Freedom was upon them now. They had lost one, but gained another ten times stronger in many ways. Secrets were spilled, and truths were confessed, and their loyalty served was exchanged in various forms. Some in silence, and others in bewildered desperateness. One reason being that Steele's death was caused by the foreign killer called by the name of Teren, a wise name in fact, this making him their new leader in replacement to the vile, putrid male's position. The other reason, well, now they, meaning the pairings of the pack which had found love, as well as her, were now free to be together without being forced upon with anyone else's genes asides their own truest lovers. The vibe of the clearing was quite apparent, not dull in color anymore than it used to be, but the difference after their former leader's murder was still there. But was it really murder after all? In some cases, she found it to be nothing more than bringing justice to the land, but of course that was simply her opinion. He was a waste, and his mate surely proved that, and even she couldn't fight for him to keep living. The idea alone of him standing close to the healer with strange ideas of pinning her for good use, just to breed his intentions into lives that will never be loved by the mother they were born from. The anger from within simmered and began to boil her insides, erupting a venomous growl from her windpipes to be freed to the air around her. If it weren't for Teren, she would've attempted to kill their leader herself. Even with him dead, the rage was still there, and she was so close to allowing it to pour from her onto the nearest tree or still object in her view.

The fragile, honey-colored fae slowly distanced herself back onto the paw-beaten path before continuing her travels to a lonelier territory. Being this close to the clearing could be hazardous if she were to take out her anger on an actual wolf, more importantly, her position could be a danger as well. The last she needed was their leader breathing down her neck about something she held no intention of releasing, nor did she ever expect to ever really hurt someone with the lack of training she had lost whilst applying her services here as a mender. It was probably one of the biggest disappointments of being a healer - not being able to keep combat skills alive, as one for the herbs and fixing was never meant for such tough-play - only to do what they do best; mend. Cliche, however, did not follow by such ridiculed words, and always found the time when she was in her natal pack to work on her efforts to keep her muscle tone in line with the rest of her health. Even as a doctor of the wolves, one was always supposed to keep up with certain specifics regarding their exercise, her's was just a tad rougher, she thought. If only she had the decency to ask someone for their skills to help her, it would always be an honor in helping a potential apprentice with finding herbs and healing wounds, but the idea of going back into the apprenticeship of sparing would be a bit harder, for her, that is. She knew enough to get by on, hunting on her own and fighting off small wolves, much like her size, just to survive. But that was more or less all she could do. But like she knew, too, her services had unfortunately made her lack in that department.

She sat comfortably atop a smooth, yet abnormally jagged rock that jutted out from the ground next to a tree that had grown between a pile of other boulders below. It granted her a nice shelter from the snow above, just enough so that the branches did not rock to cause the snow it weighed down on to fall onto her head. The light golden and brown she-wolf shook out her pelt before lowering her haunches back down again. The isle was beautiful at this time of year, she had to admit, though it was quite rare of her to even come this far beyond her pack lines. There were many adventures shared amongst her mate and her alone, but nothing such as this, that only reminded her that she and her beloved should sometime wonder over here a ways, just the enjoy the scenery and quiet it gave. She began to lick the tender, numbness out of her thick pads built over by the time she chose to sit there in the silence. Her ears rotated too and fro to the whistling of passing winds and soft songs made by the flock of birds heading south for the winter. It of course was a bit late into the season for them to be migrating, but the wolf kept to herself and relaxed atop the soft rock as if not a harm in the world could come to her gentle soul.

The sun had risen and set many times since the old king had fallen. Though even without his shadow cast upon all in the pack the days came and went as they always did. Nothing seemed to change other then a new tyrant to rule over them. Not one to complain the ebony fae much preferred Teren to Steele in more ways than none, but still the government of the pack still left a bad taste in her mouth. Now she could see why the others remained in Helidos, despite its soft exterior. They were listened to there, respected for traits that didn't earn respect and didn't walk in fear of losing a limb throughout the day. Those not gifted with the ability to shut up and do a job weren't ostracized, but instead taught the correct mannerisms. In Erenyx things were different. A smug look would get you a kick in the jaw and a question might cost you your life. However, living in constant anxiety did have it's perks. The fae had risen over her short year here from a lonely warrior to the Guardian of the Alpha. Her job may have slacked with the former, but now things would be different. Chiara now would devote herself to Teren and give her life to him if needed. It was rumored that Magnus would ask him of their mating soon, wouldn't hurt to be on his good side.

