The Evil Within [Samael] Empty
PostSubject: The Evil Within [Samael] The Evil Within [Samael] Icon_minitimeOctober 4th 2015, 12:52

It had not taken the young Rogue long to reach her destination. For a while she had followed a beautiful butterfly as a sort of excuse to edge away from her siblings unnoticed. Who would suspect the pup who pranced after butterflies? However after she was at a safe enough distance to not be called back by her pathetic excuse of a mother, the fluttery insect had gotten annoying as it kept distracting her by flapping its colourful wings right in her face. So she'd simply eliminated it, one second it was there getting on her nerves- the next dead beneath her ashen paws. No longer a nuisance, perfect. The sun was becoming annoying too, it lay across her dark pelt and filled her body with an uncomfortable amount of heat mercilessly, shame she couldn't swipe it out of the sky too. It was the middle of the day and since it was only the beginning of Autumn, the sun was still hot and the air was warm meaning she could do with a great deal of shade and maybe a little water too. After a while she felt the ground begin to slope beneath her paws and with a sly grin she began to prance forward with a new energy. She flattened the delicate flowers beneath her paws as she ran forward, not even glancing down at the colourful plants being crushed beneath her.

It did not take long for the sound of water to cause her to veer away from the sort of path she had seemed to be taking and approach the noise without hesitating. She felt confident and sure in these lands, even as young as she was, she had managed to explore every part of these lands and had many times. Plus, she was a Rouge- there was no high and low ranks here, the fact that she was rogue made her as important as any wolf could possibly be in these lands. She grinned and trotted forward, tail high over her back. Should anyone challenge her, she would put up a fight wether they were young like herself or even an adult. Licking her lips, she stopped when coming across a small stream. It was small and shallow but it would do. Bending down, she lapped at the refreshingly cool waters and felt it roll down her throat. Sighing contentedly, she stepped into the waters and bent down, plunging her muzzle under the waters before flicking it upwards and letting the droplets rain down over her head to help cool herself. Sadly the water was too shallow to reach any higher than her stomach when she waded into the middle and she didn't want to look like an idiot rolling around so this would have to do. Her heart bet quickly and her emerald gaze was wide and alert, she stood on the tips of her paws and felt a grin pulling at the corners of her maw. A small bird was hopping about on the riverbank, picking up pebbles and searching for a meal beneath them. She froze, completely silent and unmoving. Then very slowly, she began to slink forward- holding her tail above the water so it did not make any splashing sounds and making sure to move slowly and get a good grip on the smooth and slipperly pebbles beneath her. Finally, it was within striking distance. In seconds she had shot up onto the bank and pinned the creature helplessly beneath her paws.

She was not hungry, no, she'd only eaten earlier but she had a feral grin plastered onto her features as the small bird flapped its wings helplessly beneath her. For a wolf her age, she was pretty good at hunting. A natural, she called herself. "Hush little birdie, don't you cry" She whispered, leaning down so her face was only inches from its. "Life is cruel ain't it?" She tilted her head to the side, feeling a sudden anger burn through her as it played limp only to go mad again flapping its wings once more as she loosened her grip slightly. With a snarl she applied pressure again and felt something snap, no doubt it was one of its frail bones. "Don't you understand? You may want to survive but your kind's deaths are important to my kind's survival and we all know which is the leading and supreme species." It simply continued to struggle and with an angered snarl she leaned down and sank her fangs into its neck, stilling it forever. Pulling back, she let out a satisfied grunt before turning away, her anger gone and feeling calm and happy once again as the problem was eliminated. Much better. She didn't get why her mother or siblings were so against her killings, it worked perfectly for her. They seemed worried that she'd try to kill one of them if they pissed her off too much, she won't deny that she hadn't considered it but hey, they were still alive weren't they? Even if it was only because she didn't want her mum giving out to her and forcing her to listen to one of them long lectures. She honestly couldn't see the issue, she was permanently erasing problems...she'd been told that this would lead to regrets but she'd never felt such a thing. Sighing, she simply shook her head and leaned on her haunches by the stream, letting the water wash over her paws. Would anyone join her today? She sure hoped so, she was rather bored.

