~Hunter Arrelys~
Action Think Words

| Arrelys' Bio|

~Arrelys stared at the big body of water in front of her intently. In the water, there was a medium sized fish lurking around from different directions. The one she had her eyes on had shiny silver scales and it seemed to be one of the smallest one. She swiftly turned her head when she heard swishing from the trees. The hunter had purposefully went under the shade to avoid casting shadows, but the sudden sounds were getting to her. It felt as if someone was taunting her from behind. Something flickered in the water and caught the fae's attention. The fish she was eying was swimming away. Quickly, she reared on her hind legs and attempted to step on the fish to disable it, but she failed. The fish disappeared to the darkest area of the water--it wasn't the only one. Crap! Arrelys growled with annoyance and began to stalk away. So much for hunting by the noisy trees.

The wolf followed the louder sounds of water nearby. Her nose was pointed to the ground in case there were ground animals around to be caught. The water had gotten rougher as the wolf traveled further up north. She soon stopped when she spotted fish closer to the water surface. There were even some that leaped out of the water and back in. Perfect, she thought as she stalked closer to the shore. Her intense amber eyes landed on a fish that was swimming rapidly to her. It was slightly bigger than she first one she attempted to catch. The fae lowered herself to the ground and continued to watch the fish. As soon as it paused, the she wolf caught the fish in her paws and quickly bit its head to kill it. Arrelys left it by her paws and looked back in the water for a second one. She completely blocked out the sounds of nature and was totally unaware of the pawsteps behind her.

She walks. "She talks." She thinks.

Breeze was glad there was plenty of forest in Agavos. With so many dark pelted wolves, summer was likely to affect the pack if they didn’t stay in the shaded parts of the territory. Still, Agavos had more mild temperatures compared to the other pack, since they were in the north. Her paws had carried her towards the river in Pangae’s Gully, although she ambled at a relaxed pace. The grey she-wolf was in no rush and she was not about to sprint across Agavos in this heat. A soft sigh escaped her muzzle, drifting on the gentle summer wind. The verdure had grown thick in the oak forest near the river. It was comforting to know there was a place with such good shade. Flecks of dappled light danced across the lush carpet of greenery of the woods, making the fae smile. Today was cooler than it had been most days, and she was thankful for a break from the baking temperatures. Her grey banner swayed cheerfully behind her as she walked. Nearing the last of the oak trees, Breeze heard a splash of water over the slight gurgle of the river itself. Perhaps a turtle or a deer? Maybe it's another packmate. She thought. Her dusty grey form moved closer, eyes scanning the river bank and resting on a familiar creamy pelt crouched at the edge of the water. It appeared that Arrelys was…fishing? The Delta’s lips curved in a small smile of amusement as she ambled forward to sit a couple tail lengths to her left. "Hey there.” The she-wolf said softly, her amber gaze fixed on her packmate. She hoped not to startle the Hunter too much. "Craving a different type of food today? I should probably tell you that fish spoil rather easily and burying them in the ground won’t help. You won’t want to leave those on the kill pile.” Breeze commented with a slight wrinkle of her muzzle. It was the type of prey that she would leave for the big cats. Rather distasteful for the grey female. Her amber eyes scanned the edge of the water, seeming to be more golden as dappled light flickered across her face. She blinked and flicked her tail in front of her face as flies buzzed pasted. "Also…beware of the large snapping turtles. They tend to get quite bold around here.” The Delta added with a grin towards the light pelted fae.

~Arrelys was crouched by the water's edge as her amber gaze searched beyond the rippling surface. Her eyes were narrowed intently with her ears twitching every so often. The she wolf began to see a shadow form below. It was another fish with the same physical attributes than the one she previously caught. Only one thing was different--it was larger. Her tail whipped from side to side as she concentrated on that one fish. Every moment, the prey had gotten closer and closer... Splash! Just as the hunter heard a greeting, the wolf had struck the fish. When the wolf quickly attempted to grab the fish by the tail, it whacked her snout before rapidly disappearing within the waves. Arrelys blinked her eyes and rubbed her now wet snout with her left paw. At the same time, her blood was rising. Silence isn't always bad, she thought with irritation. The she wolf whipped around to see Delta Breeze behind her. Her anger faded immediately. "Hello, Breeze."

