| Much to her dismay, the sun was starting to rise over the mountains, casting down a bright ray which covered the entrance to her den. Snarling to herself, she shied away from the light and nestled herself deep into her den. The fae closed her eyes and tried her hardest to keep sleeping beneath the safety of her dwelling. But in the time that she had finally been able to snooze, she heard the call of her alpha. A snarl escaped from her lips, low enough for only her and any passerby’s to hear. The large wolf stretched her paws forward, digging them into the dirt which marked the exit into the world. The few furs she had around her den looked in pristine condition. Their beauty reminded her of Raymond, as they had all been gifts from him. Some were small, while others rather large. She did not care what they were or how many there were, Naomi enjoyed them. She moved her form from the den and wandered into the clearing. Apparently the “oh so wonderful” alpha had given some kind of directions and was already on his way out of the pack clearing. She had decided to follow the other wolves and roam into the lands known as Satan’s Edge. Two furred ears rested atop her dome, and peering eyes stared to the crowd before her. With a slight tilt of her head, she watched the young wolves move forward. They had grown so quickly and seemed like just yesterday they were crying like the little pups that they were. She recalled when they could barely open their eyes and were unable to even walk. It was a cute, yet annoying stage. The thought of this made Naomi question if she even wanted to have young of her own. The Lead Warrior looked about the gathering, and immediately her green eyes caught the sight of Raymond. A small smirk danced across her maw and her emerald gaze stuck to him like a mosquito trapped in sap. She sauntered over to him quietly, careful not to disturb their king or the little ones before him. As she crossed behind Raymond, she brushed against him playfully. Perhaps she had been wrong to turn him down instantly? Perhaps she really did need more time? Whatever it was, she was so unsure of herself and when she would want her life to change, but today, she would allow him the simple affections of their coats touching one another. Sitting beside him now, she leaned into his side slightly and stared up at the display before her. Was the alpha finally going to acknowledge that they were members of the pack now? Would they already be granted actual ranks before their second year? |

| One by one the wolves had followed him, into the shroud of fog. Their eyes looked upon him and the pups within the circle. Some seemed to be so curious, while others barely cared. But Teren did not care for these issues, these stupid opinions. He had set forth the wolves for a certain task, one that would force change within their pack. Teren was not a wolf to mess around with. In fact, he hated when wolves did not agree with him, or his beliefs. The large male stood tall before the others. His green gaze looked down upon the youngest wolves in the bunch. All the young wolves seemed anxious, curious for what was going to happen. ”Many years ago…” he spoke with a deep and mellow voice. ”I became the leader of a pack. It was a pack that my father had controlled. I killed him and took it for my own. The way he had ran his pack was much like the Alpha before me. He was weak, worthless, and knew not the ways to run something so grand. As part of my changes within the pack, I forced all the young to fight one another. In the past, it had only been one pup to surpass all the others, only one was allowed to live. After consideration with Beta Irrationality, I have decided that one pup from each litter will be allowed to survive. This is merely because we need the numbers right now for a reason I am not at liberty to share with you at this time. So young wolf pups, you will be granted permission to kill your siblings or friends, possibly even enemies, however you see it. If you can make me proud, then you may just find yourself in ranks much higher than those of your peers. Make it as bloody and carnage filled as possible. The more you kill, the higher you will become in this pack. If any of you choose not to fight, then I shall have to kill you myself. Begin!” The wolf looked to the pack, watching the parents’ reactions. Would any revolt? That question would always loom in his mind, but he would never be truly sure until it actually happened. Other wolves can still post if they want, but I would like to get the pup fights summed up and over with within the next few days. I am sure many of you just want to get it completed for the Activity Check. Pups have no posting order, so please feel free to attack and kill the following wolves right off the bat: Willow, Renier, and Icarus. If you have any questions, please PM me. I am going to Afghanistan today, so I may not be able to reply right away. |

| When everything had come to rest and be silent, the Alpha spoke to his pack. As he started to go on about his past life, Aspen tuned him out. He did not care about the old wolf’s past. What was important was the now. The male himself had been larger than the other wolves, and he took note of this as he watched the ones around him. He remembered the day he spent time with all of them, hunting for rabbits and never really getting the praise he rightfully deserved. This angered him, but as the Alpha spoke of the task they had before him. He could not rightfully kill a member of his family, but a member of the opposing family? Why the hell not? The male looked to the other males. He analyzed each of them. In order to make sure he would be safe, he decided he would go after the strongest of the bunch. Or whom he believed to be the strongest. As the call was made for them to begin, Aspen lunged his body towards Icarus. His teeth made contact, though they did not get the best hold on him. Aspen wondered if the other wolves would start attacking him, or even any others in the circle. He hoped that by killing a wolf that Magnus had praised before, that he too would be getting some much needed praise in. The young male used his weight to force the other to the ground. While there, the two of them had a scuffle. Teeth and paws moved rapidly, trying to secure their hold on one another. Snarls and growls escaped through clenched teeth, tufts of fur and flesh. The young brute shook his head furiously, trying his hardest to beat his opponent. Taking several bites to his legs, face, and chest – he could feel the blood beginning to run down his form. His white coat was turning pink from the blood stains. But finally he was the victor. He stood tall over the body of his opponent, smiling to the crowd as he looked to his father for approval. He had never thought to look at the other wolves around him, and he had no choice if a wolf was planning to attack him. His rear was left wide open with zero traces of defense in sight. ____________________________________ Attack: Killed Icarus Defense: None Injuries: cuts and scratches all over his body. | His eyes grew cloudy, painted and marbled with oceanic blues and waves of shadows darkening it's seas. One could assume they saw storms in his orbs if they looked rather closely, but they'd be smarter to not move an inch into his personal aura alone. Tid bits of information wafted his mind, but none which held the value and strength to keep anchored in the necessities of life lessons. He mustered an unamused yawn, silent so that the others were hard of hearing and so that not even himself could pleasure his ears wit a whistled yowl slithering passed his teeth. Towards the center of the conference, Striker found some joy in the thought of death, curious to where such feelings resided and where they'd been all along within him. He looked to his brothers, leaning slight back on his forelegs that were hunched down upon the ground, noticing their whereabouts had gone unnoticed since they were one of the few to arrive the latest. How pathetic of them, he'd mumble amongst his thoughts, his claws slowly retracting from their sockets to graze the ground beneath him as a possible floor to keep himself somewhat still. When the circle had neared the end of the cruel brute's requests, Striker had already reached to his paws as a head start, his body chilled with a fresh registered amount of adrenaline to prepare him for the race. His eyes had already found its first victim, choosing that of the most vulnerable that had somehow captured his brother's heart. The apprentice saw something fragile and too grossly thin to pay the expense of in this pack - she was the least of their numbers, her life would be the most uncared for if she were taken out now. After all, might as well start from the bottom if it's a battle, a pack was only as strong as its weakest number. How dare she consider them so lowly with her pathetic efforts, his mind hissed.
Without any hesitation, the apprentice was on the move at the moment of acceptance, tearing through the small crowd of pups with his sapphire eyes trained on Willow. She appeared like a white daisy, sticking out like a sore thumb amongst the mixed colored and few dark wolves around them. "Prepare to die, runt." As he leaped, the air divided evenly, aiding him a path straight in her field of view, his large paws outstretched and prepared to land roughly upon her small figure. If she would try to run, he'd attempt to outrun her, but seeing as she wasn't very strong nor coordinated as he, her chances of survival beneath his intentions were far from existence. His weight plummeted down upon her in seconds, trapping her instantly with a death-grip on her neck, consisting of both his jaws and feet planted on her windpipe. The grip tightened at the contact of her efforts, her squeals hurting his eardrums and her claws thrashing helplessly into his face and upper body beneath him. All of is body strength and weight pressed firmly down on her now, lying soully on her lack of air to keep her from fighting him. Striker could've even sworn that she went for his ear, but her attempts ceased slowly as he took the wind out of her, he allowed a silent death to wave upon her corpse before tearing into her throat. It was unnecessary for him to do this, but he liked to put on a show for himself, and blood was always a wonderful accessory for his coat. However, as he looked up to the sight of his eldest brother's corpse beneath a larger pup, his pupils dilated with rage. That was to be his job. But as he clearly identified the other by its form and color, Striker made a grim smile to the memory of how he'd claimed this one an enemy, to whom he'd avenge Aleu for.
"You son of a bitch.."
His voice was neutral, though by the expression on his bloodied face, one could assume he was related to the Wicked one. Samael had thought much upon appearance, how to appear intimidating, perhaps even a major threat despite the age to someone similar to him. The ashen wolf made no clear indications as to what he'd do, but he stalked quietly towards the other from behind until furthermore being noticed. Oh, how he couldn't wait for that, which broke his patience level as he got even closer to Aspen's flank. Before another minute passed of making an attack on the male, Striker ran forwards and attempted to ram the male with full force, using most of the momentum to knock the other from his shoulder, followed by a large amount of mass he had earned during his private training lessons with the heir. This would disrupt the male's inner peace, to what he seemed to of been doing in order to get a reaction from someone in the crowd. He had no care in the world for such pride, he only had the care to steal it for his own use and bury it where it stood for this male's life. If Aspen had fallen or perhaps tripped trying to find his footing, Striker would stay clear of any attacks, but if not, he'd back up quickly at moments notice. The work was beginning to very much pay off in his favor. But boy was he going to regret his next words. "You know.. I ran into that little bitch you failed to kill around two weeks ago. Oh.. what was her name..."" His eyes pretended to care in going elsewhere for a quick second before falling back on him, "Aleu was it? Hmm.. such a shame. At least I had the courage to kill her for you. Without an Alpha's order." He sincerely hoped Samael knew he was lying to get emotion out of his opponent, it was an easy tactic to see one's weakness, he learned. Striker's blue eyes glared down at the mutt and he made a noise of distaste, lip curled for dramatic fashion, "Pathetic piece of shit.. no wonder your father praised my own blood before flicking his gaze to your lowly ass." The apprentice laughed and spat at the male.