So many things had changed in his world. Nothing was the same. Samael had discovered that he loved a wolf, and she loved him back. Nothing would be more important than her. Only one other wolf would matter to that, Striker. The young apprentice was like a brother to him, the last of family he knew about. There was Aleu, but he wasn't too sure that she would even care about him still. In fact, he was surprised if she would even remember him. They had only known of each other for a small amount of time. He made a note to himself to find her. But what of Katyusha? Was she still living in Erenyx? Was she even alive? If it had been up to Teren, he was sure the wolf would have taken every life that ever loved Samael. But with these revelations, Samael discovered just how much trouble Tundra had forced herself into by her own actions. If somehow Teren was to discover that Tundra not only lied about killing him, but also that she loved him.. She would never survive from that. He would surely make an example out of her. This only made Samael feel an increase of anger. Pushing himself up from the forest floor, the male wandered forward. He had no idea where he was going, but he knew he had to take this anger out before he met up with his beloved again. Never again would he raise his voice to his "mate". As he patrolled the lands unspoken for, the large brute kept his eyes ahead. In the distance, he could hear some sort of a struggle. It was small, but Samael could feel the fur running along his back, sticking straight up. His tail curled over his spine, his chest pushed forward and his bi-colored eyes glared as he inched forward. Slow and careful, the male approached the other, watching carefully, ready to strike if needed.

Pushing through the brush, his eyes stared upon the form before him. It was hunched over in a way, pinning a small target down. It spoke, a feminine voice. But quickly silenced the prey. Samael stared in amazement. In all the time he had spent in these woods, he had not seen another Rogue. He was beginning to think that none existed. He watched her, but quickly discovered she was a pup, far too young to be out on her own. Anything could kill her. Anything could end her life. What would her parental figure think? Did she even have one? He thought for a moment that this could all be a trap. She could be the bait to see if anything would come, then the rest of her family would strike. His head was on a swivel. The male would not allow his guard to fall. Worst case scenario, there would be a fight, but he would be able to withstand anything now. He had almost been killed, barely clinging to life. But he was saved by a guardian angel, and kept alive by a single reason to live. Revenge was not the first thing on his mind, no, it was Tundra. She had put so much of him in her heart, that if he let her down, he would never be able to forgive himself. Pulling his mind back to the task at paw, he stared to the fae. "Shouldn't you be with your mommy, little fae? You know these woods are very dangerous, and Rogues have been known to kill each other for such things as meals.. or what have you..."

The sound of a masculine voice coming from behind startled the young Rogue. Although, she recovered quickly and made her best efforts to conceal the fact that he had managed to creep up on her as she whipped around to face the dark brute. Her fangs were bared and her body was tense and ready to attack, emerald eyes blazing as she held her small frame as tall as possible although it was pathetic compared to the size of the male. The thing about being a Rouge was, you always had to just presume that a wolf was your enemy until they have proven otherwise and that was one rule that Lynx stuck to...most of the time. She narrowed her eyes at the adult male as he spoke, listening but keeping herself poised and ready to fight or flee. A small amused smile graced her features at his words but her teeth were still visible and bared even with the corners of her mouth tilted upwards. Her assessing gaze remained fixed on the male before her, finding itself transfixed by the unusual gaze of two different colours that stared back. Never had she seen this before. One was green, a little like her own and the other a strange silver of sorts. How cool!

Tilting her head to the side, she had to focus on his question again before asking her own about the weird eyes. She didn't know it was possible for both of your eyes to be so different! Eyes that seemed to hold way too much knowledge for a creature of her age would glimmer mischievously as she smirked, flicking her dark ears. "I'm a Rogue, not some silly pack wolf. We learn to fend for ourselves, not stick right by our mommy's sides until we're Elders" She scoffed, tongue already betraying her and leaving her in a nasty situation if this was an aggressive Rogue. Yet on she went, because that's what she always seemed to do and she was still alive and unharmed right now, wasn't she? "Why? How did you do it? Did you follow your momma around and hang on to her every word like it meant life or death? I've heard of pups doing that, they wouldn't let their own self make any decision unless their mommy approved, terrible. You're never going to learn properly that way." She was very final with her words, deciding that that was just definitely right as she finished. Really, it wasn't something she'd thought of before and had only decided this as she'd spoke but she was now very certain that it was right.

