| [ I apologize, I saw the mandatory post but it's been quite a few days since it was posted on and decided just to make my own post. I hope that's alright. ] Sapphire's white pelt padded into camp, escorted by Elite Nnlya, who had gone off to do her own thing. The white she-wolf decided to make friends… But with who? Her options weren't so obvious. There were quite a few wolves in the camp, but she couldn't decide who would be best to talk to. Perhaps to lure in a male? It wasn't mating season, as far as she could tell, but it'd always be nice to window shop. Or just a female, to befriend. Friends were nice to have in packs, after all. Who had Nnlya said the Lead Huntress was, again? It'd slipped her mind. But she knew for a fact that she would have to meet this wolf sooner or later. She'd most certainly ask for training routines and workouts. Sapphire sat down towards the edge of camp, but not out of sight. Licking some burrs that had clung to her shoulder on to trip over out of her beautiful white coat, her mind wandering. This pack seemed kind, understanding. There'd be no way it would go under like the last one- would it? There was no way she could be sure, but she hoped for the best.

| Yiska padded softly through Helidos's welcoming territory, being pleased by making the rank of lead warrior. However much bouncing around and showing off was, she had realized her duties remained to protecting camp. With Erenyx slowly making a comeback of those powerful wolves, it wouldn't be surprising if at a moment they decided Helidos was the lesser of the two, therefore taking the pack over. She remembered her old mentor Nnlya, who was one of the most kind souls she had met. The news had spread quickly through camp about how Nnlya was to be dubbed Elite. She sure deserved the role. A generous leader, one who spoke softly, and meant well at that, yet kept others in line, giving small hints here and there. Yiska had also learned that Drogo, one of her other mentors hadn't been around lately. For sure he couldn't have wandered off and decided he was better off somewhere else, but the thought couldn't enter her mind. The fae grinned as she remembered the first time she had sparred with Altair, how she accidentally fell that one time, how the memory was never really able to leave her. It was a huge embarrassment at the time, but now they both had a great laugh at it. Come to think of it, Altair... Where was he? The noble hunter seemed to be gone more and more frequently. She hadn't seen him in a great deal of time. She thought of the first time they met, when the spar would be taking place, the hunter simply joined in with the the three other warriors. Amazingly enough, they had both fell, and just their luck to upon Nnlya.
Yiska continued on, feeling foolish, for the incident was hard to think about. She felt she could run a mile if she wished, but now she was focused intently on just floating. The warrior sometimes could be found alone, wandering, but never far from the center of Helidos. Soon, she had came across the pack clearing, where, indeed was the center of Helidos. Yiska almost cried out with both joy and despair when she entered the space, first entering cautiously, then as if she were a pup bounded into the exact center, sniffing the air. Sure, Aurora's scent had been lingering here, after all those seasons. Aurora she had missed maybe most of all. It was as if Nnlya had a sister. She was beautiful, and wise. Sweet, yet gentle in a way that hinted something along the lines of subtle strictness. Never would Yiska see her to lose control. The first time the fae had her, without hesitation, offered her own den to her, saying exactly this: "This was my old den, I don't believe anyone has taken it yet. I currently reside with my mate, Elite Kenai, just over there." And that was only her. Where was Kenai? Killed off by a bear. Oh how Helidos mourned for him. Such a wonderful and amazing elite. He deserved every single bit of that role. When the incident arrived, it hit the pack like a droplet in water: making ripples effect the whole pool. The one to deliver the message was Lucas. Lucas, the alpha's son. Oh, how the poor thing thought he was cast away, how he believed Azul cared more about his elite than his own kin. So he fled Helidos. And Lucas fled to Erenyx, and that was it. The onyx fae felt so bad for Azul, so did the rest of Helidos. Having your own pup run away by his own choice, one of your most trusted friends being ripped from you, never to return. He had stepped down, for Lucy, his mate and the healer turned alphess was no longer. No one know why, but she after that ceased to exist in Helidos now. She hadn't known Lucy that much, actually at all. When Azul had backed off, Quinn had followed in his footsteps. Quinn, now Yiska had only seen her once, and she seemed everything Azul was. She had courage and knew where both she and others lie.
The obsidian female realized all this time, she had been scenting for Aurora, yet she had found that with a heavy heart, that nothing could be detected. Yiska lifted her maw back up when a fresh scent muzzled her nose. A new wolf, for her scent was only glazed with the scent of Helidos. She followed the strong scent to a white female. She approached her from the other side, making sure Yiska was the one to notice the other first. "Hello." She said as she let the word slip out like a leaf falling slowly and mellow over a smooth waterfall. Following her words were a smile, letting her know she was no threat to the newbie. "I am Yiska, the leader of warriors. Welcome to Helidos." Trying to mock Aurora's greeting. Yiska hoped she appeared pleasant, and opening. She could sense this fae was indeed new, so she tried to sound not so overpowering. She wished to know the rank and name of the female, hoping she would reply with exactly that. She sat calmly, not too far from her. "I hope I'm not invading, may I join you?" Already having sat. She smiled, and waited for her response, hoping to get more knowledge about her. |