| Before Aspen could get the affirmation he was looking for, he felt a blunt force to his shoulder. Snarling he jerked his head back, but it was too late. His form had toppled to the ground. Working his paws quickly against the ground, he was up once more. He was shocked with his speed for his size made it very hard for the male to do such things. Growls directed their noise into the ears of the wolf named Striker. He had hated this little turd since he first laid his eyes on him. He had wanted to try and be “friends”, but Aspen had no time for such bullshit. He needed to train for his life to be better, he had to train for this. Although he never knew he was going to be doing this particular task. Instead, he shook the thoughts from his mind, just in time to hear the words of the brat before him. He spoke of the time Aleu and Aspen had met since she deserted their pack. A snarl escaped through his lips and his eyes narrowed. Why on earth would the fae tell Striker of such things before being killed by him? Erenyx was entirely the enemy to her. Foolish fae. He had saved her life, not wishing to harm her truly, for some snot-nosed brat to come along and kill her. The wolves all seemed to be interested in the blood which had already been shed. The brute growled louder than the ashen male spoke. ”Enough! The only reason I did not kill the bitch was because she had kicked dirt into my eyes and slid down the face of the mountain before I had the chance to react to her and her treachery. She was lucky she got away from me. I bet you gave her a quick and painless death, if she really even is dead. You could be lying… I know these tricks, son of the Healer whore.” Before anymore words would come out of his mouth, Aspen snarled and bared his teeth. In an attempt to move the fight a little towards his own win, he lunged towards Striker. The two wolves collided from the weight and sent them both between wolves, closer to the edge of the cliff. Both had landed on the ground, but neither were ready to give up on the fight. Aspen circled around his “prey”, eyes stuck on the wolf before him as his tail hung in the air. In this situation he knew he was going to come out on top. His pride, his training, and his sheer ability would not allow him to falter. He was going to kick some major tail, force this little brat off the cliff and turn back to finish off the rest of his competition. As he had gotten a taste for the blood of the first son, Aspen grew crazed with a frenzy for pain and anguish on the wolf before him. ”I hope you are prepared to die Striker. Not that I really care if you kissed your mommy goodbye, but more that you are ready to part this forest and greet the bastard Alpha on the other side.” With a final huff of his breath, he allowed a bark to ripple from his throat and fill the area with the sound. His four paws pressed hard to the rock floor and launched himself once more towards the wolf with his back to the cliff. No other wolf would be dumb enough to attack when they were both so close to the edge now. If Magnus would not approve of his efforts, then he hoped the Alpha himself would award him a worthy rank and possibly even show him he was proud of the young wolf. No wolf really mattered more than their worthy leader. Aspen could see himself in such a position, resting above the other wolves in the pack, directing and commanding them to do as he pleased. Deep in his thoughts, he was unaware of the events that were to unfold before his very eyes. ____________________________________ Attack: Pushes Striker towards the cliff Defense: None once again Injuries: Same injuries from before - bleeding is a little more from the adrenaline |

