Ever so gracefully did the brute move. His legs moved as far as they could out, stretching out his strides, and despite moving at a rather slow gate it made him move the same pace as a normal wolf's gate. The lone wolf simply didn't just walk however, no he strutted. A graceful movement that showed his confidence and the size of his frame in a way that didn't come off to harsh. There wasn't much more to say except his head was held high, arrogant and cocky. He knew what he was capable of and should most definitely not be mistaken for as a fool. Though, luckily for them, none had so far. Steel grey eyes scanned his surroundings of the unfamiliar trees and landscape. His eyes giving nothing away about his feelings for the scenery he'd seen thus far. He could care little for it in honesty. What mattered more was the task he needed to do; join another pack. The life alone had been fun for the while it lasted, but lately it was becoming rather dull. HE didn't have the luxury of returning home. Well, he could. But if he did it would be straight back to his betrothed he didn't care much for. She warmed his side at night and boosted his ego with her unyielding stares  smiles. Some thought they were destined in the stars, he believed if matches were made from white dots in the night sky, then he had yet to find his.

Speaking of white dots in the night sky... they were out now. As it was night. Middle of it. Did he care? No. As a matter of fact, he rather enjoyed the later hours of night, peaceful. Perfect to cause destruction in. Now, if it hasn't been made clear; Xerarch was bored, he likes to disrupt and destroy things, and he wishes to join a pack now to relieve his unmet sense of humor. What could possibly go wrong? We'll just have to wait and see, hmm? And so then he stood, finding a random border of a random pack he had no idea was like. But, everyone should take chances, right? After all, if you don't take a chance, you'll never know what could be. Shrugging to himself, Xerarch lifted his head toward the more prominent moon, his alabaster pelt standing out against the dark black of night, and released a long loud howl. Why? Arouse and awaken the sleeping leader of course! He wouldn't settle for some measly delta or whatever.

Gingerly walking towards his den for a much needed night of rest, the alpha yawned and entered. The alpha's den was rather large, especially for it only being the brute in there majority of the time. The den was always quite warm and comfortable, but lonely at times. Curling up in the far corner, he settled in for the night. It wasn't long before the alpha began to drift off to sleep, but was abruptly woken by a distanced howl. With a mutter, he pulled his tired body from the ground, yawning, and shaking out is pelt. Grabbing a snack from the kill pile not far from his den before setting off, it was an attempt to help him wake from his slumber. Filling his belly, large paws carried him towards the sound of the howl. The night air was cool and crisp, not much heat from the day was detected to the male. The deep blue sky was filled with the white specks of stars and the light of the moon. It was rather relaxing to see the rest of the sky above rather than the clouds blocking the shine of it all. Now awake, he moved forward with his ears erect and tail curled over his back. It has almost be some second nature for him to curl the russet and white tail when approaching the borders. Coming up on the scent lines, a pale wolf came into his view. Sitka did not want this to be a negative encounter. Perhaps this brute could be trusted and become a loyal companion? Pondering for a moment, he then shrugged and moved forward. Standing on the other side of the border, he spoke. "Greetings brute. I am Alpha Sitka of Helidos. What is it you have called me for at such an hour of the night?" He was calm and collected. He was not going to scare the life out of him, or attempt for that matter. This white brute seemed to be just as big and strong as the alpha himself, but was in a much lower place of authority. Although Sitka was not one to cause trouble or tension often, he still demanded the same respect as anyone in his position would. Even Azul, the great first alpha of Helidos, showed Sitka the respect that any alpha deserves. Unless that alpha happens to be Teren or any similar to the demon wolf himself. Seating himself before the silver-eyed brute, he awaited both respect, submission, and a response for his question that he oh-so politely asked.

