| Quiet steps carried the female through the unfamiliar territory. She had been searching for a pack to join, one that was equally as bloodthirsty as she was. However, she had yet to find ANY packs. Coming to a stop a scent hit her nose. It was a scent line. Looking around her ears flicked. No one was in sight. Tipping her head back the fae pushed a calling howl from between her ebony lips. Allowing the tune to ring out of her maw for a few more seconds she stopped. She didn't want to carry one too long and be annoying. Lowering her head she focused her golden gaze on the brush in front of her dusty colored form. There she was, standing at the edge of the border waiting for someone to come. Hopefully this was a decent pack, if not she wouldn't hesitate to walk away. She would not have herself associating with a bunch of goody goody wolves. Lashing her tail at the thought she huffed and shook her head, returning to a normal stance. She would wait here as long as she needed to, but her mood might drastically change if they kept her waiting too long. Hopefully the leader them self came, that would be interesting. Being accepted, or not, into a pack by its leader. |

| The ebony fae was, as usual, purposefully striding forward with her tail curled upwards. Her gait, however, was impaired by a sprain, from her struggle with a ram, atop the highest peak in all of Erenyx lands. She eventually defeated it, coming away with only a sprained leg - which was quite mediocre, since she was battling a large male sheep, with more pounding their way up the steep incline. Now, despite her injury, she still held herself as usual, doing her best to keep from walking on it inconspicuously. She knew, regardless, she had to continue to fulfill her duties, being the highest ranking fae, as both Beta female and Guardian female were not currently occupied. And as Teren’s trainee, she didn’t want to be seen as weak, and unable to take a hit. Shoulders rolling, her long legs streched out with each step as she stalked forward eyes alert yet lazily observing, and ears roving at every little sound that caught her interest for even a millisecond. Her snout dropped to the territory line, inhaling to make sure the scent was still strong, so that no idiotic Rouges or Loners were to walk over it, mistakenly or not. Sure enough, it was strong as ever, and she gave a pleased nod to herself, proceeding on pacing the border of Erenyx. Her tongue absently flicked out, to clean off any spots of red blood that may be staining her muzzle, left over from the vole she had eaten earlier to eradicate her hunger. She was perfectly prepared for another boring, unexciting day patrolling the borders, as it had been mostly uneventful lately. So when a melodic, beckoning howl graced her auditories, she paused to listen to it. She stayed still until the cry softened and softened until it eventually died out completely, before turning on her heel toward the source, raising her nose to test the air. Strolling forward, she made her way to where the odor of a female grew stronger and stronger, until her metallic visionaries landed upon Adira, immediately inspecting her. She was of many different hues of brown and tan, with eyes not completely unlike her own, but lacking her signature twinge of silver that made them unique. Her stature was impressive, for a wanderer, with a lean build. The obsidian femme kept her stance of a high rank as she approached, watching the multicoloured female closely, fur taut against her muscles as they were pronounced by her movements. ”You wander close to the border, fae.” She said in a low tone, deep voice raspy. She halted, still inside of the territory line, her stare intense as she looked straight at the girl, clearly especting her to show some form of submission, and without dally. ”I am Elite Ariste. What do you want, approaching the borders of Erenyx, ruled by Alpha Teren? Make it quick, I am patient, but my time will not be wasted.” Never once did her voice waver, not hostile, nor angry, nor impatient. Simply a cool calm, but still in no way calming to the other Canine, or attempting to be relaxing. She lapsed into silence, awaiting the reply to her query in cold quiet. |

| Adira had only stood there for a few minutes before someone approached. An ebony fae by the name of Ariste, Interesting name. As she continued to speak Adira nodded a bit to herself, yes this was a good pack. As far as the females rank, Adira knew nothing of the ranks in these packs but in her home pack an elite was a high ranking member and they were highly valued. "It is an honor Elite. I am Adira, I'm sure your time is valuable so I will make this as straight to the point as I can. I am here to ask for acceptance into the pack that resides here if I may." she responded, dipping her head respectfully to the female, as her voice carried an equally respectful tone. She knew that they wouldn't accept her without knowing what she was good for. "Assuming this pack is accepting members I feel that I will be most useful to your Alpha and pack as a fighter, as I haven't been trained in healing, or extensively in hunting. However I will, of course, take whatever rank you deem fit for me." she added after a minute or so, her voice never losing its respectful tone. She wasn't about to go demanding a rank and or being disrespectful. She simply wanted to get it all in the open now. This fae would surely ask her some more questions, she was prepared to answer any question the elite would ask. |