The scene was so comical, to each drop of blood spilled across the damned ground to the stench of rage filling the air, it all raised humor to him, in more ways than one. As he neared slowly closer to the arrogant male, he couldn't help but laugh at his own words, having been able to get the reaction he wanted, to what satisfied him greatly, "Excuses.. excuses." He would say, he would bellow for all to hear, perhaps training their own leader's attention and some from the crowd to key in on their conversation before driving the one to death. Striker's rage-filled eyes made a murderous statement as they stared into the other's deliberately irritating soul. "Your entire existence is a sorry excuse!" His fight was entirely fueled with the idea of murder and vengeance. Not a single living organism, or even nature's voice could halt the beast's intentions of slaughtering this male piece by piece and serving it on a platter to the rogues that manifested in the barren lands. Though he shared no strong bonds with his mother, the insult was more to what his patience could bare to hear. It was his last straw, that one button he thought no one would have the nerve to press within him that'd cause him to go over the edge - a new found weakness, one he wasn't ready to keep hearing. "The only whore here I see is your attention seeking ass with your oh-so-pathetic daddy issues. I'm going to put an end to that, once and for all.. Just like your sister." His lips curled back to reveal his bloodied teeth, stained with the sibling of his opponent's blood by selection. The male's were drenched in their own kills, never seeming to notice it long enough themselves for they were too focused on one another. Striker allowed the attempt, having seen it coming towards him soon enough, and shortly after their words were exchanged, did he realize how isolated they were from the commotion.
Paws in reverse, he minded his footing carefully, knowing full where their location and where Aspen's mind was at, just as well as his very own. The muscles beneath his pelt coiled and twitched, the apprentice held a steady stare towards the male's direction, ears erect and tail raised while his teeth still flashed at him. The position did not suit him as fair as he wanted, he knew where this was going, and was not proud of his obliviousness, perhaps he'd die a quick death, or maybe find the advantage of going around him. He wouldn't go without a fair fight, if he did, he'd die a worthless cause like the rest of them here. As Aspen lunged forwards to make his final joyous attempt in taking him down the cliffside to his death, Striker mimicked the action, only having them collide at strong forces. The sound of thunder filled the brute's ears at the two hit, but the opponent had the upper-hand being he was larger, which pushed him back farther than he had thought. His hind foot slipped out from under him, causing his balance to waver and his large dark blue eyes to widen with a tinge of fear. He was prepared for death for months, having sometimes hoped it'd come early - but today was not his day. Narrowing his brows, he growled furiously at the air and opened his jaws full and wide before latching quickly onto the male's scruff. "If I'm going to Hell... I'm taking you down with me." Striker mumbled through the fur, allowing his body to fall back from the edge and tumble below whilst still holding the male in his jaws. The air was then filled with a panicked howl coming from his throat as the ground was so far away, yet nearing faster and faster before him. Fear caused the apprentice to release the fur and tumble on his own. Black filled his eyes as his body hit a hard surface, instantly knocking the wind out of him, as well as all consciousness. He had no knowledge as to what happened minutes before, other than the last he'd felt the male's fur in his mouth and the impact against his side and head. Other than that, it became a huge blur.
Where had all the good people gone? ____________________________________ Attack: Lunges forwards; latches scruff; drags down the cliff with him. Defense: Showing signs of dominance. Injuries: Concussion/blacked out; severe internal damage to his side; scratches on face; increase in blood-flow. |

| At the words of her Alpha Piper felt her world sink. Time seemed to slow before her while the actions of others sped up. The two families seemed to collide at the call to start the battle and Piper saw her sister Willow right in the middle. Turning to yell out to her she was too late as she saw Striker bring her down. She choked back tears as Aspen jumped at him after finishing Icarus, the pair locked in a duel. She didn't know where Ciro was, but all that was on her mind now was survival. From the other side she saw Renier creep at her. Her gaze swiveled back to Willow's lifeless body then caught Aspen rolling off the cliff by Striker. This was too much for her to take. Blinking once she pushed off hard from her back feet and ran hard at the other male. Tear stained eyes wouldn't let her see much of what she was doing, but her maw soon tasted fur and blood. It was over soon enough as the fae's jaws found the young male's tender throat. He had torn her ear but she felt no pain as her head thrashed his neck. Blood pooled into her mouth and a cracking sound was heard as she knew his neck had snapped. Blind to the goings on around her she continued to thrash the male, well beyond the time he fought back. Her throat felt chocked up and her mind didn't know what to think, only the images of her family laying slain burned into her mind. Finally she stopped shaking the bag of skin and fur and dropped the body. Aspen and Striker were no where in sight, where was her remaining brother Ciro? Would he suddenly turn on her and go down that dark path? Piper felt so alone now even though almost the entire pack was watching the ordeal, what would happen now? ____________________________________ Attack: Killed Renier Defense: Braced legs, tucked tail and ears back. | Finally after much of the pack gathered near the cliff edge Teren spoke out. At first his words of nobility and honor hit home for her, but as the conversation turned darker her heart started to sink. Pups kill each other? Surely this was some sort of joke, he really couldn't expect the yearling to fight to the death. Her fears were answered when the Alpha called out and suddenly her pups and Cliche's were thrown into a blur of snarling, blood and cries. She only saw bits and pieces, between Willow being attacked and Aspen going after Cliche's eldest. She cried out, her mouth dry from shock for this to stop. Willow was now in the teeth of Striker and Aspen held Icarus down. She couldn't stop herself fro lunging out towards the field, she would stop this somehow. Piper and Ciro weren't in her line of sight, but she must protect all of her young from this insanity. She had worked too long and hard to have some idea from a pompous over rated old brute to ruin her family over.
Chiara tried to lunge towards the fray, she would place herself in the middle if she could, try and protect as many of the young as possible. Why was he doing this? Did he really want so many against his rulings that he would throw away innocent lives for it? "Stop!" She yelled, "Alpha please stop this, I beg of you!" She continued to yell, trying to get to her pups. Jut then she saw Willow fall and her mouth gaped open in shock. She couldn't speak nor breath, it was too much for her. I'll make you pay for this Teren, mark my words you will feel my wrath from this. |

| His eyes shut, but it was not in horror. The Alpha male’s call for the battle to begin silenced the crowd, parents utterly helpless, young utterly shocked, but for only a moment, because there was no time for fear to take over before the weak would be targeted, lifeless before even having the chance to register what kind of threat had been forced upon them. He could hear ravenous jaws clamping, snarling, and there was no reason to open his eyes because he could see just as clearly in the dark what the massacre would look like. There was only one way for death to look, and when finally he opened his eyes, assuming his superior wouldn’t approve of his failure to observe, the blood that littered the ground, encircled the corpses that had already fallen, was exactly what he had pictured behind eyelids.
He realized then that he hadn’t known many of their names. He couldn’t identify with the deceased; examining them, he found himself unaware of who it was that had died and who of the litters still breathed. He had been so captivated by the scene unraveling before him, the brawl between creatures far too young to be murderers, that he hadn’t noticed his fellow Beta take action until her words pierced the air. If she aimed to bring a stop to this, to save her offspring from their untimely fate, then it was her who would be stopped - she was a good mother, she had proven that just now, but her nobility would be costly. Teren’s warning was still clear and fresh in the forefront of the Beta male’s mind: anyone who interfered would be directly attacked by the Alpha male himself. The last part of the thought appeared momentarily lost upon Irrationality, for through the corner of his eye he willed himself to peer at his leader, the slightest sign that he was prepared for orders - watchful, should they be issued. If it was requested of him, he wouldn’t hesitate to attack her.
He had never been a violent wolf, but he had always held an uncanny capacity for loyalty inside of him. He was obedient thorough and thorough, had very well devoted each intake of breath into his lungs to his sovereign, and because of that, he could never think to disagree with something that Teren believed necessary for Erenyx’s triumph. There was no place for the weakest of the young in Erenyx, and for that they would be eliminated by those among them that were stronger. It had been expected that a few mothers and fathers that were a touch more… attached would put up a fight, desperate to save their young, so Irrationality had prepared himself to turn against one of his own at so much as the flick of the Alpha male’s ear. He was at his superior’s beckon and call, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for him and, ultimately, his vision for Erenyx’s future. The young were dying, but that didn’t mean the old were exempt. |