She would glance back at the bird as he mentioned stealing meals and merely shrugged. "If you want it, take it. I'm not actually hungry, it was annoying me so I got rid of it." Her voice was completely innocent as she spoke, evidently unaware of the fact that some might find this behavior odd. "And dangerous? I know these woods like the back of my paw! This is just my natural home, if I'm looking for danger I would either go to the actual dangerous places here like the Enchanted Forest or the Neutral territories. Supposedly the pack wolves around there are selfish and cruel but to me they just seem slow and silly, I like to mess with some of the apprentices that I come across in the Neutral lands sometimes." She spoke thoughtfully, small chuckle escaping her lips as she finished with the words of messing with pack apprentices. She remembered coming across the Erenyx and Helidos apprentices before, they had been fun to mess with at first but just got boring after a while. Shifting her position slightly as her muscles began to ache slightly from the defensive pose, she pulled her ashen paws back from the waters and continued to watch through narrowed eyes that were still tainted with distrust. For now, she would continue talking and hopefully gain some knowledge on what this male was like.

"Anyway what makes you call this place dangerous? If this is dangerous then what on earth is it that you call safe here?" She asked challengingly, eye's alight with mirth and the longing to get into a bit of trouble. He definitely wasn't a pack wolf , there was no weird smell clinging to him. He was blessed with the Neutral scent of the forests they lived in unlike pack wolves that all had the same smell as others in the group, a smell of wolves crowded together making some odd stench for each particular group. She hated it, it just crowded her nose and eck. Here, each wolf had their own unique scent of forests, grass, water, birds, anything to do with Nature and where you found yourself most of the time. It was clear and fresh in her nose. Yet, what Rogue would call here dangerous? Maybe he was just a coward, she was very brave after all. Deciding that this was probably the right answer she fought back a yawn and stayed watching this odd male with the odd eyes. Oh yes, the eyes! "What is wrong with your eyes? I have never seen a wolf with two different coloured eyes before, did something happen to them?" She questioned curiously, head tilted to the side slightly. That was her speaking done for now, she would let him speak and hopefully quench some of her burning curiosity before she started again.

There was so much this little wolf had to say. It was blatantly obvious that she was still just a puppy. Yes, she was older, but still very much a baby. Her paws had seen very little of these lands and he dared to even guess that she had not been in a fight. "Small little fae... How unwise you are. Better watch out, for your age is showing dear young one." Samael smirked to her, his expression not of friendship, but the ideas he created within his mind. "I am no pack wolf. I am an Exile. I was forced to leave my pack because I did not stick to my mother's side. I was forced to leave my pack because I am a murderer. I have killed wolves the same age as you. I have killed them my own age, and some were even older than I am. These lands are dangerous because I walk them. You are in danger, little wolf, because I am here and your little mommy is not. I am twice your size in both appearance and experience. Have you even tasted wolf blood upon your tongue? Have you tasted our own species flesh within your maw? I would think not You are too young, little wolf." He glared to her and her so many questions. She was infatuated with his eyes, he could see it in her own. Perhaps it was something she had never seen before. Whatever it was, Samael knew he could use it. Perhaps she would listen to him. Perhaps she would take his words to heart. He could actually help a pup out, it was something he always wanted to do. It was something he needed to do.

"Little wolf, family is everything in this life. In fact, the fact that you do have family, is something you should be proud of. I wish I still had my mother and father. My other was taken from me before I was even your age. She and my siblings were killed. So it was only me and my father. He raised me the best he could, even as the Alpha of his own pack. Then one day, a dark presence came to our lands, and he murdered my father. I have nothing left. You are special. Savor what you have and don't take advantage of it." Then came the talk of his eyes. They were special, yes. They were different and not many wolves had bi-colored eyes. "I have heterochromia. It means that my eyes are two colors. They have been this way since I was born. My left eye is the exact same emerald color as my mother's . She was beautiful, much like yourself. She was a black and white peppered wolf with these beautiful bright emerald eyes. But the right eye, my silver eye, that one is the exact same color as my father's. He was an all black wolf, like me and two life-less colored silver eyes. I was blessed with a piece of both of them, and forever I will carry their honor. It is a very rare thing, but that's what makes it so special. What color are your mommy and daddy's eyes? Who do you take after?"
