of his intentions. Lithium liked him already. He seemed capable and willing, two things the dark male looked for in a leader. His soft golden hues dimmed slightly as his jowls hinted at a smile, the black-pelted brute's mind mulling over the given speech carefully and analysing it in as much detail as he had captured. It would seem that the Alpha female's name was Quinn and the new Alpha male's name, Fenris. Bold names, indeed. And fitting. Lithium observed the dominant pair quietly, watching for the love and chemistry exerted both between them and towards the pack. Sincerity in the male's words was important and he would be little short of unsatisfied should the new male's promise prove to be hollow. He had also mentioned that he had no expectations of immediate allegiance. Although this seemed somewhat lenient to Lithium, at the same time it betrayed a level of sensibility and offered trust. After all, Lithium had never been the type to place his own trust so quickly, nor easily.

Eventually, he drew himself back into the real world and had noticed all of the others now crowding the area. Strangely, without knowing anyone, something seemed rather like home to him. Maybe when all of this was done, he could approach a select few and make acquaintances - a good start if he wanted to find himself accepted. An ally to Lithium was like an addition to his soul and he would do and give anything for them; even himself.
With a keen eye, he looked around the crowd, glancing at every face he could see and picked out the most approachable ones. The others may have to wait as approaching those whom perhaps cannot bear may cause a problem. They would be more likely to be comfortable around him if other members of their kin were fond of him.

Lily felt distinctly uncomfortable being surrounded by so many unfamiliar wolves. With every new wolf that crowded into the clearing, her anxiety grew. By the time the male at the front spoke, her belly was brushing the ground, and her ears were pinned back against her head.

Lily listened as the brute spoke, saying that he did not expect loyalty from any members of the pack just because he was now Alpha. The fae definitely would not give this male her complete loyalty until she knew him better, nor for the Alphess. She had just joined this pack; she did not know either of them. She would wait, then make her decision. Her experience with Titan had made her more wary.

Regardless of her reluctance to trust them, Lily knew that she should congratulate the male on his promotion, and her Alphess on being reunited with her mate. She pushed herself up, and slowly approached them. She stopped in front of the pair, and dipped her head respectfully. "Greetings, my new Alphess. My name is Lily, and I was accepted into the pack by your Beta, Juno, just before this meeting was called." Then Lily spoke to the brute. "I also wanted to congratulate you on your promotion, sir." She then addressed the couple as a whole. "I am happy that you have been reunited with each other. I look forward to getting to know the both of you better." Lily dipped her head once more, then moved away.

The multicolored healer had finally arrived to the scene- tongue hanging from his jaws as he breathed heavily and a look of guilt plain on his features. Despite orders given to stay near the healer's den as he was still recovering from the attack of the two Erenyx wolves, Twelve had found himself far from the heavily populated areas and instead in a remote corner of the territory. He had made sure to keep within the borders though and a shiver would run up his spine at the memories of his recent fight and just how lucky he had been to get away alive, and how close he'd been on failing to do so. He would scan the area quickly with deep amber orbs and feel a flash of homesickness at the thought of the pack he had once belonged to. Despite his time within Helidos he had not been able to bring himself to socialize with the ones who dwelt inside its borders and right now he just found himself gazing at a sea of strangers.

After a few awkward moments- Twelve found the male who had accepted him into the pack in the first place sitting a little while off with two females and after a few moments of hesitation he padded over to them. Reaching the trio he would offer a small smile- dipping his head respectfully "Hope you don't mind if I sit here?" he questioned- glancing at the male, Eclipse as he did so and hoping that the Elite remembered accepting him as he could do with someone who at least knew he existed in this pack. Since he had joined the wounds he had then had now turned to old scars- still visible yet no longer harmful but just memories. However there was also new wounds atop the others from his recent fight with the Erenyx apprentices and it had been them slowing him down as well as the distance he'd had to travel to get here that had made him late. His attention would be taken by a male he did not recognize as it spoke addressing the crowd before him. The alphess he did recognize however and he fidgeted with anticipation at what was to be announced.

Twelve kept silence during the male's speech and would then smile as he finished. Flicking his tail back and forth across the lush grass- Twelve would approach the two when it was his turn and dip his head respectfully before speaking. "Greetings sir, I am Twelve. A healer of this pack and glad to be serving you and Quinn. Congratulations on the new rank and I hope you enjoy your time here." He would finish with a polite dip of the head in first the new alpha and then Quinn's direction before retreating and finding himself near Eclipse and the two females once again. Turning his head in Eclipse's direction he would give a small embarrassed smile before speaking quickly "I do not know if you remember me but you accepted me during the Winter. I was quite battered up if that helps." He would chuckle quietly before turning to address the two females "Greetings to both of you as well, my name is Twelve. I am a healer here.". Eventually he would be forced to sit as his muscles would ache from the long walk here and the injuries scattered about his body. He would fall silent worried he had spoken too much and a sigh would leave him, settling into this pack was still proving to be on the difficult side.