| Samael had been cautious while in the pack. He kept to himself most of the time, only being in large groups when required. He knew the dangers this Alpha held beneath his emerald gaze. He knew what treacheries this Alpha would go to. But he never imagined the young wolves in this pack would be treated in such a manner. As he sat in shock, his eyes watched the wolves before him. They fought one another mercilessly. The first to strike was a larger pup from Magnus and Chiara. Samael had not learned the name, but heard through the pack that he had daddy issues. He scoffed at the young wolf, watching as the pride within him filtered as a sheath over his eyes. He was stupid and young, much too young for this style of fighting. No young wolf should be forced into this sort of circumstance. The bi-colored eyes watched as the large conqueror had finally killed his target. He left his flank wide open, allowing any and all the attack. He looked to his Apprentice, Striker, the young wolf had taken over a young fae, killing her quickly. Even though the circumstance was horrible, he was proud of the young wolf. He had taken the training he was given and actually utilized it. When Striker did survive, he would tell him how proud he was. So once Striker had taken down is opponent, he went for the male with the big ego. Hearing their words speaking about Aleu in such a manner irritated him to no end. His gaze stared down at them, and his mind told him they were lies. Aleu was dead, Striker would not lie to him. It was only a tactic. If a proud wolf was unable to accomplish a task, you make them feel worthless, that they could never do such a thing. Samael took a deep breath and watched on. It was not until Aspen and Striker were both being sent towards the edge of the cliff. The fog was thick around the edge, allowing none to see its bottom. Samael shot up on all fours and watched as Striker made the final move, taking both of them down the cliff. No wolf would survive such a fall. There were too many dangerous rocks, jagged edges, and who really knew what creatures rested in the deep depths down there. The Warrior could feel shock rushing over his spine. It attacked his joints and did not allow him to move. Everything turned silent as he stared at the cliff where the two wolves no longer stood. He knew the battle raged on and the bloodshed continued, but he could not stop staring. He had lost his family, and now he lost a “brother”, a wolf he could confide in and teach. It was not until Chiara rang out and stepped into the circle. She was the Beta, female of course, but this was not a good idea. Samael shot a glance towards the Alpha and he could tell something bad was going to happen. Even the Beta male looked pissed, or that he was about to kill someone his own self.
Unable to take it any longer, Samael pushed through the crowd and stood beside the Beta female. ”This is ridiculous. You try to make yourself seem like the hero, but you are the villain in this story. These young wolves were not old enough for such a task, and soon they would be strong wolves to have in your stupid pack. You are a maniac, and you will pay for what you have done!” Samael knew what was going to happen for this. He would be killed. But what else did he have to live for? His family, his friend, they were all gone. Life was not important to him any longer. Instead, he would die martyr, knowing he stood up to the Alpha male. He hoped the other wolves would at least speak less ill of his bloodline from now on. After all, Samael was not his father, he was on his way to making a new name for himself. |

| Cliche's head spun to the attention of her Alpha, listening quietly, though hardly paying attention, for her anxiety only grew as his words continued. Why did she have the feeling he was trying to repeat the past? For which, he was, only causing her limbs to go numb in place. The healer could feel nothing beneath her other than her pulse jolting throughout her entire frame and into her throat. It felt as if she had swallowed a toad, and was choking, dying even whilst standing completely still on her own among the circle. Her amber eyes grew wide and her breath hiked - what was this reaction she was experiencing? The world began to tilt and crumble before her, her eyes darting, since they were the only thing that could move, to see whom all had captured those last few words. That is, until the battle began with the last command. Their lives were far too young and short, why now was this being placed on them, why had it come to such a massacre to begin with? If she had known such disaster would come of them after Steele's death, after what she thought for praising Teren was a good thing, she began to regret everything. But now, she was faced with an even more tragic discovery - she couldn't do anything about it, no matter how hard she would try. Her paws seemed as if they were glued with concrete to the cliff's floor.
The fae caught sight of her first born, the first to be slaughtered beneath Chiara's eldest, Aspen. At this, she grew angry, her lips curling back as she tried her hardest not to lash out and growl to the top of her lungs to bring this battle to a complete halt. She couldn't. Her body couldn't physically commit such a display even if she wished. Looking rapidly between Renier and Striker, she focused more on her second eldest, seeing as he had made his first kill. This gave her hope, causing herself to finally reach her feet before pausing once again. She watched closely as he then made the prowl towards Icarus's killer, silently using what Samael had taught him, for she was more than thankful for. As the male was brought down by her son, she laughed off a quiet sigh of relief and smiled her hardest despite the loss she felt for Icarus. Once Striker made his advances, she caught her breath and tried not to scream when the other pup tried taking the lead in backing him up - they were going towards the cliff. No! Her thoughts cried, but her voice could not manage a peep. It was far too late for her to even try, whimpering helplessly to see both had fallen off. Leaving only one more - Renier the victor. She eased her mind to the wolf, seeing as he would be the only one left for her to love physically. But she was scorned with the sight of him being slayed at Piper's paws, her heart sinking out of her chest completely - paralyzed with shock before jolting a glare at Teren. Why had he not stopped it to crown her youngest? He had survived! She snarled ruthlessly, rage causing her to look the other way and target the presence of the female pup standing and the other one, the pathetic black male to what did nothing to deserve his life of Chiara's litter. Cliche stepped forth once before something held her back.
She saw flames.
They were all around her, like as if she had been warped back in time to when the fire scorched her lands and forced her out. She couldn't breath, the smoke having filled her lungs to the point where it was near impossible to find fresh air. Her pelt was darkened with ash and slightly burned, but none which would cause her severe damage. The amber eyes she possessed swirled with the mirrored image of the wildfire - the pup she tried to save came walking towards her from the flames and looked at her with saddened eyes. Guilt filled her. She could not kill another so young - not like before. Stopping completely in her tracks, the image washed away and she was brought to attention of Samael and Chiara's voice shouting against Teren's command. She was about to do the same till she saw the Beta male's emotionless gaze, her eyes training on him as if she expected a proper reaction to such deaths. But he displayed nothing of the sorts - he was simply obeying, as if he knew this would happen. How could he, she wondered. |

