| The soft, lush grass crunched underneath Rieko's paws as he walked though the dense forest. His ears flickering as he listened to the birds singing their songs in the trees. He thought about the happy times he had with his family and the promise he made to his father. Then his thought about his siblings, wondering what they are doing. Wondering if they found a place of their own or could be dead without him even knowing it. He shutter at that last thought and continued on his journey.
A few hours later, a strong smell of many wolves hit his nostrils as he came across a border. It smelled unfamiliar to him and pondered why he smelled the scent of many wolves. He stop immediately in his tracks and sat. Humm....I wonder why I smell many wolves that have the same scent Rieko thought.Oh! Now I know! standing up as he remembered the stories his father told him about him being raised in a pack."This must be a pack's border" He said thoughtfully as he scanned around the border. Then sat back down curling his tail around his front paws I wonder if they will take me in. I have nowhere else to go, why not? he pondered in his head as he scanned the border one last time trying to detect if one of the wolves was spying on him. Seeing no wolves around the border, he shrugged and pointed his maw up at the sky Might as well give it a shot he thought before howling his tune so the wolves would know that he is at their border. After he finished his tune, Reiko sat patiently waiting for a wolf to come to him. I hope they aren't hostile he thought anxiously, flattening his ears and shifting nervously as he scanned the border once again. |

| The days were getting warmer, so the grey she-wolf was quite grateful for the shade of the trees as she moved along the borders. The Delta's new responsibilities included patrolling the borders. Her normally relaxed stance was slightly more alert while she made her rounds. Breeze let her golden gaze sweep over the lush verdure, examining the landscape for any sign of intruders or roaming wolves. So far, the dusk pelted fae had seen no wolves, and only the stale scents of her packmates could be detected. Desoto, and Desmond were the most recent scents, for they patrolled the area as well. Her ears perked at the sound of a rabbit moving through the bushes a few paces away, but she didn't bother to chase it. There would be time to hunt later. The large female tilted her head at the sound of a howl. The note flowed from the border ahead of her, not too far away. Finally, something interesting to investigate! The Delta trotted towards the source. Curiosity filled her golden orbs as she slowed to a walk, still hidden within the shadows of the forest. She didn't want to appear to rush to this stranger. Her expression was neutral along with most of her posture, although she kept her head held at a respectable height.
Breeze stepped forward, her gaze locked on the wolf before her. The small brute stood out against the various browns and greens of the woods. He seemed nervous as he sat near the border to wait for someone. The grey female let her lips curl slightly as she padded closer. "Hello there. This is Agavos, run by Alpha Desmond. I'm Delta Breeze. What brings you to these lands?" Her voice rang forth, clear and calm. Despite her neutral and confident posture, her muscles remained ready to react at any second. This white pelted male didn't seem threatening, but Breeze knew that looks could be deceiving. Her expression, however, was not unwelcoming. Perhaps this wolf wished to join their ranks. It seemed most likely that this would be the case. He did not have any pack scent clinging to his fur that she could detect. The Delta studied him carefully while she waited for his response. She had patience, especially with shy wolves. |

| The wind blew through his fur and the sun beated down on him. He liked the the feeling of the breeze through his fur, but not the sun shining on him. It made him his fur heat up causing him to feel hot. He waited patiently for them to come to him. He made sure his paw or tail didn't not cross the pack's border, because he didn't want them to accuse him of crossing the border uninvited and think he doesn't have any respect for pack borders. Also he didn't want to ruin his chances of being accepted in the pack as well. "Ok, so what are you going to do? I am going to introduce myself to them, be honest, tell them I mean no harm, and state my reason for being at their pack's border." He said out loud prompting himself as he looked around from his spot he sat at the border.
After a few moments, he saw movement at a nearby bush on the other side of the border Alright, this is the moment you have been preparing for. Don't do anything foolish and follow through with your plan he said to himself in his head. Then looked at himself, noticing his nervous posture And get a hold of yourself! Your NOT a quivering pup! he scolded himself trying to regain his posture, hoping they did not see his nervousness. Then he trained his eyes on the black wolf speaking before him. He listened attentively and noticed the wolf wasn't being that aggressive towards him which he expected from the wolf at first nor friendly to him. Phew!...I sooo glad this is not the Alpha of Agavos, but a Delta. he said mentally relieving himself. Distracted by his thoughts, he didn't notice they were waiting for him to answer them. "Um...S-s-sorry. he quickly stuttered, flattening his ears to his skull and bowing his head looking at the ground beneath his paws embarrassed before continuing on "I-I-I was d-d-distracted by my thoughts..." he said as an excuse. "My name is Reiko, and I come from a family of rogues. I know a little about a pack from stories I heard from my father when I was a pup" he said. Then he slowly looked back up to the Delta making eye contact, his ear still flatten to his skull and said "Also, I mean no harm to you or anyone in the pack. I just want to be in a pack to call as my own. That's it." Finished speaking, he bow his head again I hope I haven't made a fool of myself with this. he thought.
(OOC: Sorry for the delay. The past few days, I have been busy packing my stuff and getting ready to move to a new house.) |