She had been giving the male space since he over took the pack. She didn't want to crowd him or overwhelm him, so she remained at a distance, letting him rest and waited for the right time to approach him. Today she was journeying far into the neutral lands, hoping to find out some information of the herds, a neighboring pack or something to break the ice to him. Perhaps she could even catch him a meal on her way, after all she was a skilled hunter when it came to birds and fish. Chiara sighed, the memories of the two years she spent as a loner filling her mind. The young fae had learned to be on her own at the old age of 18 months and that first winter was not easy on her. Large game was out of the question, and with the limit on rabbits the fae had to get creative with food. Birds took some time getting to catch, but were plentiful when she baited them with berries. Fishing, however, left her sopping wet a few too many times, but proved easy to catch once she learned how. Such memories made her feel slightly jealous of the easier life here. The hunter did most of the food catching here and there wasn't a sense of urgency of ones next meal as when she was on her own.

Trudging forward through the snow Chiara started up a short peak to a clearing by the mountain. The wind started up so her sense of smell was thrown off for a moment or else she would of noticed that she wasn't alone. Blinking back against the stinging onslaught of snow flakes Chiara could make out a figure perched on a rock in front of her. Unable to identify the wolf she stiffened and barked out. "Who are you wolf?"

At the corner of her line of vision, an object shifted and moved in closer - but she remained unfathomed by it, no matter the cost of danger it could bring her. Death was acceptable, she had learned that from a young age, and never feared it, nor think of it as much as one would think. She believed there was no decision upon death, it happened, which was why she did not fight for the survival of their former leader's life. It was his time, and she found no reason to change that if nature had planned it in the first place. The direction of the wind moved as well, capturing her and lingering through her honey dusted pelt like a cold hand with nimble, gentle fingers used to play a piano. Her muscles coiled beneath the icy air, tightening up close to her body to keep whats left of her warmth intact with the rest of her. Shivering once, she shook it off and rolled out a small sigh, which exceeded into a light cloud just off the tip of her tongue. The fae had just been leaning forwards, paws slowly reaching out in front of her, before pushing back up at the sound of a creature reaching closer to her position. Cliche's eyes narrowed, the fiery ambers glowing in her eyes like ash against hard coal as it burned against dry wood and flames.

Reaching back up onto her paws, the small fae peered safely over to the other bend, casting her set of glances into the direction furthest from her view to see a wolf standing at the edge. She was blessed in a dark brown pelt, an almost matching pigment to her lover and leader - though opposed with a matching pair of amber hues. The healer held a slight clue as to whom this creature was, for it was the Guardian, as predicted through her beautiful color of coat differed from the rest of their pack. Fortunately, Cliche could determine these suspicions by the wind's bringing of their scents to be fed into her nostrils. The honey- golden she-wolf carefully stayed where she was, ears flattened back from the harsh wind until it died down enough for her to hear herself think and speak, "It is I, Healer Cliche, the fae which is in love with your beloved's friend, the Lead Warrior, Tye of Erenyx." She said as a hint of a smile twitched at the corner of her lips, though her gentle tone soon faded to it's normal softness as the wind left their presence. "-Chiara - Guardian Chiara, what is that brings you here?" The mender averted her gaze to the female, holding back an inward sigh as she was just about to rest upon the rock like she had wanted to do so before. She did, however, lowering herself carelessly before the Guardian female once after granting her a friendly nod of her head in neutral respects amongst her rank. It was clear to tell that both of their lovers were in the line of worship and superiority, but of course, Cliche was amongst the small crowd of normal individuals - commoners. The thought itself made her feel weak, less important, that is, even though she fought every thing to impress those around her to grant her something worth while close to her mate.

Chiara squinted through the whipping wind and the smooth voice confirmed her suspicions of who owned the voice of the mountain. Stepping closer the black fae's tail swung and hung at half mast, a calm position and not demanding respect as she had grown accustom too. She knew Cliche was friends with Magnus's friend Tye, their lead warrior. Even though Cliche was a mere healer she held respect for her and wouldn't force her rank over her head as she did to most others. However, Cliche's nature demanded her to submit to Chiara, which she frowned at. "Please don't submit to me Cliche. Even though I out rank you I hold healer's in high regard and don't see why you should have to submit to me. To be one to heal and save lives earns more respect then fighting well in my eyes." She said, sitting down across from the fae. "I came out here to think and to look for possible prey up here. You?" She questioned, swinging her dark amber gaze to the fae.

Her memory was fresh from what Cliche had said at the pack meeting. Her violent announcement out loud about Teren murdering Steele made her smile and her anger still flared when Katyusha threatened her about it. She knew Cliche wasn't the only wolf with those dark thoughts, but she was the bravest to speak them openly. For that she respected the fae and would protect her lest Katyusha wanted to uphold her decree. "I must ask you something as it may pertain to both of us. At the meeting while Teren killed Steele you spoke openly words that conveyed your ill feelings for him. Did he tell you as well that you were to birth young from him prior to Tye?" She questioned, not knowing the fae's fate or if Steele had gotten to her first before the over throwing.