| Things were going well. The pups had taken his direction well. Teren had his eyes on the first pup, seeing a great potential in him. He had taken down one wolf rather quickly. The other wolves seemed to be in shock while he was quickly at work. Emerald eyes watched the blood splatters and spray from the wounds and attacks they gave one another. More blood the better for this type of brawl. Nothing showed your true self like fighting for your life did. The wolves in this pack were tough, for the most part. The young wolves had a lot of pain to come to them, for even after they went through this, if they survived, he would personally make sure they went through even more training. He did not trust many of the wolves he had now, and in fact, he wished to replace them; all but one. As the first two pups were killed, a sadistic smile appeared on the Alpha’s lips. His eyes were filled with excitement as he watched the young destroy one another. The Alpha male snarled as the pups left the circle, but immediately stopped and watched. One had killed them both. It was an interesting tactic, one he had seen somewhat similar like before. One pup had fallen down a cliff before, but Teren had never known if he had made it or not. It was not something he was really interested in any way. It never returned to their scorned home, so he could only assume that it was no longer living, not to this day. The midnight brute was enjoying himself as now only two pups remained. He knew not if they were related to one another or if they were friends, he did not care. But before either of them could attack, they were stopped. Chiara, the fae he had trusted with the rank of Beta, stepped forward. She shouted and tried to stop her young from dying. Teren did not care. Looking to Irrationality, he could see that he was ready for any commands the Alpha might give to him. There were two ways to go about this: the first would be to allow himself the pleasure of killing her, or he could let Irrationality show her the rank she was supposed to hold. Before speaking, a low growl rippled from his throat and his eyes focused on her. No longer did he care about the pups that still lived. All he cared about was stopping this bitch from ruining his happy time. The Alpha moved into the semi-circle. But before he could do anything else, Chiara was joined by the brute he hated the most. Samael stood beside Chiara in an attempt to save her life or just to be an idiot. He was not too sure what direction he thought this Warrior was trying to go. Teren looked now to the bi-colored eyes, seeing them glaring back to his own emerald gaze. Oh how this act angered the Alpha alone. His tail hung over his spine, popped up over his back and exposing his dominance to the whole pack to see. He was not playing games. He was not going to allow someone to say such things to him. The larger wolf snarled and bared his blood-stained fangs. ”Insolent fool.” Those were the only words he spoke as he walked up to Samael and pressed his chest against the other’s body. It was obvious how much bigger Teren was to the other wolves in the pack, even with Samael being a sizable wolf. ”Stand down Warrior… Or face your death.” Before giving Samael the chance to do so, Teren snapped his jaws around the neck of the younger wolf. He held tight and dragged the male into the middle of the circle. The younger wolf fought back as much as he could, but Teren’s strength and height was too much of an advantage against him. In an attempt to cause severe pain to the male, he applied his paw to the left side of his rib cage. Applying as much weight as he could, Teren could feel bones breaking beneath his paw. Samael whined to the pressure and pain, but he could not move. Lifting up his head, he looked over to Irrationality. ”Take care of the obnoxious fae. Take her down a peg or two.” After giving his orders to Irrationality, he turned his head back to the worm beneath him. Adding more and more weight, Teren had every intention for every rib in his side to pierce an important organ, cause internal bleeding, and force the wolf to die. It was not the first time he would show his malice, and it would not be the last. But it was not enough. Teren had only begun his own bloodbath. ”Your mother was lucky she abandoned you and your pack before I arrived. I would have forced her to mate with me, to birth more pathetic siblings for you to love and they would have been born the same time as these youngsters. I would have forced them to be killed first, so you could watch not one, not only your father, but all their lives being lost. And your sister, if she is alive, I will find her and I will kill her myself. I will rip her intestines from her body and wear them as a wrap around my neck. And I will bring them to your site of where your bones will finally lie. The whole lands will learn from this as the rogues devour the little bodies you seem to care about so much.” Teren moved his jaws down to Samael’s neck once more and drug his teeth against his exposed flesh. ”Tell your father I said hello.” Finally adding more weight, he attacked the brute and pressed more weight on him. This certainly would kill him. Permission to treat Samael in this manner was granted by Warrior Samael. |

| Others joined them soon after, his mate taking her place at his side. Cliche, Tye's mate, sat with them. He looked around expectantly, Where is Tye? He missed his brother and hoped no ill had befallen him. He was the one wolf Magnus could trust. He trusted Chiara of course, but there were some things a male could only discuss with another male. Tye was his best friend, his brother in arms. They'd struck a bond of the strongest friendship any had known. They knew everything about each other, every thought, every tactic, every idiotic thing they'd done as an adolescent. They'd fought one another and still remained friends - with a few scars to show for their efforts. He kept his eyes peeled for the dark male but never saw him enter. He kept his seated position, rigid and formal, head up, eyes staring straight ahead while their Alpha spoke. Pup fights. None of this was new to him, he was raised just the same. It weeded out the weak from the strong. Chiara wasn't as accustomed to the practise, lunging into the circle. He leapt into action, diving onto her back and pinning the smaller fae down. He lowered his muzzle to her ear, saying in a low, husky voice, "Don't, it's not worth loosing you too." He saw Icarus go first, a true disappointment. The pup looked much like his father and had the ambition and gall to fight back. Magnus stared down at the lifeless body of the brute, all hope for survival extinguished. One. It was unsurprising to him that Willow was the first of his brood to die, she was never a fighter. Seeing her youngest die seemed to break something in Chiara and she stopped struggling against him. Magnus looked at the blood staining her white fur. It wouldn't be until much later that he realised the gravity of this event. His youngest daughter was dead and he'd not made the time to get to know her properly. When it did hit him, it would hit him hard, but that was some time from now. Two. Cliche's son - for he saw no real resemblance to Tye in him - Striker, was locked in mortal combat with his own eldest, Aspen. Aspen was bright and ambitious, deserving of the title warrior. But the child needed to learn respect before he would be shown any respect of his own. They edged closer and closer to the cliff, Aspen backing Striker to the void. His lips raise just slightly to show his larger canines. "Get him, son!" he growled out. But his son was not to be the victor. Striker fell, latching onto Aspen as he did, dragging them both down. He heard no movement below and assumed both were dead. Four. He turned his attention to his only remaining daughter, Piper. She was strong and quick, taking her training quite seriously from day one. She was clearly upset by her sisters death, but she used that emotion, channeling the anger. It would have made sense for her to go after Striker, but he was already gone, so she turned on his brother. Reiner looked more like his mother, but had his fathers spirit. The child could be oddly curious and eerily kind in such a hateful world, but Magnus liked him. He just liked his daughter better. "Good girl Piper! You survive!" She lunged for Renier and ended him swiftly, removing his throat with her jaws. Six. Ciro he was yet to see anything, his amber eyes turned on the young male, growling lowly at him to get a move on. He nosed her cheek gently. "You must be strong for them. We still have Piper and Ciro, for now. They need you." Samael stepped up beside them, taking the Alphas focus off Chiara. Magnus wasn't doing anything to stop the fights, they were already in progress and they had already lost their children, all he could think of was keeping her alive. She was what mattered most to him. They could make more pups, but he would never find another wolf like her. He looked over at Irrationality, now ordered to "take care of the obnoxious fae". Magnus raised his hackles and bared his teeth to the male in a snarl. "You will never touch her." He growled, standing protectively over his beloved. |

| [Beta Chiara has given me permission to successfully attack her in this post. Since Magnus is planning to defend her, you can choose to have him retaliate against Irrationality in your next post if you’d like! I’ll PM both of you some wounds I’m okay with having either of them inflict if they're going to team up against him or something.]
The Alpha male’s orders resonated inside of him. He stood to his full height, eyes fixed upon the body of his counterpart in rank, not a fleck of emotion in his eyes to hint that this was hard for him to do. Friendship was an easy thing for him to disregard. He had spoken with these mothers and fathers on numerous occasions leading up to this moment, but none of that mattered, for surely all of them had known that nothing was more important to him than his loyalty. He could feel Cliche’s eyes on him, like she was disgusted by how he was turning out to be - no better than the monster that reigned. Perhaps it was true: that he was no better. He wasn’t sadistic, not by any means, and if Chiara hadn’t stood against the pup fights then surely none of this would be happening. He didn’t want to hurt her. Of course not. But he would.
The second that he began to charge was synced with the second that Samael could be heard gurgling out painful cries. He wouldn’t come to the young wolf’s aid, he would do nothing for him, because he had been foolish enough to publicly disgrace the Alpha male. It was in Teren’s power to make the puppies fight for their lives. Irrationality had agreed to serve him dutifully, to serve him no matter what he chose to do with his influence, and he would never turn his back on his word.
The Beta male’s face was unreadable, and perhaps that was the scariest part of all. He had never fought in front of his peers before. None of them had ever seen this side of him - the side that only Teren could call upon and bring to life. Each tooth was ravenous, jaws opening a little wider with each stride until he was close enough to strike. He interlocked his fangs around Chiara’s ear, severing a chunk of flesh from the rest of her body and letting it fall to the ground, but no, he was not finished with her… he tore into her shoulder blade, the force behind his momentous attack speaking of unfathomable volumes of power. Through the corner of his eye he spotted the Guardian, her mate, and though he heard the threat buried within Magnus’ words he didn’t back off. He didn’t snarl a warning. He didn’t peel his lips back to threaten him. There was no trace of anger, of hostility, on Irrationality’s face, only a compliance for the Alpha male’s order, a watchful eye trained upon the Guardian’s body, prepared to attack him as well if he’d dare to interfere with what he had been demanded to do to Chiara. He would be disadvantaged if both of them fought back, but that wasn’t going to stop him. Neither of them had to agree with what he was doing, nobody did; they need only look at him, truly look at him, to see that his violence was not his own, but instead a manifestation of Teren’s will. |