| The Elite female kept an eye on the multi-hued fae before her, her stance never once wavering. She listened as Adira spoke, it no immense interest was shown in her eyes. Only that she wasn't completely ignoring her. When she finished her first sentence, her gaze intensified, and she snorted slightly in displeasure. Sure, she was being respectful, but so far she'd given no reason as to why she should be allowed into Erenyx. However, allowing her to continue, she got what she wished - her supposed 'skills', her displeasure only grew at her words. She did not particularly like that she assumed herself to be needed, or at least that was how the words clicked into the four year old femme's mind. Her voice did not change very much, except now an undercurrent of warning resided in it, beneath a few icy layers. "Yes, it is true that we are accepting members. But we have many skilled Warriors and other ranks within this line - why would we need you, as well? Hunting, whether or not you are a hunter is important, and should you ever be accepted, it would be wise of you to improve. We don't stand for those who don't pull their weight." Each word fell from her maw pointedly, eyes still smoldering with the same fiery gaze, but her stance as calm as before, the burning rage limited to only her eyes, residing there like a fire flickering. "Tell me - why do you think that you would be so useful." She spat, lowering her head slightly, and shifting her weight. She was trying to rile her up. She'd done this with another at the borders, and she wanted to test it once again, for she would not accept a weakling. 'Or better yet, show us.' The small voice in the back of her head hissed quietly. Without further prompting, making sure she was at the best advantage for her injured leg, the onyx vixen shifted forward, jaw opening at lightning speed, as she snapped for Adira's scruff and aimed to twist her head, pushing her down into the gound with her front paw. "Useless mutts are not welcome here."____________________________________ Attack: Leaping for Adira's scruff, attempting to latch on and shove her down with her paw Defense: None Injuries: None

| As the charcoal fae spoke Adira was tempted to lunge forward and show this female how useful she could be. Though before she could get out a reply that she would surely force to be polite the elite lunged forward. 'Ill show you who's the useless mutt.', With that thought in mind the sandy fae sprung into action. Quickly assessing that the higher up was making for her scruff Adira leap to the side, though the movement didn't completely remove her from the snapping jaws of the attacking female. Feeling her teeth slide into her right thigh the female yelped before spinning herself quickly towards the pack wolf. She aimed to latch her jaws onto the hip of the ebony wolf, more so the skin and muscle where the back left leg attached to her main body ((see the "Tensor fasciae latae" on this diagram)). If successful she would try to clamp her jaw closed and pull all her weight backwards in a well placed yank aimed to throw the female off balance. Even if she wasn't successful Adira would lock her hind legs in a half bent position, one that would both keep her balanced and allow a fair amount of quick mobility of she needed to avoid another attack. Ears pinned against her nape a quite growl rumbled from her chest, she wasn't trying to be disrespectful but she also wasn't about to let some other female slam her into the ground because she was a high ranking wolf. After all, this females rank meant nothing to her if her life was at stake. For all she knew this female aimed to kill her.
All that was flashing through the mind of the tawny female right now was how to out fight the elite. She surely had this position for a reason, however Adira knew how to detach herself from the creature she was fighting. This female meant nothing to her. If she could kill her own brother she could defend herself against a higher ranking wolf. Another quiet snarl tore out of her chest. If this denied her access to the pack so be it, this fae had started it, Adira was going to finish it. If that meant injuring a superior than it meant injuring a superior. The more she thought about the possible repercussions of this fight the more irritated she got. She wouldn't allow this Elite to admit her to the pack as something like an omega either, she was better than that. She was better than warrior too but she knew that wishing for any higher would be unrealistic. Now that was something she would need to work for within the pack. If this thick headed fae would allow her in. Feeling the blood trickle down her side only excited the crazed female. Many would hate being injured but not Adira, the rush of battle and the thrill of blood only shoved her deeper into her crazed state. If this female wasn't careful she would push Adira over the edge and that would put her at risk for serious injury. Though Adira wouldn't consciously hurt or kill this wolf she tended to black out in life threatening situations. Something she didn't wish to do on the border of her possible pack. Giving her head a slight shake the twin pools of gold on her face narrowed into slits. She needed to focus if she was to win this, however the darkness that invaded upon the edges of her vision was getting rather distracting. |

