love is a dangerous game
Spring had finally settled upon the land, and the territory was full of color and sweet scents. The standard life of a pack wolf wouldn't allow so much beauty, whereas a Rogue is completely and fully exposed to it while thriving in the neutrals. He would rise from his quarters, slowly as he's dressed with earthy shades and sharp, unique markings that provide for a slimming appearance. Driven by the need to satisfy himself through a fuller diet, the rogue casually set out with his head raised contently, ears erect and tail lowered in a calming manner. However, may others not be fooled by his relaxed demeanor, for a grim smile stretches across his face, dark eyes to follow as they twitched effortlessly while staring forwards. This was the season of life, a youth which he fed upon by choice, and was thrilled to know that he was in the presence of four packs that could benefit him greatly this year with some foolish young to trespass his home. Surely, their lives would be given great use by the dark brown wolf - their parents would mourn for their disappearances, and he would be basking in the sun with a full stomach. The image alone made shivers crawl down his spine as he released a cynical laugh. Mjölnir was never one to hide his interests, or diet for that matter, if he found something humorous, he'd gladly show it.

He could hardly recall the trip there, but as he approached a change in atmosphere, the rogue broke free of his wicked thoughts to become face to face with the sea. His dark, whiskey colored orbs softened slightly to the scene, stepping slowly out from the shadows and allowing his claws to sink in the sand as he walked into the open. Shaking out his pelt, the roguish fellow took a stroll closer to the shore, paws sinking as the land became softer with the amount of moisture added to the sand. He found himself walking along the water, leaping away to when it would try to catch up to him and grace his hind legs and tail as he dragged on. He observed the colors, the pulsing waves as they rolled quietly in and returned to the sea like so. The cove was a brilliant escape - a paradise of sorts. It was peaceful, though with a wolf like him, not even a place so serene could contain his misbehavior. Aggression soon wove into his veins, the lack of a pup's blood trapping him internally, causing the voices to roar with agony as they pleaded for life to fill his stomach. Mjölnir grumbled, stomping his foot into the sand so that trillions of tiny tan specks flew up and caught onto his underfur. It couldn't be helped, but he attempted to shake free of the particles. No luck. The rogue leaped suddenly away as the water rushed around his feet, covering his paws and wetting them down, the fur against his forearms now soaked and heavy against him.

Sunlight was becoming an almost constant companion now that Spring was fully making itself at home and life bloomed everywhere. It was almost a bit annoying to be quite honest, everything was so loud and bright. All this shiny new stuff left him in an almost permanent squint and it was all a little frustrating. The silent beauty of Winer was much more appealing to him. The way you'd step out somewhere in the morning after a night of heavy snowfall and it'd be like you were the first being to step paw there and everything was just silent and muffled. Now, no matter where you went there was also something else living away right there and the sun was blinding and there was just noise everywhere. Call him grumpy or stereotypically 'cold-hearted', he much preferred the stillness of death during the winter than the loud movement of life in these warmer months. Of course having a full stomach was a nice addition but he knew how to cope without it and anyway, these months made you soft. When food was harder to get you were instantly a better hunter, always having to be alert and ready. As if to prove his point, he went to take another step forward only to stop in startled surprise as two small birds went flying from a nearby hedge- darting right past his face as they fluttered around each other. Irritated, the large brute would push himself up onto his hind legs and snap his large jaws after them but already they were out of reach. At least they seemed to realize he was an actual threat now and flutter off in another direction. A huff escaped him as he fell back onto all fours, unable to balance on his hind legs for more than a few seconds.

Finally his wandering brought him to the edge of the land altogether. He'd walked as far as he could and now he stood where it all ended and fell away to open ocean that stretched out as far as the eye could see. He wondered if there was more to see out there and if so, what and how far would it take to get there. Were there more wolves or different unusual creatures? His ears twitched curiously but his attention was quickly drawn away by another sound. He stood at the edge of the grass, the land falling away at his paws in a steep rocky slope to the sandy strip of land beside the ocean that shimmered in the sunlight. Another wolf was down there, too far to know anything else about it except that it was a wolf. It seemed to be playing? He watched with slight amusement as it pranced along the waters edge, looking like an oversized pup. It had been much too long since Caspian had found anyone to socialize and 'mess around' with and he wasn't going to turn down an opportunity now. Plus, he'd wanted to go to the beach and after this much walking he deserved to get to stick around for a while didn't he?

He searched around for a suitable way down and after finding a little walkway cutting through the stone and moving down towards the sand without being ridiculously steep, he moved down it slowly until bounding the last few steps and feeling his ashen paws sink into the warm sand. The wind was stronger by the sea but it was nice and he smiled as it tore through his dark pelt. So it turned out that it was a brute and as Caspian sniffed at the air he could not detect any pack scent wafting from this brute. A rogue or exile? How interesting. He had been half hoping it'd be a female he could flirt around with, they always got so defensive when he did that and it was quite amusing - helped keep his mind off more pressing issues. Flicking an ear, two silver orbs followed the interesting coloured brute as it splashed along the edges of the water. However it seemed to grow annoyed as it stomped only succeeding in getting itself covered in sand. The water caught up to it and Caspian smirked with mild amusement as the Earthen brute leapt away from it, now wet too. Deciding to make his presence known, Caspian stepped forward almost lazily. His silver gaze danced in the sunlight and the corners of his maw curled in a sly grin as a soft chuckle rumbled from his chest. "Having fun?" He questioned innocently enough, large head cocked to the side and body relaxed. He wasn't here for a fight today although if this Rogue had other ideas he'd be quick to retaliate.

but that's what makes it interesting
Instead of thinking too much on the matter as his limbs began to freeze from the rush of cold waters, Mjölnir occupied his thoughts with an image much sweeter than honey. He smiled up towards the sun, his eyes crinkling until they were almost closed while the gentle rays of sunshine warmed his earthy pelt. But what of all terrible things running through a rogue's mind could be even near as innocent and divine to call normal? Perhaps there was some control left within him, buried deep underneath that of the wicked, which possessed his vulnerable body and mind to think so differently with the hunger for blood. Those floating golden eyes and obsidian pelt behind it, their height and perfect image still clear as day which made his heart warm and welcoming. He refused to let so much as one demon cross his mind as he thought of his beloved out yonder, living the life one would and whatnot while the fellow rogue would roam safely around it, as if a guardian in the shadows. The brute didn't understand why it seemed right for him to be so worrisome over a petty pack wolf, but there was so much more to the wolf to what others may never come to know. He sighed heavily and removed his direction from facing the sun, turning towards the cove until his eyes darted towards the sound of thunderous, dark laughter.

Not knowing whether to feel flustered or aroused by the mysterious figure, Mjölnir collected himself and stretched a perv-y grin across his maw. Searching the brute from top to bottom with slow, moving eyes, he neared a tad closer, the tip of his tail flicking playfully behind him. "I am now." He answered to the strange, handsome male's question as to if he was enjoying himself and the hyper waters that splashed him like so without warning. "And who is asking? ...Or should I just refer to you as 'Dashing'?" The roguish male said quite frankly, throwing in a small cute snicker as he'd swing his tail too and fro at his ankles. He enjoyed his games dearly, though names weren't as important to the dearest rogue. He asked out of politeness, however the pack which soaked the other's pelt did somehow lure him in with curiosity. Erenyx, he could've only guessed, thinking back onto Samael when they had met in the icy caverns, the same scent yet lacking on his pelt. He could only recall small details about the wretched pack, none which were important to him as a rogue, but he would keep them in mind while speaking with this mysterious creature. He was always ready for a chase, if needed.
notes: he's cute...