| The dark fae heard her beloved call out to her then she felt the weight of him on her back, preventing her from reaching her young. Still she struggled under the large male to reach her remaining pups, she had to protect them from this ridiculous procedure. Teren then called out to her and a flash of fear for her life or another's entered her mind. Would he unish Magus or her remaining litter for her motherly instinks? Not careing about her own life she finally got out from under Magnus and stood to face her opposite Beta. Irrationality had been ordered to "care take of her" and she wans't about to let that happen without serious complaining. She wasn't just some warrior who needed to be put in her place, she was the Beta of Erenyx. Staring at the large male her eyes were emotionless. In her mind she had done nothing wrong but act as any mother would. Her family would always come first in her eyes, loyalty to a Alpha second. Staring deep into the male's eyes she saw no hint of pleasure in what he was going to do and something in the fae's mind told her he wasn't going to enjoy this. Just before she was going to speak up her mate beat her to it. Looking over her shoulder to the male she frowned. "No Magnus this is between me and Irrationality, please let our Alpha's rage be only directed at me and not you." She said through gritted teeth, for just then the Beta chomped down on her right ear. Whimpering in pain she watched the large chunk fall from his mouth and felt warm blood seep down her face. Spitting it out she lowered her gaze to the male. Her tail rolled up over her back in an act of defiance and she charged him. She would defend herself against him and not roll belly up to Teren's wishes. She wasn't a pathetic little Warrior anymore.
OOC-Irrationality has given me permission to attack him and do damage.
Chiara hit him head on and the pair interlocked in a rolling ball of snarling. Soon she felt teeth at her shoulder and through her body backwards on the ground below him. Using her back feet she kicked and scratched at his face and mouth. She felt more blood dribble down from her face and shoulder, but that didn't matter. All that she felt now was making an example of herself that she wasn't some lowly fae with no power, no Teren would soon see just how much her had ruffled her feathers today. She was unaware if Magnus had heeded her warning or not, but she couldn't tell if her mate had joined in to assist her. Blood was still draining from her and she blocked out the pain for the most part as she kicked at his lower jaw and tried to bite at his ribs and side. After today she knew things would be much different, but at least she would make sure Piper and Ciro would survive more of Teren's brutality. Finally after endless moments of fighting she mumbled to the Beta with blood in her mouth. "If you want surrender you won't get it. You'll have to kill me before I submit to you Beta. I don't blame you for this but I will defend myself and the lives of my mate and young with deadly force if needed." She warned, spitting out a large clot from the oozing wound around her ear. Her voice had been low and directed only at Irrationality, hopefully Teren hadn't heard in the scuffle. It was a silent threat more to her life than anything. She knew deep down Irrationality was not a horrid male who saught violence over reason. He was mearly a pawn of Teren to do his dirty work. The male still held respect in her mind, but she would never respect the order to punish her for protecting her children. She would fight him, yes but never not hold ill feeling for the sable brute. He deserved more than that and she knew he was better than all of this. |

| Perhaps Teren was right. Samael had been a fool. He allowed his emotions to take over his mind. His eyes turned to the ground as he was attacked viciously. He attacked back, but to no avail. The Alpha was skilled and he could now see why it was so easy for him to take out Steele. He knew his strengths and he utilized them very well. Samael was pinned down and soon the Alpha would send his goon after the Beta female. More blood was going to be shed. Why? Because the Alpha wanted to see bloodshed. This was no way to treat a pack or any living wolf. It was wrong. It was unjust. Teeth buried themselves beneath his flesh, ripping and pulling as they made their way deeper. Tufts of fur along his neck were missing. His bones along the left side of his rib cage were caving. He would have to do something to break away from the monster which had pinned him. Struggling to fight through the pain, Samael bit the ankle of the Alpha. He tore at the joint and tried his best to severe something, or at least to allow him some space to get away. Just as he planned, the Alpha male released him and Samael was able to shift away from him. But as he moved the weight of his body, he heard a bone crack. That was not good. He knew nothing of these sorts of injuries or how to fix them. All he knew was that he was in pain and now in trouble. Now that there was some space between the Alpha and himself, he snarled to their king. "Teren, I shall come back for you, avenge my father and leave my mark on this pack. They have sen the true monster you really are, and I know they will not stand for your crimes any longer. The next time you see me, it will be the last thing you see." Samael quickly turned and ran as hard as he possibly could. He could feel his lungs expanding as wide as they could, but the pain made it hard to breathe. He huffed and he puffed until he was no longer in Erenyx territory. He would need to find a healer, one who would help him, even after his treason. Would anyone really wish to help him? |

| With a bite to his leg, Teren pulled back from Samael. It was a good bite, deep and strong. He really didn't think the younger wolf had it in him. Teren had made his life a living hell. He had destroyed the only foundation he knew and turned everything upside down. But perhaps that was what he had always wanted to do for the wolf. The male was much like the only son he ever loved. It was an interesting thing to see, one wolf shape into another, just a different bloodline. Teren smiled as he listened to the wolf speak. He had nothing to say to him, but as the wolf ran from him, Teren laughed. "You will die before the sun rises tomorrow morning!" he shouted to Samael. But before he could focus on such a wolf, he turned his eyes on the issue at paw. Two young wolves lived and his Betas were fighting one another. It appeared that the Guardian was choosing to assist his mate, and this simply would not be tolerated. Making his way to the fighting adults, Teren stood beside Irrationality. He snarled and growled as loud as he possibly could. "Fae you will stand down and submit, or you and your mate shall both be killed. Now, do you want to leave your young motherless? For they both will be tortured for all eternity for your crimes of treason against this pack. If you do not cease, you will live a life of solitude and pain. Your ranks will both be stricken from you, and you will become the lowest possible in this pack. Even the Omegas will be able to harass you." Teren stared to the female and her mate, waiting for their replies. Should they decline his word, then they would be in for hell. Their lives in Erenyx would be nothing but filled with misery and pain. |

| Blood. It was everywhere. It pooled at the paws of the dead, of the guilty, and for once none of it was the Healer’s fault. He got to watch with nothing more than innocently batting eyes, his insides coiling with pleasure at each sharp intake of breath from a dying wolf, each panicked shuffle of a parent as he or she battled with whether or not to bring a stop to their offspring’s torture. He loved the disorder, the mayhem; he would be among the last to do anything about it, to defy the Alpha male, though he could admit he was hoping for someone else to do the honours so he could witness firsthand a little more fun.
And so it seemed that Chiara, the Beta female, was the one who would grant his wish. He watched as she locked herself in combat with her counterpart in rank - surely he had never seen such a puppet - and how a younger Warrior, the brave yet utterly stupid Samael, challenged the Alpha male himself. The bluish-black male couldn’t avert his eyes from the scene unfolding before him, the bloodshed, how glorious it was to watch Samael attempt to hold back his cries of pain. Everything was chaos. Nobody was paying attention to a mere Healer, standing among the sidelines with not a word nor a fret.
That was what made it so easy for him to slip away, into the shadows, hot on the trail of a wounded Warrior that had disgraced his reputation in Erenyx and spoke of threats he could never carry out in his current state. Thankfully, there was someone who could help him.