| Breeze watched as the small wolf seemed to be steeling his nerves to meet whoever came to the border. He was obviously nervous, like a shy young pup. The white brute didn't notice her until she had spoken, and flattened his ears with embarrassment. His amber eyes studied his small paws as he explained his lack of attention. "That's alright." The dusky fae said gently with an understanding nod. She listened patiently for his response. The male quickly stated his name and some of his background. A family of rogues? Interesting. Most wolves with such families never want to join a pack. She thought. The only information about them that this brute had was from stories. He might not know how to be social within a pack. Breeze noted. Reiko soon straightened slightly and raised his golden eyes to look at her. The Delta would have to tell him about eye contact. Desmond wouldn't be happy if this wolf met his gaze for too long. The dusk pelted female smiled gently at his next words. "Well, Reiko, I have a couple questions for you. Why did you leave your family and choose to join a pack? My second question is what skills can you offer this pack?" Breeze asked. Her calm gaze remained fixed upon the small white furred male. She saw no point to make him a nervous and stuttering wreck. He was already trying his best to be respectful, even though he didn't know much about pack life. She would tell him later, after all questions were answered. ((OOC: That's ok!)) |

| He listened as the Delta spoke back to him and was glad they didn't berate him any further for his nervousness. When she asked him the questions, he looked down to the ground beneath his paws once again and had to think about the questions for a moment. Wishing he didn't have to tell her about his family. You know the answers, answer them! he told himself inside his head as he stared at the ground beneath him. Making him look like he was studying the ground pretty closely. "I didn't leave my family. Both my parents died a few months ago and I have no idea where my older siblings are at. They left before my parents died."he said quietly remembering the last moments he had with them. "And the reason I chose to join a pack, is because I have been on my own for awhile and this is the first pack I have came across on my journey." he continued on. The second question was hard for him to give an answer to. He took another moment and thought about it What skills do I HAVE to offer the pack? I don't know....hmm, I know how to hunt, have some fighting skills, and I can run very fast as well. he pondered, his face scrunching up as he thought hard about it. Then after what felt like an eternity, "I have some fighting and hunting skills to offer the pack. Also, I can run very fast as well." he finally answered. He then lift his head a bit, so his eyes were fixed on the ground in the middle of them. Feeling a little less nervous around the Delta when he first met her as he waited for them to respond back. |

| The white brute kept his eyes on the ground, perhaps thinking of how to answer her questions. After a few long moments, he spoke softly. The large female listened attentively to his brief description of his family. Could she trust such a story? Yes, for it had not been so far from her own reason to join Agavos. Still, a tiny sliver of doubt remained embedded within her mind. The male continued to speak about his history, ending with his appearance at the border. Breeze nodded empathetically. "I'm truly sorry about your family Reiko. Losing your parents is hard. I lost mine too." Her mind mulled over his statement. "This is the first pack I've come across" he had said. The more she thought about it, the more she realized that perhaps it wasn't a good idea for the small wolf to be a warrior or a hunter...at least not yet. The only knowledge he had on packs and pack life was what he had heard from his parents, who were loners. The grey she-wolf watched as Reiko scrunched up his face in concentration. Satisfied that he was taking the question seriously, she waited. After awhile, his answer was given. Hunting, fighting, and his speed were decent skills. Breeze nodded thoughtfully and took a moment to come to a decision. He seemed honest and eager to join, although quite nervous. Still, he needed to learn much in order to thrive within a pack. The others won't help him... She thought. Regardless, the dusk pelted female saw potential in the smaller brute. With her decision finally made, the Delta smiled and straightened. "Thank you for answering my questions. You seem to have been honest with me, so I shall trust that you do have the skills you stated." She said. Appreciation sparkled within her golden gaze. "I shall give you the rank of Omega, not because you don't deserve a higher rank, but because you need time to become accustomed to pack life. Once you have proven that you are doing well within the pack, perhaps you can gain another rank." Breeze stated. It was true, and she hoped that Reiko would understand that she meant well. She flashed a warm friendly smile for a moment before her expression became more serious. "The first thing that I must tell you about the rank of Omega is that you must treat all others with respect. I noticed you gave me eye contact earlier. Most wolves will consider eye contact from you to be a challenge or a sign of disrespect. You should not look at another wolf's eyes for more than a few seconds, unless they tell you to do so." The fae explained. The Delta hoped he didn't feel scared or inferior. He should have a nice welcome, and Breeze wanted him to enjoy staying in Agavos. She got to her paws and stepped aside, allowing him to enter the pack lands. "Welcome to Agavos Omega Reiko. I shall personally teach you the ways of the pack. I must ask that you try to avoid social interactions until your first lesson, which will be in the pack clearing tomorrow morning. For now, you can either follow me back to that clearing to find yourself a den, or you can find your own way back and explore a bit...the choice is yours. I hope you enjoy it here." She said. The large grey female nodded to Reiko, then turned on her heel with a graceful swish of her tail. Her form slipped quickly through the forest with cheerful confidence as she made her way back to camp. ~ Exit Delta Breeze ~