The large white brute had sat down then, a sigh escaping his jaws as there was no reply to his call. Lifting a paw, he turned it over so his pad  was upwards so he would gaze upon it. Moving each of his 'fingers' both individually and together he wondered exactly how long he would have to wait. He wasn't the most patient wolf alive, nor the sanest. But he could wait a little while if the promise of a, hopefully, entertaining out come. Glancing up every few seconds from the end of a limb, Xerarch checked out for a sign of a wolf heading towards him. There was none..wait! Squinting a tadd he focused on the seemingly moving form of a orange and white figure. Ah, finally. Yes, come now, I've been waiting. Standing up again, he kept his eyes on the approaching wolf, a tail curled highly above his back and rear, head held high and eyes so sure of himself it almost drove him mad. There was one thing though, he was rather small compared to him. Or at least he liked to put it that way. The other was more average, where he might stand a good ten centimeters or so above the other's height. Once in more defined looks, he dipped his head. A respectful greeting while letting this stranger speak first. Hmm, so he is the Alpha. That's disappointing. Not even very good looking or have something different except for his obnoxious color of fur, his inward voice said. While on the outside he replied with a normal, "Good night, Alpha sir. My name is Xerarch, a wolf who's travelled a long way before standing, humbly, before you. I summoned you to aid me, if possible, with entry and membership to your pack." Blech, let's hope I do not have to say such a thing again.

The ginger male listened to the brute before him. Wondering where he came from and what exactly hid beneath the surface. He seemed to be civilized and respectful of authority, but one can never be so sure. Nodding, he remained in his place. He analyzed the brute before speaking on behalf of his request. "Well then Xerarch, what makes you believe you are worthy of entering my lands and joining my ranks? What skills and assets do you possess that make you capable of doing your job within Helidos? What rank do you so desire if I should allow you to enter?" icy blue eyed gazed upon the other. Hoping that this wolf was not going to be foolish like the one he had hear of Azul greeting at the border not long ago. Arrogant and entitled as he heard it. Sitka would not tolerate such nonsense within Helidos no matter the circumstances. A screech of a bat was heard in the distance not far above their heads. Bats were notorious for carrying rabies, but lucky no such cases had been in reported in recent years. Adders, bears, and other more dangerous predators were more likely to attack than a bat. I wonder how rose would be handling things right about now. Most certainly better than I am. Thoughts raced through his mind about his late love while the silence between the two stood, waiting for the stinger the break it.

It Could be Right or It Could be Wrong [Sitka/border] Empty

The orange one simply just nodded in response before going into a state of silence. What? Did he not make his display convincing enough, or was this wolf just extremely untrusting of new wolves. The white beast could only sigh inwardly to not ruin his character. He had an act to play in order to get into the actual story. All he had to do was gain entry and trust of the pack, and then of course do what he pleased with it. Xerarch couldn't hold in the laugh he wanted to escape, but instead released it as a small chuckle in response to the Alpha's next words. What makes me think that I am so worthy to join your pack? Why everything, of course! My physic, looks, experience.. everything is greater than yours brat. Don't act so high and mighty when that rank was obviously passed down to you because you had some type of... pull with the previous Alpha, or maybe even current.

"What makes me a wolf worthy of your lands and ranks? What skills have I learned and are capable of to do within your pack? The most noble of a humble rank, I would have to say in my own opinion. Dedicated to protecting home and their leaders. They come in with wounds from their feats, but even bow their heads at praise instead of holding them high with pride. That is only, the job of a warrior. And thus the one I would request for you to name me, if deemed worthy. I have trained since I was a pup to serve those above me who are worthy to lead. Which, from what I can tell, you are." He let out a practiced smile where his eyes would close and he'd look so sincere and believable. Just smile and flatter slightly and continue. "I was the best of my group that trained from where I am from. My father, he was my idol and I worked every day to make him proud. I trained under him and various other top warriors from my homeland. Then one day, he and I went on patrol. There was this insane rogue, completely mad out of his mind. The poor brute, you could tell he was suffering. My dad decided to put him out of his misery, but he got bit before the wolf died. A few days later he ended up the same as the rogue, but before then he had told me that I would have to kill him if it ever happened so he wouldn't hurt anyone else. I did, and I was banished. I know you didn't ask me for my history, but I find it necessary to tell you. To prove that I put my pack and their safety first, and my own interests last. I, however, understand if you refuse me because I am a murderer to my own blood, and an exile." He wasn't sure if he had gone too overboard with the fake history, but perhaps it was convincing enough.