| The white brute sauntered in, belly full from a small meal he had caught on the way to a meeting that was called for the pack. Nothing would prepare him for the bloodbath that he would soon see the aftermath of. Walking in with ease, he stopped a good distance away from the show. There were dead pups, only the strongest ones still standing. The parents to the young trying to hold back the emotions of the murder of their young. As some parents grieved over the loss of their pups, another even was clear to be happening a short distance away. The one known as Samael had caused an uproar with the tyrant, Alpha Teren. All the while, a male whom he heard as the Beta male, was ordered to treat the Beta female whom he ward be called the name Chiara, in a manner to put her in her place. Her mate, a Guardian, stood up to defend her from her Beta colleague. Malachai's blue eyes were focused on the events before him with interest. He didn't want to interfere with the battles that were occurring between the pack members. Teren threatened the mates with something no high ranking wolf or parent wants to hear. "Now, do you want to leave your young motherless? For they both will be tortured for all eternity for your crimes of treason against this pack. If you do not cease, you will live a life of solitude and pain. Your ranks will both be stricken from you, and you will become the lowest possible in this pack. Even the Omegas will be able to harass you." The words fell from Teren's jaw into the brute's ears. Crisp and clear. He chuckled as he thought of the fear in their eyes that the tyrant before them would see. They clearly had made the wrong choice. For, they would be killed or put in a position to where even the Omegas would cause them torture and pain. Malachai had to admit to himself, he admired Teren's brutality to those who attempted to defy him. Noting was more interesting to watch as the massive black male went through with the words he had spoken from his maw moments before Malachai had entered the area. Sitting quietly a short distance away, the white demon watched the beginning of more death and bloodspill unfold. |

| Damn he had heard her
From her position on the ground with the Beta's fur in her teeth she saw Teren's feet before she heard his voice. She fought back the urge to snarl up at him before releasing Irrationality and flicking her ears back. She knew how to submit and wouldn't let her pride deny her pups nor Magnus their lives. Even though deep down she knew this would sting beyond her wound she lowered herself to the ground and tucked her tail in. Her eyes fell to the Alpha's feet, not looking at him directly as she played the perfect part of "submissive female." Though time and training her earned her confidence in herself she still knew when the odds weren't in her favor. "I am done Alpha, please forgive my insolence. I care not for the outcome of my rank I only wish my families lives be spared if that is your wish." She said softly, letting her mind cool down from the rush of adrenaline. Let her be demoted, she could care less at this point. She would never regret speaking up against the brutality, but she'd never let the king of moose dung here know that.
Deciding to cinch the deal the fae rolled on to her back and exposed her belly to the large male, an act she had mastered from her past. She whined at him for forgiveness and her eyes grew soft and fearful, though it was forced and un-sincere deep down. No ill feelings would be held here today towards anyone but Teren. Irrationality and the pups who killed her children were all innocent in her eyes. No, one of these days when the old fool was alone she would be there, and would make him pay. Samael had the right idea to stand up to him, but he lacked the strength behind his attack. With more numbers maybe finally Teren's rein would come to an end. Chiara made a silent vow that after she washed off the shame of rolling belly up to this jerk she would seek out Samael and gather a following against the horrid male that unfortunately had the upper hand here. |

| The Deltess fae watched with a sharp eye, head held in a respectful manner, respectful to those with higher rank, and to her own rank placed above a mere Warrior alike. Golden-silver eyes watched the swift attacks, as some of the pups fretted, while other viciously launched into attack at a moments notice, even though the fights were unexpected. No hesitation showed as they attacked their friends and siblings alike, as Ariste recalled memories of herself going through such an ordeal. It seemed like so long ago, that she would fret over even a drop of blood being spilled upon her paws, forever tainting them. Guilt would haunt her every waking, and sleeping second. Now, however, the guilt wasn't there, numbed to the point of nonexistence, perhaps crossing the border into enjoyment. The hope fixed on the parents' faces, only to slowly fall as their little ones were brutally slain before their eyes. Various emotions flitting across their expression, each one as prominent, yet fleeting as the last. Onyx paws would shift on the soil, ears standing to attention as the snarls died out one by one, as stars blinked out of sight with the lightening of the sky, sun forcing its way over the horizon. Soon, only two were left on their feet, reigning victorious, and she could not find it in her to be shocked that Renier was not among them. 'Bask in your glory, pups, for if you continue to feed that potential, you could be something great.' The words were spoken only in the vixen's mind, so only she could hear them, as she held each one's gaze for a moment, before a stir caught her attention. In an instant, a dark blur leapt, the silhouette placing itself amidst the dying chaos, howling for it to stop. Not minutes later, the boy birthed to the former Alpha, Steele had joined in the disturbance. Samael, she believed it to be. Eyes hardened emotionlessly, overlapping and cancelling out the curiosity as they flickered from wolf to wolf, watching as all of this went down.
Other wolves seemed to burst into silent rages and to be dragged into voids of sadness at this, but no others seemed brave enough to stand up to the King. They seemed to be the smarter of the group. Sitting up straighter, her eyes roved over the others, as if personally daring them to stand up, to create an attack against Teren and the faithful of the pack. She, herself, would remain faithful. She was not a weak female who mindlessly followed any big strong male, she knew when to submit and had plenty, yes, but she would not go against her Leader, though she could and be punished for it. Perhaps because she didn't find any reason within her to revolt, the lives lost, no matter how young, did not affect her, and the life of a stupid bitch, no matter if she were the Beta or an Omega would cast no shadow over her either. As things escalated, the Male Beta shooting forward to violently put Chiara in her place, and the Alpha himself stepping forward to take care of Samael, Ariste's bright orbs would snap harshly as yet another male stepped up as well, presumably Chiara's mate by his previous and current actions. As Irrationality made his attack towards her, Magnus would snarl, teeth being bared.
The femme would look towards her Alpha briefly - she did not expect him to call on her, but was more looking for a signal not to attack, snarling at her to back down, something along the lines of how such a worthless bitch not being able to take a Guardian wouldn't come as a surprise. Still, she slowly rose slightly to her paws, muscles tensed and alert, prepared to lunge forward at any notice. Under her long, silken pelt of fur, built muscles were strained in her shoulders, sides, and hinds, set to piston off in the time one took to blink. These wolves were now all worthless to the pack, in her eyes. Treason was not something she took lightly, and one who committed it was not one she would trust with anything. But their failure nearly made the lithe girl chuckle, the urge growing stronger as she saw Samael's obsidian figure dart away at top speed. She supposed it was anger of the moment that incurred their foolishness, action without thorough thought, but that did not change her view. Her eyes followed Chiara as she at last submitted even after firmly stating she would not, all for the sake of her family. Family, that word was tainted, empty to the Delta. She knew no real concept of family, aside from hazy, repressed memories of her family, ones she had chosen to forget. She knew of, but no longer understood this strong urge to protect someone one was bonded to. The concept of choosing loved ones over ones obedience was sworn to was foreign to her. Her demeanor was subjected to no change, nor was her stance, as she watched closely, all the other faces, reading body language for anyone prepared to attempt a surprise attack. Her jowls only hovered over her sharp teeth to conceal them, slightly quivering as her nose wrinkled with the action, before falling over them once again, remaining still. All this was done, however, with an aura of cool casualty, as if unconcerned by this whole fiasco. Concerned wasn't the word she would use, no, more eager, hoping she would get the chance to tear apart one who went against orders with a cold indifference, yet a vicious passion. But she stood still, as she was expected to, and waited for things to turn out on their own. |