| No facial response came from Ariste. Not even her maw parted to emit a snarl, and she did not stop to savour the blood that flooded her mouth and slide down her throat, the taste sweet and coppery on her tongue. She was pleased as her fangs found home in the female's thigh, drawing blood. She twisted on three legs, using her weight to whirl around fast enough to meet the next attack. She watched the female's every motion, even in the flurry of movement, studying her fighting style in the time she got. That time, however, was quite short, as already a counter attack was being thrown at her. Her eyes followed Adira, trying to gauge how she was attacking. A millisecond too made did she work it out, fangs hardly gazing her hip, but luckily finding no hold, as having two legs injured would make things far more difficult. That, and the humiliation of being beaten by the one she was going to answer at the border. However, she had not won her title out of pure favouritism. She wheeled once again to face the fae, pinpricks of blood peering out from her scrape, but none falling to the earthy floor, staining it scarlet. Her tail flicked, once again staying resting above her back, audits in the same position on the top of her cranium. Eyes squinted, but no further attack was made, as she stood as she had only moments before the sudden attack. She gave no indication of giving up, but she didn't want to waste her time - she didn't need to see anymore. She only wanted to see the fae's reaction, and it wasn't terrible. She'd seen far worse. Her voice was strong, and her gaze scathing, body braced for any attack as she stared down Adira. "Your response was nothing special as if I were truly attacking, you would be little more than a writhing and crying lump of fur, but enough to keep you from being killed on the spot. But should I except you into Erenyx with the rank of Warrior, I expect you to train far more than that. you will be shown no mercy, and if you do not pull your own weight, you will be met with exile or death." She paused to shift her weight, even being shorter, she somehow managed to give the appearance of looking down on her with the same look. "Do you pledge your loyalty to the pack and it's members, but most of all, to serve under Teren's rule?" She asked, voice flat as she peered at Adira, waiting for her response, physical or verbal. She searched her eyes for a hint of fear, hesitation that would give her away as she stood, appearing more patient and calm than she truly was. |

| As she lashed back at the ebony elite Adira felt her fangs met flesh, however as only a drop of metallic, sweet blood entered her mouth the sandy fae knew she had done little damage. Golden gaze locked on the pack wolf her ears flicked. She did not move to attack again, though Adira didn't give up her stance just yet as the female spoke it was clear that she wasn't going to attack again. Raising completely to her paws, though not letting her guard down her tail fell between her back legs at a normal position. After all she wasn't here to show dominance she was here to join a pack. Blinking as e elite female spoke some more she watched her intently, no fear, nor hatred, nor annoyance flitted in her gaze. Simply understanding and guardedness. No even in the elites speech she still had yet to drop her guard. The she wolf spoke of Adira bettering her skills, well there was in fact always room for imporoovemnt, she couldn't argue with her. Loyalty? Serving under the malicious teen, demon king? Of course she would. Why would she be here if she didn't want that? Not questioning the high ranking female she allowed her to finish speak before reasponding.
"Yes. I nearby pledge my loyalty, strength, and my life to Teren and the pack of Erenxy." pausing she thought for a second before speaking again, her tail and ears remaining at a normal position. "Also elite. I meant no dispresct by the attack, i was simply defending myself in order to show you what I was capable of as you seemed to have wanted." she added, dipping her head once respectfully. She wasn't mooching and her tone wasn't apologetic. She was simply stating that she hadn't been trying to over power the female. 'Had I wished to harm her I would have...' she mused to herself. Though she realistically had no idea if that was true or not Adira was a self empowering fae. She believed in her own abilities even if she had no reason to do such. It was one of the reasons she was so crazed. |

| Ariste watched with a satisfied look, that melted back into an unreadable one, that looked like it could be one of many things. Disgust, unamusement, but which one it truly was remained fuzzy. Her tail weaved, lashing in its high position, and her breath steadied. Her salmon tongue pressed against her teeth, wishing she could simply think the heat away as the relentless heat pelted down on her. Her gaze once again rested on Adira intensely, like an owl scrutinizing a mouse trapped beneath its talon, prepared to devour it. "Then, Adira, I accept you as a Warrior of Erenyx. I expect you to know your place, and pull your own weight." She rumbled, voice coming from within her chest, making it come out raspy and low, as if she hadn't used her vocal cords in some time. Shifting her weight, her ebony paws disturbed the soil as she once again moved, turning slightly as she prepared to leave. "I trust you can find your own way to the camp." Her head tipped to the side, as if it were a question, though it clearly wasn't. The leaves rustled as she disturbed them, brushing against the foliage. Turning completely on the spot, she took her leave, wandering back into the underbrush and disappearing as her pelt mixed with the shadowy setting around it.

| Adira nodded quietly to the high ranking fae before padding over the border. As her paws connected with erenyx soil she grinned. Finally she was with a group that was just like her. Brutal, bloodthirsty, cruel. It was all as she had hoped. Now, however, she would begin her quest to prove herself to Teren. Prove herself to the pack as a whole, that she was worthy of a high ranking position herself. If she could do this she would be exactly where she had dreamed of being for some time now. Shaking her head she shook out her coat before jogging off into her new home, intent on learning the lay out of the land and maybe meeting some of her pack mates. As she set off her golden eyes narrowed, she would prove to that ebony female how useful she was, she would one day rise to her level. On that day, that very moment, she would feel complete. Growling to herself she disappeared from view of the border, Adira was not one to fail at her goals. This one would be no different. |