| The snow-white fae turned to look at the dark wolf who came to greet her. Her voice was smooth, kind. She figured a healer, if anything from the sound of it. But soon Sapphire discovered that this female was exactly the wolf she was looking for. She dipped her head with great respect. "I am Sapphire, the newest warrior of this pack," She replied, her voice firm but doing her best too not to sound like she thought greater of herself. Of course, Sapphire did. In her own eyes, she found herself prettier than any fae with a black coat. It represented purity and beauty in her eyes. Of course, that wasn't everyone's opinion. She too, used to hold this higher rank, so naturally the fae felt obliged to feel at least a little bit as respected as she was. Of course though, she wasn't. She was now just a warrior, who must hold respect for her higher ranking pack mates, such as the soft-spoken Yiska who had asked to sit beside her. Sapphire nodded, moving over a tad to show that she had no problems with it. "Of course not," She replied, dipping her head. "It would be my pleasure to chat," She added the last part with a small smile. Not a sarcastic one, but genuine. "You're just the wolf I was looking for, actually," The white fae explained. "Your friend Nnlya, the white Elite, was just telling me that I should come and meet you," She let her ears perk as she looked at her momentarily. She withdrew her thought from earlier as she decided Yiska was decently pretty as well. Her respect grew for the fae, mostly as looks in Sapphires eyes meant a whole lot for whatever reason. [ Apologies if Sapphire seems a little, uh, 'rude', I guess would be the term. She's very egotistic and loves to show off, so it's her duty, in her own mind, to compare herself to other faes. She usually thinks higher of herself, but usually doesn't show it in her body language or expressions. ] |

| It wasn't often that the Healer came into camp. Only when he was passing through on his days that collections were needed to restock the piles in his den. It was on this very occasion he needed to pass through for he was low on sunflower seeds. Knowing the only way to the glade was through the camp. Still, as he drew close to the edge of the entrance, his eyes secretly gazed for the newly appointed Elite. Knowing that he needed to congratulate her on her fine accomplishment. With a heavy sigh, the healer crossed over and into the mixture of many wolves. There he saw the path that was needed to follow, but two females stood in the way. The was no other way around them, so the male approached the two of them. As the sizable healer came upon them, he lowered his head as to not over tower the two of them, for sometimes he felt too large for his own good. "Bonjour Mademoiselles." The accent was thick this morning as he cleared his throat of the hoarse sensation and sat before them.
Upon the air, he could sense that the pure white female was new to the lands, very new for the only scent on her was Nnyla's. The other however, he had seen a few times around the pack, and he name was Yiska. They had met briefly at the mandatory pack meeting and although brief, Jackle knew she was of a kind heart. There were two different tones about each female, one struck pride for her rank and humble notions of her past, and the other seemed young and nieve about Helidos for her brand new adventure was about to begin. Still, Jackle addressed the two of them, "My name is Jackle, I believe you are Yiska, we have meet when Quinn became Alphess at the meeting, and you I don't know who you are. You are new, that is all I know. Not to overwhelm you, but, I am a Healer here and should you ever need me, just ask where to find me." The tone sounded urgent and a little irritated, for he didn't want small talk, he just wanted to stock up on sunflower seeds from the glade and make his way back to his home. Where the solitude and sheer silence was all he could ever ask for. |