| Figure still connected to the ground through the contact it made with the harsh landscape, the fae would continue to stay in rested position. The time appeared to delay, going by gradually each and every second they were kept oblivious about what was going on. It didn't take long after a few more wolves that she didn't know to appear that Teren finally began to speak once more. It began as a story, a tale about the alpha and some part of his life long ago. Great, story time.. the Lead Hunter would huff in thought, the sarcasm and mockery laced within each letter of her indiscernible remark. As the Alpha's tale proceeded however, interest initially sparked in Braelyn as the words would turn to become a sickening request. Not directed towards the adults, but rather to the pups. They would have to slaughter one another. Head lifted off of her paws, the fae would uncross her fore-legs before shoving her upper torso backs up into a seated position.
With the end of her Alpha’s words, blood was at that point already being shed. While some would be disgusted with the glance of it, Braelyn cherished the order as its aroma spilled into the surrounding air at an extensive rate and the crimson liquid seeped out of bodies to stain the soil red. The thought of pups killing each other was a gruesome idea, family and friends against one another in a blood-filled surge yet it brought her memory back to the day where she lost her own siblings. Despite the fact that the circumstance was different and the fae didn't kill her brother's herself like she would have delighted, the joy she felt back then in her heart to see her litter mates die before her regardless if it was by an outsiders jaws was returning. Rukelt and Deacon.. Recalling their names, as much as she wished to overlook them the fae would never be able to nor would she have the capacity to forget the way both brutes had treated her. Rukelt had unquestionably left his engraved mark that would last forever over her right eye and even in death she would despise him for it.
The word of family was something she wasn’t very well acquainted with, rather than having been granted wonderful days surrounded by loved ones all Braelyn could remember was the depression and loneliness she felt consistently because of her gracious oh-so family which had immediately replaced itself into anger. They had deserved to die. Orbs taking in the sight of it all as one by one the pups dropped to the floor as their lives were taken; Ears would be perched high to hear the twisted sound of teeth finding their way through the skin and the whimpers of vulnerable souls. Her memories making the occasion all the more thrilling in the Lead Hunters eyes. Braelyn supposed though it was kinda tragic for the parents of the young ones unable to do anything, one of them being the fae she knew as Chiara. The hunter wished she could feel the same as her beta, angered and betrayed by what was going on yet she proved unable. Possibly in the event she had a close relation to one of the pups, then perhaps Braelyn would feel differently but even then the fae was strong by her morals that everything happens for a reason.
Surely the death of one adolescent was because they where suppose to die. If they were going to live, fate would have saved them from the clutch of deaths grasp. With the cries of others as the battle ensued, Braelyn just sat by, even with her emotions causing the beat of her heart to skip, the fae would keep her blank, bored expression through it all. Two wolves confronted the Alpha male, one being a similar coat to Teren that from behind they could very well be seen as identical in coloring. As if the young male was the Alpha’s son. While the Lead Hunter didn't know him, she admired his and Chiara's bravery to speak up, regardless of the fact that they were now going to be seized by the two higher ranked males. With the chaos erupting quickly, the Alpha tackling the strange ebony male and the beta’s fighting, it all seemed to come to an end. Everything truly grinding to a halt.
The young brute escapes, just two pups survived and Chiara had backed down into submission. Interesting.. The damage and treason done here today was going to be remembered and while some may disagree, the act itself wasn’t at all as awful as she suppose Teren hoped it’d be. Braelyn was pleased her curiosity forced her to come and witness this for herself for if she hadn’t, the day of today’s start in spring would simply be a tale that no one but the one’s here knew to be a truth. One more minute. The hunter told herself, not yet taking her leave from the destruction as it wasn’t nearly over like others had thought. She would wait to see the debris the chaos abandoned because even with a burned out fire, it could always be sparked again to flames. |

| Everything had happened so fast that before Piper knew it the fight was over and she was the only one left standing. Her one brother and Striker had rolled off the cliff, bodies littered the ground and Ciro had vanished among the chaos. Panting where she stood blood dripped from her maw and wounds covered her body from Renier's struggle. Standing with her paws spread out she finally regained enough notion of what was happening to see her mother and Samael stand before Teren. The male and the Alpha fought before he ran off, obviously quite hurt. The attention then turned to her mother and the fae started to shake. "M...mom?" She squeaked out as the male Beta attacked her and her father retaliated. Too stunned to move she continued to gawk at what was happening. Teren then approached her mother and demanded submission, ha! Like her mother would stoop to his level. Alas Chiara proved her daughter wrong as she rolled belly up to the monster.
Pleading for Piper and Magnus's life Piper became disgusted with her behavior, this was not the proud Beta she knew. This was a sniveling coward, but perhaps she knew better than to stand up to the two males and swallow her pride. Piper didn't understand for had it been her she would have fought back, no matter the cost. For what was she worth without her pride? Unsure now what would happen to her Piper stood and waited. |

| (OOC - As previously discussed with Irrationality and Chiara, permission for some successful attacks was granted. All of this takes place concurrently with the posts of Chiara and Irrationality. Apologies for taking my time, my business is my own.) Magnus stood in shock for a moment as his mate slipped out of his grasp and faced her counterpart. She was far smaller but a more than capable fighter. It was her whimper of pain that snapped him free of the invisible bonds and launched him into action. With a mighty roar he lunged forth, bounding about the two in their scrap. Flaming eyes darted swiftly, searching for the nearest opening. With the male distracted in mutilating his beloveds ear, his back was unguarded. Magnus took the low blow, jumping onto the Beta males back, his forepaws gripping the males shoulders as best he could. He had hoped his weight would pull Irrationality down, but perhaps his momentum was not enough. As it was, while he landed he made a feral snap at the Betas neck, just behind the ears. His teeth caught fur and he went back in for more, this time lower. He snapped at the base of the beasts neck, where there was more flesh to grip with. He felt his canines pierce the muscle and draw blood. Good. The Guardian fell into the fray as Chiara blindsided them with a brutal charge. His teeth kept him reasonably in place and he righted himself when the male Beta landed atop Chiara. He used his positioning to snap down a third time on the males scruff, drawing his head back, trying to force his sharp teeth away from his beloveds beautiful form. Teren demanded they stand down or else forfeit their lives. Chiara, wonderful as she was, feared for her mates life. She played her part perfectly, even rolling onto her back. He watched the Alpha carefully, prepared to take even him on should he go back on his word. His eyes were murderous. His only objective was to protect the life of his mate. Heavy breaths spat from his nostrils, his sights set between the Beta males ears. With all this distraction he could take the male out now. But he was doing nothing more than his job, protecting the wolves of this pack. |