The cream colored fae nosed her dead fish from the edge of the water toward Breeze's direction without getting too close. At the wolf's comment, Arrelys smiled. "In my old tribe, I used to watch other hunters fish. I never really attempted to taste their prey. Once they were in the pile, every one of them were gone within the same day it was hunted." She sat down with the fish next to her paws. "After my hunting for the pack, I decided to come here for an afternoon snack. I took a brief peek in the water and saw groups of fish hanging around the water's edge. I thought maybe I can try hunting fish and get a sense if what they taste like." When the wolf got ready to bend down to eat the fish, she paused and looked up at the delta. "Would you like me to get you something?" Arrelys quickly stood up with her gaze still on Breeze. She recalled seeing the wrinkle the high ranked wolf had when she warned her about leaving the fish in the pile. The wolf decided not to offer her the fish she'd caught. "I can hunt something nearby quickly..."   She kindly offered.

She walks. "She talks." She thinks.

The Delta noticed the slightly irked expression which flickered across the Arrelys' face for a quick moment as she spun around. The fish wouldn't be gone for very long most likely, although the grey female flashed gave an apologetic dip of her head. "My apologies for interrupting your hunting." She murmured. Ears remained forward as the hunter explained about her natal pack and how they caught fish. "Ah, that is smart. Indeed you would just want to make sure they are eaten. It's not quite my favorite meal, but I've had fish on occasion. I don't mean to seem...rude. I just wasn't sure if you knew about catching fish or if you were just trying it for the first time." The fae said with a smile. Her gaze flicked to the algae somewhat murky water, silently noting how quickly the river turned sluggish downstream. Her ear clicked backward at the creamy she-wolf's offer, and the Delta turned to face the Hunter with a slight shake of her head. "Oh don't worry about me Arrelys. I just ate, but thank you very much. You're very kind and I appreciate your offer." She replied.

A smile curved her lips as she curled her grey tail around her paws. "You have been doing well. I'm impressed with how much you've contributed." Breeze commented. Her smile widened and her amber orbs seemed to sparkle in the dappled sunlight. "Those who work hard will go far. It takes determination to get where you want to go in life. I see you have plenty of dedication to this pack, and that is very good." The dusty grey she-wolf glanced down at her paws for a moment, then back up at her packmate. "It's something you must find inside yourself. My parents always taught me to give things my full effort...perhaps their high expectations helped." A soft laugh escaped her maw as she recalled her puphood. "They certainly didn't allow me to slack off. Anyway, my point is that you can go far if you try hard enough. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."

   | Arrelys' Bio|

~Arrelys chuckled lightly with her amber eyes almost closing. "It's alright, really. I'm that way when I'm in my hunter's phase." She stared down at the fish she caught. "Hunting these things are a little tricky. I've tried hunting fish before, but I didn't ever try to taste them..." The hunter responded to the delta. In the middle of her speech, she decided not to tell Breeze that she was once afraid of fish. Their scales...oil...the way they open their mouths...eww. Internally, she shut her eyes in disgust. Not now Arrelys, you are in front of someone. Looking at Breeze, she gave the wolf an uneasy smile before discreetly pushing the fish to the side. The wolf ducked her head and tilted it to the side to reveal her smile. Receiving a compliment always made her warm, especially from someone she looked up to. Quietly, she listened to the delta's words of wisdom. Curling her fluffy tail around her legs and sitting straighter, she opened her mouth to speak. "After I left my tribe, I met a loner, the first friend I ever had. During my time with him, I learned of his past and I started to appreciate the advantages of having a pack," she said in a low voice. "'Stay together when the time comes, be yourself to stand apart,'" Arrelys recited her old friend's words. "That's what he told me prior to disappearing. Before I joined the Agavos, I made a vow to show undeniable loyalty to the next pack I join in. I don't intend to breaking it anytime soon," she smiled to the dark wolf. It faded a little when Breeze mentioned her parents and what they taught her. She waited for the delta to get her point across before speaking again. "If you mind I ask... How was your relationship with your parents?"
